스프링 프레임워크 환경에서 스프링 데이터 JPA기반의 엔터프라이즈 시스템 플랫폼의 설계 (Design of Enterprise System Platform based on Spring Data JPA in Spring Framework Environment)

  • 엔터프라이즈 환경의 표준화 경쟁은 백엔드의 데이터 티어로 시작하여 대표적인 엔터프라이즈 미들 티어가 스프링 프레임워크로 받아들여짐으로써 표준화로 안정화되고 있는 실정이다. 또한 점차 빠른 주기로 새로운 디바이스의 출현으로 웹과 모바일 서비스에 대한 호환성 확보가 웹 서비스 기업들의 중요한 경쟁력이 되고 있다. 그러나 국내 기업들은 이러한 정보화 시대의 격변한 환경 변화에 적절한 역량있는 기술 인력을 확보하지 못하고 있으며, 교육중심 대학들의 교육과정에서도 새로운 역량중심의 교육과정의 요구를 반영하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 엔터프라이즈 시스템 플랫폼 환경에서 필요한 역량중심의 기술을 습득과 교육과정을 개발하기 위하여 스프링 프레임워크 환경에서 스프링 데이터 JPA를 활용한 시스템을 분석 및 설계 단계별로 문서화 작성을 통하여 구현하였다. 향후 엔터프라이즈 환경에서의 바로 적용할 수 있는 풀 스택 역량중심의 교육과정 및 캡스톤 디자인 교육과정의 참조 모델을 제공하고자 한다.

비판적 사고를 활용한 공학 설계 교육 (Engineering design education utilizing critical thinking)

  • ABEEK's professional liberal arts education reflecting critical thinking, has been well received by professors and students in the engineering discipline. Also, the demand for further utilization of critical thinking within the engineering curriculum is increasing. To meet such demand, there is a need for experts in the area of critical thinking education and engineering education to come together and search for the most effective method in using critical thinking in engineering design education courses. In this paper, we were able to confirm, through specific application cases, that the problem-solving process of critical thinking can be effectively transferred to an engineering design process, and the elements and criteria of critical thinking can be used as a successful design tool. Also, we explore the possibility of further improving engineering education on the basis of critical thinking.

학제간 팀별 설계프로젝트 기반 산학공동 공학설계교육 (Industry Joint Engineering Education Via Interdisciplinary Team-based Product Development Project)

  • The paper addresses an issue of industry-joint engineering education paradigm with the purpose of setting a new standard for engineering education by development and support of competitive curriculum for the interdisciplinary team-based product development, a specialized and innovative engineering education program. In the department of MSDE (Mechanical and System Design Engineering), students are educated via three major courses for targeting engineering design, Creative Engineering Design (freshman), Design Process (Senior), and Creative Product Development (Junior). All these courses are based on personal tool exercises for design software and hardware and team-project group activities of the students with other team members. This paper will briefly discuss the main focuses of these courses and case studies of the teaching results targeting the development of telecommunication device.

공학계열 졸업생의 직무역량에 관한 인식 연구 (A Study on the Perception about the Job Competency of Engineering graduates)

  • This study was implemented for the purpose of analyzing the Job Competency level of accredited and non-accredited program's graduates. And we were seeking way to manage realistic and effective way of Accreditation of Engineering education. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, survey and FGI were done. The study was: accredited program's graduates thought more positively than non-accredited program's graduates, and graduates felt that 11 Job Competencies Level of Work Performance were lower than the needs of job performance. The conclusions of this study were summarized as follows: First, between accredited and non-accredited program's graduates, we could see significant recognition difference about the perception of the needs of job performance. This was because Design curriculum were reinforced and accredited program's graduates had attended design program at accredited program. Second, accredited program's graduates felt higher than non-accredited program's graduates about the perception of level of work performance. This was because the efforts for curriculum reorganizing and teaching methods improvement were done. Third, we could not find significant recognition difference about the perception of the needs for job performance and work level. That was because accredited and non-accredited program were not dealed seperately. The conclusions of this study are summarized as follows: First, The efforts for analyzing job competence of industry and reflecting the program curriculum are needed on the accredited program for engineering education. Second, Government should make the incentive policy about the companies which give some merits to the accreditation graduates, and monitor constantly their real working. Third, in order that the accreditation results can be trustful on staff recruiting or school choosing, accreditation should make outcome-based-evaluation which guarantees competence of graduates.

Capstone Design Projects based on Invention Education

  • This paper deals with the introduction of capstone design projects based on invention education in Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Korea Maritime University. This course is referred to as Creative Engineering Design for spring semester of 4th-year undergraduates. The course focuses on creative thinking and cooperative mind to students by learning engineering design skills, realizing their idea through design project and recognizing practicality of their systems. To improve creative thinking of students, intellectual property (IP) education is very helpful. If engineering students take training program in IP, it will be very beneficial for CEOs to manage intellectual capital in many industries and to ensure competition power in their business. This study suggested that students take interest in connecting their ideas with inventions through invention education reinforcing an invention and a patent exercise. It is expected that this study may help to develop new curriculum of capstone design project including IP education in many universities.

