The entrepreneurship is a key success factor of industrial development in global competitive environments. but there is no entrepreneurship index/indicator which gives comprehensive advantages for monitoring and forecasting entrepreneur environments in Korea. The purpose of the study is developing Entrepreneurship Survey Index(ESI) which considering various significant entrepreneur factors. The suggested ESI in this exploratory study consists of entrepreneurship business index(EBI), entrepreneurship environment index(EEI) and entrepreneurship preparation index(EPI). The EBI is composed of overall business factors which revised from practical studies and expert reviews. The EEI is mainly retrieved Global Entrepreneurship Monitor(GEM) and partially modified by an expert advisor to identify entrepreneur environments. The EPI is developed for evaluating and confirming the capability, plan and intention of the pre-entrepreneurship. The practical survey of using the proposed ESI will enhance the power of forecasting the entrepreneurship environment changes and provide effective entrepreneurship policy making for stakeholder.
Research on entrepreneurial giftedness is in its initial stage and the importance is increasing these days. The purpose of this article is to establish a foundation of entrepreneurial giftedness research by conceptualizing the concept and characteristics of entrepreneurial giftedness. The author reviewed prior research on entrepreneur and entrepreneurship, potential entrepreneur, gifted youth in invention, and entrepreneurial gifted youth, and proposed a new perspective on entrepreneurial gifted youth based on the findings from the review. Entrepreneurial giftedness proposed in this study is someone who is risk-taking to achieve opportunities and innovation and who has potential to be competent in managing resources. The author also proposed that entrepreneurial giftedness study needs to focus on developmental characteristics, management ability, and practical intelligence. Finally, based on the findings from previous research on entrepreneurial giftedness, environmental and personality characteristics, temperament and character, cognitive traits, and vocational interest of entrepreneurial giftedness are discussed. Implications and further research directions were discussed.
Compared to men, women experience difficulties in fund-raising, which can be a fundamental impediment to the success of women entrepreneurs. In this study, we examine whether is a difference between genders in the initial funding performance of start-up companies and confirm whether there are differences in organizational factors and entrepreneur factors that affect the initial funding performance. Data were collected through a survey of technology-based start-up companies located in the metropolitan area, and 287 companies were used for hypothesis analysis. The results reveal that there was a significant difference between genders in the investment attraction performance of early-stage entrepreneurs. In addition, as a result of the split-group regression analysis, it was found that in the case of men, firm age, early firm size, starting capital, engineering major had a significant effect on men. However, in the case of the women's group, it was confirmed that all the variables related to the organizational factors and entrepreneur factors were not significant. This study indirectly suggests that prejudices such as gender role stereotypes actually affect economic activities related to investment attraction activities.

The government budget for promoting startup have been skyrocketed as catching up with increasing demands for high-tech startup by disruptive innovation resulted from rapid technology change. However, major trend of startup have still fallen on self-employed type of startup due to the lack of expertise and fund in spite of desperate government policy efforts. In reality, the access to high-tech startup has been very limited and too high huddle to would-be entrepreneur. This paper implement empirical analysis on the effects of entrepreneur competency and satisfaction level to government support, considering these as the KSF for the growth and success of high-tech startup, to the performance of the company. In particular, it focus on defining unique characteristics of high-tech startup through differential proving by the backgrounds of entrepreneur such as major, R&D experience, patent possession, CTO possession. This research carry out survey to 217 entrepreneurs in high-tech company in Daejon and Daegue at R&D Special Innopolis Zone. Research results are as follow. First, entrepreneurial achievement competencies, conceptualization competencies, network competencies and market recognition competencies positively affect the financial and non-financial performance and organizational and technical competencies, while organizational and technological competencies only positively impact on non-financial performance. Second, the satisfaction level of government support showed a positive moderating effect on entrepreneurial achievement competencies and financial performance, while no significant effect in other competencies. Third, positive differential effect by the technological background of entrepreneur such as Major, R&D experience, patent possession, CTO possession) have been confirmed. This paper deliver several significant implications and contributions, First, it propose classified and systematized entrepreneur competency through the domestic and foreign literature reviews. Second, it proves the need for the wider spread of team based startup culture rather then sole startup. Third, it also proves the important role of technological background of entrepreneur among the characteristics of high-tech startup.

In recent years, the need for social ventures that aim to grow while solving social problems through the efficiency and effectiveness of commercial organizations in the market has increased, while there is a limit to how much the government and the public can do to solve social problems. Against this background, the number of social venture startups is increasing in the domestic startup ecosystem, and interest in impact investors, which are investors in social ventures, is also increasing. Therefore, this research utilized judgment analysis technology to objectively analyze the validity and weight of judgment information based on the cognitive process and decision-making environment in the investment decision-making of impact investors. We proceeded with the research by constructing three classifications; first, investment priorities at the initial investment stage for financial benefit and return on investment as an investor, second, the political skills of the entrepreneurs (teams) for the social impact and ripple power, and social venture coexistence and solidarity, third, the social mission of a social venture that meets the purpose of an impact investment fund. As a result of this research, first of all, the investment decision-making priorities of impact investors are the expertise of the entrepreneur (team), the potential rate of return when the entrepreneur (team) succeeds, and the social mission of the entrepreneur (team). Second, impact investors do not have a uniform understanding of the investment decision-making factors, and the factors that determine investment decisions are different, and there are differences in the degree of the weighting. Third, among the various investment decision-making factors of impact investment, "entrepreneur's (team's) networking ability", "entrepreneur's (team's) social insight", "entrepreneur's (team's) interpersonal influence" was relatively lower than the other four factors. The practical contribution through this research is to help social ventures understand the investment determinant factors of impact investors in the process of financing, and impact investors can be expected to improve the quality of investment decision-making by referring to the judgment cases and analysis of impact investors. The academic contribution is that it empirically investigated the investment priorities and weighting differences of impact investors.

