A Sensorless Switched Reluctance Drive System Based on the Improved Simplified Flux Method

  • This paper describes a new rotor position sensorless control method for SRM drives based on an improved simplified flux linkage method. In the traditional simplified flux linkage method, every phases take turns conduction and current chopping control method is used. Every phases take turns conduction means turning on the incoming working phase while turning off the working phase. This conduction mode causes coupling between turn-on and turn-off angles, which goes against optimal efficiency or torque ripple minimization with sensorless speed control. In the improved simplified flux linkage method, turn-off angle is calculated by flux loop, the turn-on angle can be given arbitrarily and has no relations with the turn-off angle, and the current chopping control method is used. The speed and rotor position can be estimated then. Finally, a sensorless SRM speed control system and an experiment platform with DSP are built and validity of this method is confirmed.

  • The EV electric vehicle market is growing rapidly worldwide. An electric vehicle means a vehicle that uses energy charged through an electricity source as power. The precision of the press is important to mass-produce the drive motor, which is a key component of the electric vehicle. The size of the driving motor is increasing, and The size of the mold is also growing. In this study, the precision of large high-speed presses for mass production of driving motors was measured. A study was conducted on the measurement method of press and the analysis of measurement data. A drive motor is a component that transmits power by converting electrical energy into kinetic energy. EV driven motors have key material properties to improve efficiency. The material properties are the thickness of the material. As a method for improving performance, use a 0.2mm thin steel sheet. Mold is also becoming larger. As the mold grows, the size of the high-speed press for mass production of the driving motor is also increasing. Also, the precision of the press is the most important because it uses a thin iron plate material. So the importance of large press precision is being emphasized.   • This paper is suggested an optimal switching angle of a switched reluctance motor drive system for maximum energy ratio. A new magnetizing method with a low-frequency increasing the energy conversion ratio that is related to the efficiency of motor is proposed As results, it improves the efficiency about 2[$\%$]. And a torque ripple is also reduced compared with that of the conventional switching angle magnetizing approach. In order to start softly regardless of a large ripple torque, the profile of phase current is predicted and current control mode was adapted when it is operated under the starting speed.

  • 유도전동기는 단일기기로서 가장 많은 전력을 사용하고 있는 부하로서, 우리나라의 전력사용량 중 약 40%를 소비하고 있다. 따라서 유도전동기의 고효율화는 시급한 국가적 과제이다. 본 논문에서는 고효율유도 전동기의 보급에 있어서 가장 큰 장애요인인 초기구입비 상승에 따른 구매기피를 극복하기 위한 여러 방안 중 가장 효과적인 방법으로 알려진 고효율유도전동기 리베이트제도의 시행방안을 수립하고 이의 경제성을 평가한다. 그리고 리베이트제도로 전환된 고효율유도전동기의 시장을 유지하기 위한 강제규정으로서 최저효율제와의 연계방안을 수립한다.

  • New non-hybrid approaches to improve energy efficiency of construction machineries are reviewed in this paper. Hydraulic systems are classified into four classes according to Backe's classification and commercially promising new technologies are carefully chosen in each class. IMV, 3-Line CPR, Closed Circuit Displacement Control of Differential Cylinder, and Throttle-less Secondary Control are chosen as representative non-hybrid new technologies. Key principle of each technology is explained and representative references which run through each technology are selected. Advantages and weaknesses of each technology are discussed and compared from the view point of construction machinery manufacturers.

  • 본 논문에서는 전류시 유도전동기의 누설 인덕턴스 및 직류 링크 인덕터에서 발생하는 손실과 스너버 회로에서 발생하는 손실을 효과적으로 전원 및 부하로 회생하는 새로운 VCC-3를 제안하였으며, VCC-1, VCC-2 및 VCC-3를 3상 유도전동기에 적용하여 부하의 입·출력 특성과 궤환량 등을 측정, 비교·검토한 결과, VCC-3 방식의 GTO CSI가 효율개선 및 안전성 면에서 우수하다는 것을 입증하였다.

