친환경 교통서비스의 도입효과 분석방법론 : 카쉐어링 서비스 사례 (A Methodology of Analyzing Effects of an Environmentally Friendly Transportation Service : The Case of Carsharing Service)

  • Recently, as concerns about environmental improvement have increased, various environmentally friendly transportation services have been developed and introduced. However, the effect on the introduction of such services has been not analyzed through a systematic methodology and process. Therefore, this research aims at suggesting a framework to analyze the effect of an environmentally friendly transportation service and investigating the validity of the framework. To the ends, a process to analyze the degree of improvement in transportation systems and environments, the linkage with existing policies, and profitability of the service is proposed. In addition, the concept and value of carsharing service, a representative environmentally friendly transportation service are explained and then the effects of the service are examined in terms of the aforementioned analytic areas, respectively. The results of this research can be utilized to provide the validity of a newly developed environmentally friendly transportation service and reflected to the policies of transportation and environment.

해외 친환경 병원 인증기준 고찰 : 미국, 영국, 호주를 중심으로 (Accreditation Criteria of Environmentally-Friendly Hospitals in the USA, UK and Australia)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare accreditation criteria of environmentally-friendly hospitals in the USA, UK and Australia and find out the implications for Korean hospitals. The comparison was made in terms of 11 categories : sustainable site, water efficiency, energy & atmosphere, transportation, indoor environmental quality, health, material & resources, management, waste, innovation, and regional priority. Literature review of the study revealed that most of the environmentally-friendly hospitals have experienced such positive effects as cost saving, health promotion of patients & employees and good reputation etc. The study result implies that the following factors are so critical to settle environmentally-friendly hospitals in Korea: 1) CEO's interest & support, 2) education for employees, 3) efficient renovation of existing facility and 4) data accumulation on the effectiveness of environmentally- friendly hospitals by scientific methods.

  • Currently, the most important issue on the earth is global warming, which causes climate change and leads to disasters. For this reason, each country is focusing on renewable energy, carbon neutrality, environmentally friendly energy and transportation. Bicycles used as short-distance vehicles do not emit gases harmful to the human body that pollute the Earth's atmosphere. Also, the use of bicycles has the effect of improving the health of people, and each country is designing a short distance transportation network using bicycles. In this study, we propose a model of a bicycle power-train that can use a belt as a power transmission medium. The basic principles and methods for applying the proposed new type of power-train to bicycles are presented.

Characteristic Analysis of a Linear Induction Motor for 200-km/h Maglev

  • As a result of the current population concentrations in urban centers, demand for intercity transportation is increasing rapidly. Railway transportation is becoming popular as an intercity transportation because of its timely service, travel speeds and transport efficiency. Among the many railway systems, the innovative and environmentally friendly maglev system has been rated very highly as the next-generation intercity railway system. Linear induction motors are widely used for the propulsion of maglev trains because of their light weight and low construction costs. The urban maglev that was recently completed in Incheon airport site employs a 110km/h class linear induction motor. However, this system was designed to meet requirements for inner-city operations and is not suitable as an intercity transportation system, which requires medium to high speeds. Therefore, this study deals with the characteristics and designs of linear induction motors used for the propulsion of maglev trains that can be used as intercity trains. Rail car specifications for high-speed trains have been presented, and the characteristics of linear induction motors that can be used for the propulsion of these trains have been derived using the finite element method (FEM).

서울 수도권의 자동차 의존성 분석 (Analysis of Car Dependence in Seoul Metropolitan Area)

  • 최근 철도정책이 KTX 개통 이후 속도 향상, 편의성 개선, 역 중심의 공간창출 등 이용자 서비스 중심으로 전환하는 중에 있다. 이는 철도의 차별화 서비스 전략으로 녹색교통수단의 입지를 강화하고자 하는 데 있다. 이러한 철도 유틸리티 개선 노력에도 불구하고 국민의 자동차 의존적 교통행동양식 때문에 자동차에서 철도로의 전환에 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 수도권 통근자 대상으로 자동차 의존성을 분석하였다. 자동차 의존성 분석결과 환경의식은 대중교통만족도와 함께 자동차 의존성에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변수로 작용하였고, 이는 철도 서비스 개선과 함께 환경의식을 이용한 사회마케팅이 자동차의존성을 약화시킬 수 있는 정책대안이 될 수 있다 것을 확인하였다.

  • 기업들의 경쟁이 지역적, 시간적 제약을 벗어나 세계화 되고 있는 현재, 고객 서비스 향상과 물류비용절감을 위해 효율적인 물류시스템을 구축하고 운영하는 것에 많은 노력을 기울이고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 기업들이 공동화지역을 이루어 비용 경쟁력을 가질 수 있는 친환경 산업단지의 필요성이 증대되고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 물류단지를 구축하기 위해서는 적절한 정책과 화물수송 공동화를 통한 물류시스템이 필요하다. 특히, 산업 단지내 물류시스템의 체계구축을 통한 효율적인 운영은 물류도시의 저비용 친환경적인 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 적절한 운영모델이 네트워크에 활용되면 집화된 수송량이 보다 적절한 수단들과 기술들에 의해 수송되기 때문에 효율성이 제고될 수 있다. 그러나 이러한 장점에도 불구하고 문제의 복잡성 등으로 인하여 네트워크 설계 연구는 활발하게 수행되지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 물류체계를 분석하고 분석내용을 바탕으로 물류단지의 모형화를 위한 기본설정 및 시뮬레이션을 통한 운영모형을 제시함으로서 물류산업단지의 기반구축 자료를 제시하는데 목적이 있다.