The purpose of this study was to develop a female entrepreneurial competency model. For the purpose, two Focus Group Interviews (FGI) were conducted with seven outstanding female entrepreneurs, and three expert reviews were conducted. In addition, in order to verify the validity of the provisional female entrepreneur competency model derived from the FGI and competency modeling expert review, the female entrepreneur competency model was finally confirmed through a survey of 442 female entrepreneurs. The results were as follows. First, a female entrepreneur competency model consisting of 6 competency groups and 25 competencies of entrepreneurship, emotion, business management, relationship management, strategic management, and multitasking, and 75 behavioral indicators describing each competency was developed. Second, sensibility and multitasking are competencies that reflect the characteristics of female entrepreneurs. In particular, 'social sense', which is the ability to be considerate of others in the emotional competency group and the ability to respond well to subtle nuances, and the multitasking competency group's unique strengths are women's ability to perform various tasks at the same time. The 'work-family control ability' of a female entrepreneur who maintains a balance between 'multi-tasking' and work and family is a representative competency of only female entrepreneurs. Third, the developed female entrepreneurship competency model is meaningful in that it not only increases female entrepreneurial competency so that prospective female entrepreneurs can successfully run a business through entrepreneurship education, but it also makes it easy for existing female entrepreneurs to reflect and improve their competencies. If we provide appropriate training programs to female entrepreneurs based on their competency, it will be possible to effectively enhance the entrepreneurial competency, which is the key to strengthening the competitiveness of female entrepreneurs. The female entrepreneur competency model developed through this study can provide a basis for future research on competency diagnosis and education needs analysis.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relation between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention, and analyze how social support gained through social relations influences on the relation between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. This study outcome is as in the following. First, both general corporate and preliminary social entrepreneur are to examine that entrepreneurial self-efficacy positively influences the entrepreneurial intention. Second, in the case of the social support, it didn't influence on preliminary general corporate. And only feedback support and instrument support are related to influence on preliminary social entrepreneur among social supports. This study shall have a significance in using the result of previous studies that entrepreneurial self-efficacy influences on entrepreneurial intention by looking into moderating effect of social support, classifying general corporate and preliminary social entrepreneur who have the entrepreneurial intention.

This study validate effectiveness of Online Entrepreneurship Education based on PBL(Problem-based Learning) and flipped learning. This study reveals online education of entrepreneurship based on PBL and flipped learning method has positive effect on personal entrepreneurship, will to be an entrepreneur, and problem-solving skills. First, the results show that entrepreneurship education based on PBL and flipped learning can improve entrepreneurship more than a previous learning method. Second, PBL and flipped learning based online education affects will to be an entrepreneur in positive way. Experimental group who experienced problem solving activity and flipped learning has more will to be entrepreneur than control group who takes previous learning method. Lastly, PBL and flipped learning method based entrepreneurship education also has positive effect on personal problem-solving techniques. This results show that online entrepreneurship education based on PBL and flipped learning has positive impacts on entrepreneurship, will to be an entrepreneur, and improving problem-solving skills significantly.

Recently, the potential of advanced studies is being highlighted that the networking activity of entrepreneurs of venture businesses influences successful foundation. Given this background, this study intends to make an exploratory study on the influence of self-efficacy of the entrepreneur's cognitive characteristic and patience with ambiguity of the psychological characteristic upon networking activity, and the components of networking activity upon entrepreneurial performance. It was tested with sample of responses to the questionnaires for 156 entrepreneurs of venture businesses which are under 3 years since they were founded. Findings of this study are as follows: First, the entrepreneur's self-efficacy was shown to have a significant effect on networking and entrepreneurial performance. Second, patience with ambiguity was shown not to have a significant effect on networking and entrepreneurial performance. Third, networking was shown to have an effect on entrepreneurial performance, and among the components of networking activity, network frequency and reliability were shown to significantly influence entrepreneurial performance, while network range was shown not to have a significant effect on it. Therefore, for performance improvement of start-up enterprises, rather self-efficacy of the entrepreneur's cognitive characteristic than the psychological characteristic seems more important. Also, with a practical suggestion that for the networking activity of entrepreneurs of venture businesses, network frequency and reliability may have a more critical effect rather on entrepreneurial performance than network range, the limitation and direction of this study are presented.
The importance of convergence activities among business is increasing due to the necessity of designing and developing new products to satisfy various customers' needs. In particular, decision makers such as CEOs are required to participate in networks between entrepreneurs for being connected with valuable convergence partners. Moreover, it is important for entrepreneurs not only to make a large number of network connections, but also to understand the networking relationship with entrepreneurs with similar topic information. However, there is a difficult limit in collecting the topic information that can show the lack of current status of business and the technology and characteristics of entrepreneur in industry sector. In this paper, we solve these problems through the topic extraction method and analyze the business network in three aspects. Specifically, there are C, S, T-Layer models, and each model analyzes amount of entrepreneurs relationship, network centrality, and topic similarity. As a result of experiments using real data, entrepreneur need to activate network by connecting high centrality entrepreneur when the corporate relationship is low. In addition, we confirmed through experiments that there is a need to activate the topic-based network when topic similarity is low between entrepreneurs.
