고상-액상 전이형 에멀젼의 레올로지 거동 (The Rheological Behaviors of Solid-Liquid Transfer Emulsion)

  • 본 연구는 고형상 에멀젼의 표면에서 일어나는 물리적 특성을 레올로지를 이용해 관찰해 보았다. 고형상 에멀젼이 전단변형에 따라 고상에서 액상으로의 전이시 전단속도가 큰 고형상 에멀젼의 경우 낮은 전단변형과 높은 전단변형에서 두 번의 전이구간을 보여주는 반면에 전단속도가 작은 고형상 에멀젼의 경우 높은 전단변형에서 전이구간이 한 번만 나타내는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 이는 고형상 에멀젼의 전단변형에 따른 표면의 물리적 특성이 중요한 요소로서 고형상 에멀젼의 구성요소에 따라 변화하게 된다. 유상과 수상으로 구성되어진 고형상 에멀젼에서 수상의 함량이 증가하게 되면 표면전이(surface transition) 구간이 점점줄어들다가 사라지는 것을 볼 수 있었으며, 유상과 분체로 구성되어진 고형상 에멀젼에서는 분체의 함량이 증가함에 따라 표면전이 구간이 점점 증가하는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 그리고 유상, 수상 그리고 분체로 이루어진 고형상 에멀젼에서는 분체의 함량이 증가함에 따라 표면전이 구간이 점점 줄어들다가 사라지는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

저농도의 HPC 영역에서 에멀젼법에 의해 제조된 구형 알루미나 분말의 입자 크기 변화 (Change of Particle Size of Spherical Alumina Powders Prepared by Emulsion Method in the Region of Low Hydroxypropylcellulose Concentration)

  • Spherical alumina gel powders were produced by hydrolysis of aluminum sec-butoxide (Al(sec-OC4H9)3) in a n-octanol/acetonitrile mixed solvent. The enlargement of particle size was induced by increasing HPC (hydroypropylcellulose) concentration (0.005, 0.1, and 0.05 g/ι) and emulsion-state aging time (10 min and 360 min). Mean particle sizes of dried alumina gel powders increased from 1.4 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ to 3.5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ at 10-min emulsion-state aging time and from 1.9${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ to 4.1${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ at 360-min emulsion-state aging time as HPC concentration increased from 0.005 g/ι to 0.05 g/ι. At the same HPC concentration, particle size of dried alumina gel powder increased with increasing of emulsion-state aging time from 10 min to 360 min. The increase in the average particle size of dried alumina gel powder with increase in HPC concentration was interpreted as the enlargement of particles from alkoxide emulsions unprotected by HPC. The produced dried gel powder calcined at 115$0^{\circ}C$ for one hour transformed to $\alpha$-alumina.

  • This study was carried out in order to manufacture the high quality coated paper. High quality coated paper includes not only present state but also the state of the future. So in this study, acrylic-styrene emulsion which polymerized in laboratory was compared with SB(Styrene-butadiene) latex during thermal aging. The coated paper with three different formulations which controlled the dosage of acrylic-styrene emulsion were prepared. The coated paper were thermally aged at $105^{\circ}C$ for 18days and the optical properties were measured. Brightness, whiteness and CIE L value were higher during thermal aging with increasing amount of acrylic-styrene emulsion. CIE $a^*$ value was higher and CIE $b^*$ value decreased with increasing amount of acrylic-styrene emulsion. These results indicate that high quality coated paper which has anti -thermal aging property can be manufactured with acrylic-styrene emulsion.

  • In this paper, it was studied about the red-sensitive layer. UV-Vis data of the dye at monomeric and J-state were considered with respect to their performance(contrast, speed, density and fog) in photographic emulsion. The sensitizing effect of the dye is found to be strongly structure-dependent. Naphthctbiazolo carbocyanine dye can be used as red sensitizing dye for the spectral sensitization of photographic emulsion.

