This study Is on the experimental explanation of Intonation of news sentences with focus on the Korean noun phrase, pronounced by announcers. For this, with a basic form as $'{\_}case particle\;+\;{\_}adnominal ending\;+\;Noun'$ which is a common structure in these sentences, we classified NPs according to the added constituents and examined their intonation. And with examining the connection or the breaking of intonation patterns, we described the relation between neighbouring words which build 'a rhythmic unit'.

본 연구는 지문인식을 위한 성합 알고리즘에 관한 것으로 지문 영상이 갖는 특징점에서 4개의 단점과 분기점의 위치와 방향정보를 이용하였으며, 입력 지문과 참조 지문의 특징점 일치수, 이동량, 위치 정합량을 정의하고 위치성합량차를 산출하여 동일 지문을 판정하였다.

We report a case of primary cardiac fibroma which is a rare cardiac neoplasm and arising most frequently from right ventricular free wall and interventricular septum. A 2-month-old male infant with cyanosis was admitted for evaluation and treatment. Echocar-diographic lEnding was a cardiac mass. Successful nearly total removal of the tumor was performed. The pathologic result was compatible with fibroma. The postoperative course was not eventful, and have been in good condition upto now.

The sentence-final rising tones of interrogatives in Seoul dialect are contrastive at lesat in two groups. One is H-type which ends in a lower pitch, the other HH-type ending in a higher one. But they are different in terms of inclinational value, also. And the latter is more adequate criterion than the former which would be available in an ideal condition.

Jehovah`s Witnesses who require cardiac operations represent a challenge to surgeon because of the patients` refusal to accept blood transfusion, We report a 6 year period, ending May, 1991 with a consecutive series of 25 Jehovah`s witnesses. Patients ranged in age from 11 months to 61 years. All operations were performed during cardiopulmonary bypass with bloodless priming, No patient received any blood or blood products during hospitalization. Perioperative mortality was 2 paients[8%]. We conclude that if we performed the cardiac surgery with careful operative technique and various blood conserving procedures, we can do the bloodless open heart surgery with relatively safety.

A ura5 gene encoding Orotate Phosphoribosyl Transferase (OPRTase) of Metarhizium anisopliae was cloned by PCR methods and sequenced. The sequenced ura 5 gene encodes a polypeptide of 234 amino acid residues. This deduced amino acid sequence showed high similarity to other fungi OPRTase and there was no intron sequence between ATG starting codon and TGA ending codon.

이 연구는 코엔 형제 영화의 열린 결말이 작품의 주제와 어떻게 연관되는지, 그리고 그러한 열린 방식으로 내러티브를 종결시킬 수 있게 하는 서사 논리가 무엇인지 논의한다. <바톤 핑크>(1991), <노인을 위한 나라는 없다>(2007), <시리어스 맨>(2009) 등 코엔 형제의 열린 결말 영화들은 모두 '불확실성'에 관한 영화이다. 이 불확실성은 부조리하고 아이러니컬한 세상의 불가해성과 그것에 대한 캐릭터의 이해 불능으로 나타난다. 코엔 형제의 영화들은 바로 이러한 세계의 불가해성에 대한 논증의 내러티브이며, 이들의 열린 결말은 플롯과 논증의 중층 구조에서 스토리 문제의 해결이 아니라 논증의 완결을 추구한 결과이다.

본 논문에서는 단점과 분기점을 이용한 세선화 영상 복원에 관하여 연구하였다. 이진 지문영상으로부터 평활화, 이진화, 세선화 과정을 거쳐서 세선화 영상을 얻는다. 세선화 영상으로부터 특징점을 추출하는 방법에는 교차수를 이용한 방법이 있다. 그러나 교차수를 이용한 방법에서는 많은 의사 특징점들이 추출된다. 의사특징점으로는 단선, 절선, 잔가지, 원형 등이 있으며, 단점과 분기점을 이용하여 의사특징점을 제거함으로써 세선화 영상을 복원하였다.

This study is to classify intonation types of sentence terminal in accordance with sentence form in Korean dialects. Intonation types of sentence terminal in declarative, interrogative (yes-no and wh-sentence), imperative, suggestive of Gyeongnam dialect are low fall, high fall, high fall, low fall, so are not distinctive by intonation, but distinctive by final ending morphemes. But those of Jungbu dialect are low fall, rise-fall and full rise, high level, low rise-fall. Those of Jeonnam dialect are low level, rise-fall and full rise, high level, high level. So those of Jungbu dialect are similar to Jeonnam dialect.
