  • This research is a descriptive study intended to identify the factors involved in the influence of the emotional intelligence of nursing students on their career decision-making self-efficacy and career decision levels. The correlations among the major variables were analyzed by calculating the Pearson's correlation coefficients. To identify the effects of the subjects' general characteristics and emotional intelligence on their career decision-making self-efficacy and career decision levels, a multiple regression analysis was conducted. The analysis results showed that there were positive relationships among emotional intelligence, career decision making and career decision-making self-efficacy. The factors influencing career decision-making self-efficacy were gender (${\beta}=-.155$), motivation to find employment (${\beta}=-.145$), use of emotions (${\beta}=.236$), emotional control (${\beta}=.197$), and understanding of others' emotions (${\beta}=.157$). In addition, the factors affecting the subjects' career decision level were the year level (${\beta}=.273$), motivation to find employment (${\beta}=-.145$), motivation to obtain others' recommendation (${\beta}=-.138$), and emotional control (${\beta}=.223$). Hence, sufficient endorsement from school or home is required with regard to the roles and duties of a nurse, in order to motivate future students to select the nursing degree. Furthermore, it is suggested that emotional intelligence may be improved when the degree program provides a higher proportion of emotional education.

  • Data mining technique can be adapted to analysing Employment information in order to discover valuable information out of large data. As the issue employment such as jobless of college graduate, recruitment for women, recruitment for elders etc. became social problem, there are many efforts of various public employment services and studies. The factors that affects the college graduate's employment type (regular, temporary, daily) can be used to guide employment and to prepare employment for college students. In analyzing large number of attributes and the huge amount of data elements, regular statistical methods faces their limitation; therefore, data-mining technique is more suitable for the dataset of about 170 attributes and 20,000 elements. We divide the factors that may affect the employment type into personal factor, school factor, company factor, and experience factor; decision tree algorithm is used to find out the interesting relationship between the attributes of the factors and employment type. Personal factors such as the income of parents and marital status were the most affective factors to the employment type. The learned decision tree was able to classify the employment type with 87% of accuracy. We also assume the level of the school affects the employment type of the graduates.

  • In this paper, the employment planning model is developed which is a decision-making model for determining the optimum employment level with respect to varying net manpower requirement for each planing period such that total cost in a planning horizon is minimized. It is constructed as a nonlinear programming model and a dynamic programming model on the basis of studies in the areas of production smoothing and manpower scheduling. Costs for a planning period are categorized into regular wage cost, hiring cost, and overtime cost. The first is a linear function. The other two cost functions are of quadratic nature. The planning horizon of this planning model is intermediate range (five years) for which a fair planning accuracy can be guaranteed. The model considers learning period for each job class. It is simple and an optimum solution can be easily obtained by direct search techniques.

  • The purpose of the study was to analyze the career decision level and career preparation behavior of 2-3 and 4 year college students majoring in science and engineering. We used the raw data of KEEP(Korean Education & Employment Panel) survey. In the results, we found that the career decision level of the subjects had no relationship with gender, high school type, university level, and study fields. On the other hand, in terms of the career preparation behavior, male students had more concrete perception regarding future jobs and tasks in labor market than female counterparts. In addition, 4 year college students were more positive and directed to pursue the career search planning and activities than 2 or 3 year college students. Finally, the students who had high career decision level could identify future job-related tasks, direction, rewards, and skill matches. We suggested that early career education and counselling should be provided for freshman or sophomore level students majoring in science and engineering at colleges and universities.

  • Using the 1st and 7th waves of KEEP(Korea Education and Employment Panel), this study explores the relationships among 212 participants' characteristics during high school, experience of taking English-mediated subject courses(EMSC) during college, career decision types, and employment status. These students' high school experiences and college experiences were used to predict the log-odds of taking and the understanding EMSC. Results of the analysis showed that none of high school characteristics such as career decision, English private education experience, interest in English, and their scholastic aptitude test score in English were associated with taking and understanding EMSC. Among college experience variables, only female students' level of understanding English subject courses was statistically significantly higher than that of male students. There were statistically significant positive associations between the understanding the EMSC and the number of the EMSC taken and also between the understanding of the EMSC and perceived usefulness of the EMSC. There was also a statistically significant relationship between career types (continuing with graduate studies vs. working) and taking EMSC, but the relationship between career types and understanding the EMSC was not statistically significant. In addition, the relationship between the experience of taking EMSC and employment status was not statistically significant.

  • In this Paper, Since the 1990s, Korea's credit card industry has steadily developed. As a result, various problems have arisen, such as careless customer information management and loans to low-credit customers. This, in turn, had a high delinquency rate across the card industry and a negative impact on the economy. Therefore, in this paper, based on Azure, we analyze and predict the delinquency and delinquency periods of credit loans according to gender, own car, property, number of children, education level, marital status, and employment status through linear regression analysis and enhanced decision tree algorithm. These predictions can consequently reduce the likelihood of reckless credit lending and issuance of credit cards, reducing the number of bad creditors and reducing the risk of banks. In addition, after classifying and dividing the customer base based on the predicted result, it can be used as a basis for reducing the risk of credit loans by developing a credit product suitable for each customer. The predicted result through Azure showed that when predicting with Linear Regression and Boosted Decision Tree algorithm, the Boosted Decision Tree algorithm made more accurate prediction. In addition, we intend to increase the accuracy of the analysis by assigning a number to each data in the future and predicting again.

  • The power of human capital in a library is the main resource that determines the level of library services, which in turn should play a pivotal role in forming the intellectual power of the country. This research conducted a survey on the employment perspectives of LIS undergraduates, which resulted as follows. First, among the LIS undergraduates, 40% of students responded that their desire was to be employed in the library as librarians. Although there were some negative opinions regarding the working environment of the industry, the undergraduates appreciated the developmental possibilities. Second, the most desired task was working with cultural programs. Third, the respondents were satisfied with the current curriculum overall, acknowledging the extra need for job search support programs, which include career support, employment-related mentoring, and internships. Fourth, the main requirements for their future employability were perceived as grade point average, language skills, obtaining licenses, internship and apprenticeship experience, and career management. Fifth, influential factors on employment decision making were divided into two aspects: environmental and personal factors. The environmental factors included salary, welfare, opportunities in personal development, workplace environment, organizational culture, and development possibilities of the organization. The personal factors included fitness with personal aptitude, the level of knowledge and technology in the job industry, social norms and acknowledgement, rewarding opportunities with their major, and location of job.