에멀젼 폭약의 수직 장공 장약 시 낙하 충격에 의한 성능 영향 (The Effect of Performance on Loading Impact of Emulsion Explosive in Long Vertical Borehole)

  • 수직으로 12m 천공된 노천발파 현장에서 본당 1kg의 에멀젼 폭약을 자유낙하 하여 장약하면 117.6J의 낙하충격 에너지가 발생한다. 에멀젼이 강한 외부의 충격을 받으면 과포화 상태로 불연속상을 형성하고 있는 산화제 수용액 입자가 서로 뭉쳐서 결정으로 석출되고, 예감제의 일부가 파괴되어 비중이 상승된다. 산화제 수용액이 석출되어 에멀젼이 파괴되거나, 에멀젼 폭약의 비중이 높아지면 폭속 및 기폭감도가 저하된다. 본 연구에서는 직경 75mm, 길이 12m의 PVC 파이프를 수직과 $70^{\circ}$ 각도로 세우고, 약경 50mm 에멀젼 폭약을 낙하하여 충격에 의한 성능 변화를 평가하였는데 폭굉 에너지는 최대 26%까지 감소하나 전체 발파공에서 발파효율에 미치는 영향은 3% 이내인 것으로 조사되었다.

  • 전분을 매트릭스 고분자로 하여 아크릴 단량체를 유화중합 방법으로 그래프트 중합하였다. 에멀젼의 점도와 입자경은 전분 함량이 증가함에 따라 전분의 히드록시기가 물과 상호작용하고 고분자 입자가 분산매인 물 쪽으로 팽윤함으로 인해 증가하였다. 에멀젼의 화학적 안정성은 전분 함량이 증가할수록 양호하였으나 내수성과 내알칼리성은 전분 함량이 증가할수록 친수성이 증가하면서 감소하였다. 탄산칼슘을 포함한 전분-아크릴 에멀젼 배합물의 불투명도는 전분의 함광이 증가함에 따라 전분 고유의 색깔에 의해 감소하였고 도막의 상태는 전분의 함량이 증가함에 따라 도막의 무정형 상태가 증가하면서 균열이 없는 매끈한 외관을 나타내었다.

  • In manufacturing emulsion lipstick in the past, heat and emulsifyoil phase made with oil, wax and lipophilic emulsifier with water phase together; and then mold above-mentioned materials, so-called lipophilic emulsified lipstick production method has been used. However it is hard to manufacture products using the above said method and furthermore, weak in moisturizing effect, lip care and stability. In this paper, I will discuss about multi-emulsion lipstick complementing already existing emulsion lipstick in terms of stability, giving moisturing effect of lip, and outstanding protection effectiveness of skin by safely gelatinating the state between amphiphilic lipid and water in stable.

유제중의 AgX grain의 형태와 입상도에 관한 연구 (A study of the relations between the Silver halide Grain structure in Emulsion and the Granularity)

  • In analysing the Image quality, one of the most important things to be considered is the granularity at a given emulsion speed. To enhance the image quality, the granularity should be lowered by the suitable methods, such as controlling the design of emulsion, grain size and structure, the distribution state of grains in the emulsion, etc. In this paper, the relations between the AgX grain structure and granularity are studied as a way of lowering granularity. According to the results, it is found that the grain structure is a very important factor for determining the granularity characteristics.istics.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the possibility of the non-destructive quality evaluation for food by the acoustic non-linear parameter B/A which is a measure of the non-linearity of the state equation of the medium in terms of pressure and density. The B/A of water, corn oil O/W(oil in water) emulsion and milk were measured by using a sound velocity measuring system. The B/A value of water was measured for ascertaining reliability of our experimental system. Corn oil W/W emulsion was prepared as a model of milk . It was proved that the B/A value of O/W emulsion was related to the oil concentration by a law of mixture. We applied this result to milk and obtained satisfactory results for predicting the milk fat concentration.