연료물성에 따른 경유 차량의 성능 및 에너지소비효율 연구 (A Study on The Performance and Fuel Economy of Diesel Vehicles According to Change in Fuel Properties)

  • 점차 강화되는 배출가스 규제와 적은 연료로 많은 거리를 주행할 수 있는 고효율 자동차에 대한 요구로 에너지소비효율에 대한 관심이 점차 늘어나고 있다. 국내의 에너지소비효율은 도심주행모드와 고속도로 모드를 주행하여 복합연비로 산정하고 5-Cycle 보정식을 이용하여 최종 에너지소비효율을 표시하고 있다. 에너지소비효율의 경우 카본발란스법에 의하여 산출되는데 이때 배출가스에 의해 계산이 됨에 따라 연소에 사용되는 연료는 자동차 성능과 에너지소비효율에 매우 중요한 역할을 하게 된다. 자동차 연료의 경우 국내에서는 석유 및 석유대체연료 사업법 품질기준에 따라 국내에 유통되고 있는데 정유사의 정제 방법이나 원유에 따라 품질 기준 내에서 물성 차이를 보일 수 있다. 일정 품질기준을 정하고 있음에 따라 연료별 큰 차이는 나지 않을 것으로 보이나 자동차의 성능에는 영향을 미칠 수 있어 그에 따른 연구가 필요한 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 시중에서 유통되고 있는 연료 중 여름철에 판매되는 경유를 정유사 직영점을 통해 구매하였으며, 각 시료별 물성을 분석하고 그에 따른 에너지소비효율을 측정하였다. 에너지소 비효율의 경우 현행 경유 자동차의 에너지소비효율 산정식과 휘발유 에너지소비효율에서 사용되는 산출식을 이용하여 물성 적용에 따른 변화를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 시료별 밀도는 최대 약 0.9%의 차이를 보였으며, 순발열량은 1.6%의 차이를 보였으며, 현행 에너지소비효율 산출 결과에서는 도심모드에서 약 1%, 고속모드에서 1.4% 차이를 보였다. 휘발유 산출식을 이용한 산출에서는 현행 에너지소비효율 산출때 보다 약 6%정도 낮은 수치를 보였으며, 각 시료별 에너지소비효율은 최대 도심과 고속에서 최대 약 1.4%의 차이를 보였다.

  • With ever rising concerns about saving of fossil fuel resource, there have been an increasing demand for use of energy more efficiently. The electric motor driven inverters can be a great help to improve energy efficiency. They are also used to control the motor speed to the actual need. Therefore the use of them can lead to reduce energy consumption. In particular, the medium voltage(MV) drive systems used for pumps, fans, steel rolling mills and tractions have widespread applications in the industry. They cover power ratings from 0.4MW to 40MW at the MV level of 2.3kV to 13.8kV. The majority of the installed MV drive systems however, are in the 1MW to 4MW range with voltage rating from 3.3kV to 6.6kV. But they are required to reduce size and weight like other power electronic equipments. In this paper, we studied on the 3.3kV(105A) compact rack type inverter system for improving the cooling efficiency. At first, we confirmed the tendency of temperature with computational simulation using ANSYS ICEPAK and actual experimental tests. And then we researched thermal performance improvement designs in order to reduce temperature of the transformer for the safe operation. It can reduce temperature of transformer that using pipe type flow guide in the system. As a result, we found out more efficient solution by thermal-fluid analysis.

다수의 가동물체형 파력발전기에 있어서의 2차측 제어 정유압변속기 응용 (Application of Secondary Control Hydrostatic Transmission in A Multi-Point Absorbing Wave Energy Converter)

  • This paper presents a novel concept of wave energy converter for electric generation from the ocean wave energy. In this paper, a Multi-Point Absorbing Wave Energy Converter, shortened as MPAWEC by using Secondary Control Hydrostatic Transmission (SCHST) was proposed. The power take-off (PTO) system in the proposed MPAWEC includes multi heaving buoys to drive hydraulic pumps placed at different points. The application of SCHST in MPAWEC gives some advantages, such as longevity of hydraulic components; more energy is harvested; the variation of the pressure in the accumulator limited; therefore the accumulator volume is reduced and the output speed is more stable, etc. A PID controller was designed for speed control of the hydraulic motor. The simulation results indicated that the speed of the generator was ensured with the relative error as 0.67%; the efficiency of the proposed system was 71.4%.
