An Improved Method to Construct T-S Fuzzy Model

  • This paper presents an improved method that constructs an equivalent T-S fuzzy model for nonlinear systems expressed by nonlinear differential equations including terms of power series. The method in this paper has fewer numbers of the rules than the previous methods as well as exactly expresses nonlinear systems. Moreover, this method can get wider feasible area satisfying the stability conditions than the previous methods. We show the improvement of modeling by comparing the proposed method with two previous methods through an inverted pendulum on a cart.

  • The efficiency of electric machine is important due to increase of interest about energy saving. Single Phase Line Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor has high efficiency and power factor. LSPMSM offer a high efficiency as compared induction motor which are used in the home appliance. The analysis and design of LSPMSM is difficult because of unbalanced rotating magnetic field, nonlinear characteristics and rotor saliency. To consider these effects, F.E.M(Finite Element Methods) is coupled equivalent circuit methods. In this paper, a methods of analysis and design using F.E.M and equivalent circuit is represented.

  • This paper propose a variable parameter estimations for variable over current load of five-phase squirrel-cage induction motor(IM) to servo control system. In order to high performance control of AC motor using a field oriented control(FOC) and direct torque control(DTC) algorithm, there are required precise motor parameters for slip calculation, flux observer, controller gain, torque command of current components, rotor position, speed estimation, and so on. We are suggest a analyzed estimation results of the motor parameters that developing five-phase squirrel-cage IM have a stator of concentrated winding for experimental within variable over current load at rated input frequency. There are results of stator winding measurement, no-load test, locked-rotor test, variable over current load test, and estimated parameters of equivalent circuits using manufactured experimental apparatus by IEEE Standard Test Procedure for Polyphase Induction Motors and Generators 112-2004.

  • The new approach of homogeneous robust control systems synthesis, both linear, and nonlinear and non-stationary is offered. The control is carried out, providing the given phase constrains varied in acceptable limits, in view of constrains on its value and incompleteness of the information about functioning disturbances. The approach is based on introduction of auxiliary integral surfaces, on which the initial moving is projected. As a result the reduced equivalent moving is forming, described by the scalar equation which in many important cases can be integrated directly. On the basis of the obtained equation solving of a synthesis task is carried out and can be reduced to algebraic or integral inequalities. The final relations defined for linear equivalent moving are presented.

  • An analytic solution approach to the time-varying obstacle avoidance problem is pursued. We formulate the problem in robot joint space(JS), and introduce the view-time concept to deal with the time-varying obstacles. The view-time is a set of continuous times in which a time-varying obstacle is viewed and approximated by an equivalent stationary obstacle. The equivalent stationary obstacle is transformed into the JS obstacle. In JS, the path and trajectory avoiding the JS obstacle is planned.

  • To examine the residual stress field resulting from stamping process for the lower control arm of a car, the explicit finite element analysis is performed for the stamping process by way of the ABAQUS Explicit. The residual stress is obtained in terms of the Von Mises stress and other parameters such as equivalent plastic strain, the change of blank thickness, the final configuration of the blank and the spring back effect are also considered.   • In this paper, the optimal digital redesign is studied within the framework of fuzzy systems and dual-rate sampling control theory. An equivalent fast-rate discrete-time state-space model of the continuous-time system is constructed by using fuzzy inference systems. To obtain the optimal feedback gains developed in the continuous-time system, the constructed fuzzy system is converted into a continuous-time system. The developed continuous-time control law is converted into an equivalent slow-rate digital control law using the proposed digital redesign method. The digital redesign technique using a fuzzy model is employed to simulate the inverted pendulum dynamics.

  • Mechanical and electrical parameter uncertainties cause dynamic and static estimation errors of the rotor speed and position, resulting in performance deterioration of sensorless control systems. This paper applies an extended nonlinear observer to interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM) for the simultaneous estimation of the rotor speed and position. Two compensation methods are proposed to improve the observer performance against parameter uncertainties: an on-line rotational inertia adjustment approach that employs the gradient descent algorithm to suppress dynamic estimation errors, and an equivalent flux error compensation approach to eliminate static estimation errors caused by inaccurate electrical parameters. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is demonstrated by experimental tests.

Analysis of Principle and Performance of a New 4DOF Hybrid Magnetic Bearing

  • To satisfy the requirement of magnetically suspended control moment gyroscope (MSCMG) that magnetic bearing can provide torque, a novel 4DOF hybrid magnetic bearing (HMB) with integrated structure was designed. Mathematical models of forces and torques are established by using equivalent magnetic circuit method. The current stiffness, displacement stiffness, tilting current stiffness and angular stiffness of the 4DOF hybrid magnetic bearing are derived by the mathematical models. Equivalent magnetic circuit method and finite element method (FEM) simulation results indicate that the force has a good linear relationship with both displacement and current, and the torque has a good linear relationship with angular displacement and current. The novel 4DOF HMB is capable of achieving control in both two radial translational degrees of freedom (DOF) and also two radial rotational DOFs. The 4DOF HMB is well adapted to MSCMG system, exhibiting advantages in the controllable DOF, light weight and easy to control.
