정사각단면 $180^{\circ}$ 곡관덕트의 입구영역에서 비정상층류유동의 유동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Unsteady Laminar Flows in Squaresectional $180^{\circ}$ Curved Duct)

  • The flow characteristics of developing unsteady laminar flow in a square-sectional $180^{\circ}$ curved duct are experimentally investigated by using laser doppler velocimerty (LDV) system with data acquisition and processing system of rotating machinery resolver(RMR) and PHASE software. The major flow characteristics of developing laminar pulsating flows are presented by mean velocity profilel velocity distribution of secondary flow, wall shear stress distributions, entrance lengths according to dimensionless angular frequency($\omega^+$), velocity amplitude ratio($A^1$), and time-averaged Dean number($De_ta$). The velocity profiles and wall shear stress distribution of laminar pulsating flow with dimensionlessangular frequency show the flow characteristics of the quasi-steady laminar flow in a curved duct. The developing region of laminar pulsatile flows in a square-sectional $180^{\circ}$ curved duct is extended to the curved duct angle of approximately $120^{\circ}$ under the present experimental condition.

Optical Design of an Off-axis Five-mirror-anastigmatic Telescope for Near Infrared Remote Sensing

  • This paper described an off-axis five-mirror-anastigmatic telescope. It is composed of three aspheric surfaces and one spherical surface while the third mirror and fifth mirror have the same parameters at the same place. This configuration is useful for having wide field of view. The strip full field of view for the near infrared telescope is $20^{\circ}{\times}0.2^{\circ}$. The entrance pupil is located in front of the first mirror. There is an intermediate image between the second mirror and the third mirror. The entrance pupil diameter is 100 mm and the effective focal length is 250 mm. The spectral range is $0.85-1.75{\mu}m$. The pixel pitch is $15{\mu}m$. The image quality is near the diffraction limit. Some methods were used to restrain the stray light such as a field stop near the intermediate image, the baffle, the narrow-band pass filter and a stop in front of the focal plane.

협소터널 고속 주행시 압력변동 및 미기압파 저감을 위한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Study of Reduction of Pressure variation and Micro-Pressure Wave for high-speed train in narrow tunnel)

  • When a train passes a conventional tunnel at high speed, an environmental noise issue arises by pressure variation and micro-pressure waves at the exit of the tunnel. It is known that this issue can be reduced by using dummy tunnel duct on the tunnel entrance. We studied the variances of micro-pressure waves at the exit of tunnel and pressure variation within the tunnel, by altering surface area and length of the dummy tunnel duct. For analyze this train-tunnel relation problem, axi-simmetric steady compressible flow solver was used. Changing the length of the dummy tunnel duct can adjust pressure variation, changing the surface area of the dummy tunnel duct can adjust volume and pressure variation of the micro-pressure wave. Thus, optimized surface area and length of the dummy tunnel duct can simultaneously reduce environmental noise pollution by micro-pressure wave and issues by the pressure variation.

구면수차를 이용한 정밀모형안의 최적화 (Optimum design of the finite schematic eye using spherical aberration)

  • 구면수차와 Stiles-Crawford 효과를 기준으로 4개의 굴절비구면을 가지는 모형안을 최적화 기법으로 설계하였다. 구속조건으로는 측정된 안구의 곡률반경 , 중심두께, 비구면도, 구면수차를 사용하였다. 또한 동공에서의 Stiles-Crawford 효과를 고려하여 최적화하였다 최적화의 결과로 얻은 모형안의 근축영역값들은 유효초점거리 20.8169mm, 상측정점초점거리 15.4820mm, 물측정점초점거리 -13.8528mm, 상거리 15.7150mm이다. 본 논문의 모형안은 한국인 정시 75안을 대상으로 측정되어진 자료를 바탕으로 국내에서 처음으로 제작된 정밀모형안이다.

오리피스 내부유동에 따른 like-doublet 인젝터의 분열 특성 (The Effects of Orifice Internal Flow on the Breakup Characteristics of Liquid Sheets Formed by Like-Doublet Injectors)

  • The breakup characteristics of liquid sheets formed by like-doublet injector were investigated in the cold-flow and atmospheric ambient pressure condition. The sheet breakup wavelength, which induces the sheet to be broken into ligaments, as well as the sheet breakup length, which is important for the flame location, was measured using a stroboscopic light. The liquid ligaments are formed intermittently after the breakup of sheet, and the wavelength of ligaments has been believed to have a relation to the combustion instability of liquid rocket engine. Therefore, the wavelength of ligaments and the breakup length of ligaments into fine drops were also measured. Since these spray characteristics are affected by the flow characteristics of two liquid jets before they impinge on each other, we focused on the effects of orifice internal flow such as the cavitation phenomenon that occurs inside the sharp-edged orifice. From the experimental results, we found that the liquid jet turbulence delays the sheet breakup and makes shorter wavelengths for both sheets and ligaments. Since the turbulent strength of sharp-edged orifice is stronger than that of round-edged orifice, the shape of orifice entrance results in large differences in the spray characteristics. Using these results, we proposed empirical models on the spray characteristics of the like-doublet injector, and these models are believed to provide some useful and actual data for designing liquid rocket combustors.

