This study was conducted to investigate the living environment of semi-basement housing units in multi-household houses. It analyzed measurements of temperature and humidity obtained from the housing units. For this study, temperature and humidity sensors were installed in 10 semi-basement housing units to measure interior temperature and humidity for 13 months. A survey was conducted to get information about the occurrence of dew condensation and mildew and to investigate residents' satisfaction level with the residential environment. According to the result, all the housing units under study had dew condensation and mildew. The average summer temperature of the 10 housing units was $27.84^{\circ}C$, and average humidity was 64.91%RH, while the average winter temperature was $20.6^{\circ}C$, and the average humidity was 40.12%RH. Depending on the condition of each housing unit, deviation was big. Residents' average level of satisfaction with the living condition was 2.03 which shows a low satisfaction (on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being completely satisfied.).
This study was aimed at examining the determinants of organizational creativity at nursing care units of university hospitals. Using some items of the Creative Nursing Practice Index(CNPI), the Nursing Work Index-Revised(NWI-R), and the Work Preference Inventory(WPI), an empirical study was conducted with a sample of 543 nurses at 49 nursing care units in two university hospitals in Korea. Data collected from the individual respondents were aggregated and transformed into the secondary data at organizational level. The data were analyzed, using Pearson correlation and hierarchical multiple regression method. The results of the study showed that organizational creativity has positive relationships to task motivation, including enjoyment and challenge to work, and work environment supporting nurses' autonomy and collaboration. Task motivation of the units and autonomous work environment explained 16.3% and 7.9% respectively in the variance of the organizational creativity. Organizational creativity was found to be significantly influenced by challenge and autonomous environment. This result implies that nursing managers should make an efforts to enhance the organizational creativity of nursing units by motivating their staff to challenge to a novel way of doing at work and making the work environment more autonomous.
The construction debris has been enormously increased since 90's because of a reconstruction and developing a new building site. Under the construction law, construction debris must legally recycle or reclaim at cost, but almost people have depended on reclamation of the illegal process to treat construction debris. Therefore, the environmental disruption and contamination have been begun the hot issue of society and in controversy with residents. With the consequence that indicates a substitute about an application of construction debris units is the most important thing for studying construction debris of quantity when the construction units are demolished. Nowadays, the area under the housing environment amelioration policies is getting rapidly old, then it is beyond anticipating reconstruction. Before construction units are demolished, generally three of four engineers investigate or predict the quantity of construction debris for two months. But this study is using the units of construction debris instead of the investigation and gets more precise data than investigation or prediction. In conclusion, the purpose of this study offers that units of construction debris can alternate the investigating of construction debris and curtail the expenses of labors and finances. Finally, those effects are going to make economical benefits covering the whole of the process of constructions.
Programming-in-the-Large refers to software development environment and includes the organization and representation of a system structure, module decomposition, component dependence analysis, seperate compilation, subsystem and composition identification. The most intricate problem in this environment is the mastery of the structural complexity of large software systems. Ada programming language is tailored to the needs for building of large, integrated software systems from many program units. The visibility graph generating model presented in this paper transforms Ada source program into a visibility graph with nodes for program units and edges for visibility relations among program units. The system description in terms of program units and their visibility relations produced by this model can be utilized for some apects of Programming-in-the-Large environment and also assists designeers, programmers, integrators and maintainers in defining, understanding and exploring the structure of evolving software systems. The model designed and implemented in Ada programming language runs on PCs and will remain useful both in practice and as experimental tool.
In the summer, the irradiated solar heat gain through the roof has an effect on the thermal environment of the top floor units of apartment houses. This paper investigated the differences of the indoor air temperature and thermal comfort index between the top floor unit and the middle floor unit by measuring them at the sample houses. The purpose of this paper is to provide quantitative data about the irradiated solar heat gain during the summertime through the roof of an apartment house and these data to be the source to reevaluate the appropriate roof insulation efficiency. From this study, we obtained the brief results as follows. Indoor air temperature at the top floor unit is $1.2\sim2.2^{\circ}C$ higher than that of middle floor unit. The evaluation of the indoor thermal comfort index at each sample rooms reveals notable thermal differences between the two units. Top floor units need more cooling load during the summertime compared to middle floor units. Therefore, solutions to reduce solar Heat gain at top floor units to be considered.
The construction wastes have been enormously increased after 90's, but construction wastes have depended on reclamation, therefore the environmental disruption and contamination are getting in the hot issue of society and in controversy with residents. With the consequence that indicates a substitute about an application of construction waste units is the most important thing for studying construction wates of quantity when the construction units are demolished. Nowadays, the area under the housing environment amelioration policies is getting rapidly old, then it is beyond anticipating reconstruction. Likewise, it is common when the process of construction wastes make progress to investigate uneconomically in point of facts, therefore to derive economical effects using construction wastes units should be urgent as soon as possible. In conclusion, the purpose of this study offers the variety of construction wastes and process of treatments, comparison of which the construction is demolished and economical effects of application of construction units.
Purpose: This study was aimed at (a) describing professional nursing practice environments embedded in nursing care units and (b) examining its relationships to nurses' task motivation. Method: Using the Nursing Work Index Revised (NWI-R) and the Work Preference Inventory (WPI), a descriptive study was conducted with a sample of 320 registered nurses on 26 nursing care units in one University hospital in Korea. Result: Mean scores were 12.9 on a 5-20 score range of an autonomous environment scale, 7.3 on a 3-12 score range of a collaborative environment, and 15.8 on a 7-28 score range of control over nursing practice. Nurses' age, educational level, job position, working period at the hospital and employment status were significantly related to the degree of a professional practice environment. The extent to which a professional practice environment accounted for task motivation was $19.5\%$. Conclusion: There is a certain degree of professionalism in the workplace environment that nurses perceived within the nursing care units. When nurses care for patients, the degree of task motivation depends on the work environment supporting the professional nursing practice.
Purpose: This study is for the facility eligibility and improvement evaluation analysis for the patient care environment of 7 facilities which has national inpatient isolation units.