텍스트 마이닝을 활용한 캡스톤 디자인에 관한 학생 인식 탐색: 산업경영공학 사례 (A Text Mining Analysis on Students' Perceptions about Capstone Design: Case of Industrial & Management Engineering)

  • Capstone Design, a project-based learning technique, is the most important curriculum that clarifying major knowledge and cultivating the ability to apply through the process of solving problems in the industrial field centered on the student project team. Accordingly, various and extensive studies are being conducted for the successful implementation of capstone design courses. Unlike previous studies, this study aimed to quantitatively analyze the opinions that recorded the experiences and feelings of students who performed capstone design, and used text mining methodologies such as frequency analysis, correlation analysis, topic modeling, and sentiment analysis. As a result of examining the overall opinions of the latter period through frequency analysis and correlation analysis, there was a difference between the languages used by the students in the opinions according to gender and project results. Through topic modeling analysis, 'topic selection' and 'the relationship between team members' showed an increase in occupancy or high occupancy, and topics such as 'presentation', 'leadership', and 'feeling what they felt' showed a tendency to decreasing occupancy. Lastly, sentiment analysis has found that female students showed more neutral emotions than male students, and the passed group showed more negative emotions than the non-passed group and less neutral emotions. Based on these findings, students' practical recognition of the curriculum was considered and implications for the improvement of capstone design were presented.

공학설계교육에서 학습과 학습전이간의 관계성 연구 (A Study of the Relation between Learning Outcomes and Learning Transfer in Engineering Design Programs)

  • 최근의 공학설계교육의 발달은 공학교육에 많은 영향을 주고 있다. 그러나 이와 관련한 대부분의 연구는 시스템개발이나 과정개발과 관련된 분야에 집중되어 있어, 학습 효과와 학습결과 학습자들이 프로젝트를 수행하는 과정에 얼마나 학습전이가 이루어 졌는지에 대한 연구는 전무하다. 본 연구는 대학의 공학설계교육의 결과로 발생하는 학습의 정도와 학습전이간의 관계를 규명하려는데 있다. 본래 학습전이는 기업교육을 통하여 학습자들이 획득한 지식과 기술을 직무 상황에서 효과적으로 또는 지속적으로 자신의 현 직무에 적용하는 정도를 말한다. 연구결과 학습자 특성과 교육과정설계 특성은 학습에 유의미한 결과를 나타냈으며, 학습자 특성에 따른 전이효과 역시 유효한 결과를 가져왔으며, 학습이 전이에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Re-engineering Adult Education Programme-an Online Learning Curricular Perspective

  • The Web based multimedia programmes/courses are becoming widely available in recent years. Most of these courses focus on Behaviorist way of learning, which does not promote deep learning in any way. For Adults this approach further incapacitated, as it does not satisfy Andragogical needs. The search for Constructivist way of learning through the web applied to Indian conditions led to need for developing a curriculum development approach that would promote construction of knowledge through web based collaboration. This paper attempts to reengineer existing curriculum development processes and lays out a framework of‘Problem Based Online Learning (PBOL)’curriculum design. In this context, entire curriculum development life cycle is evolved and explained. This is a part of doctoral work (Ph.D), which is in progress and being undertaken by K.James Mathai, and guided of Dr.D.S.Karaulia.

산업체 수요중심 커리큘럼을 위한 메타모델 설계 기법 (Meta-Model Design Technique for Industrial Demand-Driven Curriculum)

  • The cooperation between universities and IT industry in producing IT manpower of quality is urgently called for to create the effective labor pool of supply and finally balance its supply and demand. Korean Government launched a program where industrial demand-driven curriculums are developed and applied to universities. This paper proposes a design technique of meta-modeling demand-driven curriculums and courses, based on the 3D software space and the software development process. This technique is proven to result in extensibility, flexibility and quality improvement in software design. Therefore, we expect that the proposed technique makes curriculums and courses possible to be continuously improved in many aspects.

융합 인재 교육 경험을 가진 중등 과학 교사들의 공학적 설계에 대한 인식 탐색 (Exploring the Perception of Integrated STEAM Secondary Teachers on Engineering Design)

  • 본 연구는 융합 인재 교육 경험을 오랫동안 해 온 교사들의 공학적 설계에 대한 인식을 탐색한 것이다. 본 연구에 참여한 교사들은 융합 인재 교육 경험을 5년 이상 해 온 초·중등 교사 12명으로 진행하였으며, 반구조화된 인터뷰를 통해서 진행되었으며, 면담은 1~2회에 걸쳐 60~90분 정도로 진행되었다. 면담 질문은 융합 인재 교육 경험과 공학적 설계에 대한 인식, 공학적 설계의 교육과정 반영 여부, 공학적 설계를 도입한 융합 인재 교육의 실제사례 등을 중심으로 진행하였다. 본 연구의 결과로는 과학, 기술, 공학에 대한 개념의 동일시 그리고 혼재, 공학적 설계는 창의적 설계를 위해 필요한 요소들의 적절한 조합, 공학적 설계는 창의적 설계에 유용성과 경제성을 추구했을 때 가능, 공학적 설계는 이공계 진로를 선택한 학생들만을 위한 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 본 연구를 토대로 과학, 기술, 공학에 대한 올바른 개념을 정립하여 제시하고 과학적 문제 해결을 위한 공학적 설계에 대한 내용을 교육과정에 포함시키는 노력이 필요하다. 또한, 공학적 설계가 포함된 융합 인재 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 확산하여 현장에 적용해야 할 것이다. 이를 통해 교사와 예비 교사들의 과학, 공학 융합 프로그램과 공학적 설계에 대한 인식을 개선시킬 수 있는 구체적인 실행 방안을 모색해야 할 것이다.