진해만 입구에 방류한 대구(Gadus macrocephalus)의 행동 분석 (Behavioral analysis of Pacific cod (Gadus macrocephalus) released to the entrance of Jinhae Bay, Korea)

  • In order to investigate the behavioral characteristics of Pacific cod (Gadus macrocephalus) released at the entrance of Jinhae Bay, Korea, the direction and range of movement, swimming speed of the fish were measured with an acoustic telemetry techniques in winter, 2015. Three wild Pacific codes WC1 to WC3 (total length 66.0, 75.0, 76.0 cm; body weight 2.84, 2.79, 3.47 kg, respectively) were tagged with the acoustic transmitter. WC1 tagged with an acoustic transmitter internally by surgical method, WC2 and WC3, externally with the acoustic data logger and a micro data logger for recording audible sound waves including timer release unit. The movement routes of the tagged fish were measured more than five hours using VR100 receiver and a directional hydrophone. The directionality of the fish movement was tested by Rayleigh's z-Test, the statistical analysis, and a statistical program SPSS. Three tagged fishes were individually released on the sea surface around the entrance to the Jinhae Bay on 10 to 24 January 2015. WC1 moved about 13.32 km with average swimming speed of 0.63 m/s for six hours. The average swimming depth and water depth of the seabed on the route of WC1 were 7.2 and 32.9 m, respectively. The movement range of WC2 and WC3 were 7.95 and 11.06 km, approximately, with average swimming speed of 0.44 and 0.58 m/s for 5.1 and 5.3 hours, respectively. The average swimming depth of WC2 and WC3 were 18.7 and 5.0 m, and the water depth on the route, 34.4 and 29.8 m, respectively. Three fishes WC1 to WC3 were shown significant directionality in the movement (p < 0.05). Movement mean angles of WC1 to WC3 were 77.7, 76.3 and $88.1^{\circ}$, respectively. There was no significant correlation between the movement direction of fish (WC1 and WC2) and the tidal currents during the experimental period (p >= 0.05). Consequently, three tagged fishes were commonly moved toward outside of the entrance and headed for eastward of the Korean Peninsula, approximately, after release. It may estimate positively that the tidal current speed may affect to the swimming speed of the Pacific cod during the spring tide than the neap tide.

  • 서울시에서 실시간 신호제어를 위해 개발하였던 COSMOS 시스템은 도로의 교통상황을 판단하여 신호운영을 시행하도록 설계되었다. 하지만 COSMOS 시스템에서 사용하고 있는 정지선 검지기나 대기길이 검지기의 경우 도로의 과포화상황을 정확하게 판단하지 못해 신호운영의 효율성이 떨어지는 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존의 정지선 검지기, 대기길이 검지기 체계에서 벗어나 서울시 법인택시 GPS 데이터를 가공하여 통행속도를 산출하였으며 또한 본 연구와 같이 진행한 "GPS 데이터를 이용한 대기행렬 길이 산출에 관한 연구"에서 산출한 대기행렬 길이를 기반으로 도로의 혼잡상황 판단 알고리즘을 수립하였다. 이를 도로의 혼잡상황이 지속적으로 나타나는 국기원 입구 ${\rightarrow}$ 강남역 사거리, 역삼역 사거리 ${\rightarrow}$ 국기원 입구로 구성된 실제 네트워크에 적용하여 실제 교통상황을 반영하고 있는지를 확인해 보았다.

비정상 압축파와 비정상 팽창파의 간섭에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical study on the interaction between unsteady compression and unsteady expansion wave)

  • A new control method to alleviate the impulsive noise at the exit of high-speed railway tunnel was applied to the compression wave at the entrance of the tunnel. This method uses the interaction phenomenon of unsteady expansion wave and unsteady compression wave. Unsteady expansion wave was assumed to be made instantaneously by the simple theory of shock tube. Total Variation Diminishing method was employed to solve the axisymmetric unsteady compressible flow field with a specified compression wave. Numerical results show that the maximum pressure gradient of the propagating compression wave decreases with increase of the wave length of the unsteady expansion wave. It is found that the impulsive noise reduction can be obtained when the unsteady expansion wave with a large wave length is emitted just before the train enters the tunnel. The present results give the possibility to reduce the impulsive noise at the exit of tunnel.

CFD를 통한 고효율 히트펌프 개발을 위한 실험장치 (Experimental equipment for high efficiency heat pump development by CFD)

  • 에너지를 절감하기 위해 고효율 히트펌프를 개발하기 위한 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있으며, 실외기 코일에 발생하는 서리가 발생하는 현상을 줄이거나 없애기 위한 연구도 동시에 이루어지고 있다. 계절에 관계없이 히트펌프의 실외기에 서리가 발생하지 않는 연구를 진행할 수 있도록 자연상태와 동일한 조건에서 실험할 수 있는 항온챔버를 구축하였다. 실험장치의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 실험장치인 항온챔버 내의 실외기 앞 덕트의 직선 길이를 3가지 조건으로 나누어 시뮬레이션 하였다. 그 결과 덕트 관경의 10배 길이만큼 직선 공간을 확보해야 한다는 것을 알게 되었다.

  • By the experiment of a model Ondol heating system gas flow characteristics in a briquette flue tube was investigated. As a heat source electric heater was used, which renders steady flow condition of air. working fluid. It was observed that the flow augumentation may be obtained by increasing the vertial elevation of the flue tube, namely increase in the tube length or increase in the tube inclination, and the gas temperature at the tube entrance Among several factors which augument the flow rate slope of the flue tube has the most striking effect and then the temperature of gas entering the tube. Increase in length of the tube also auguments the flow but the rate of augumentation is so small that it gives little assistance to improvement of the flow The flow in a briguette flue gas does not essentially satisfy the one dimensional steady flow assumption. It is also observed that the flow begins to accompany irregular velocity fluctuation as inclination of the tube increases.
