In this study, the bias-temperature stress and current-temperature stress induced by the electrical stabilities of half-Corbino hydrogenated-amorphous-silicon (a-Si:H) thin-film transistors (TFTs) with different gate electrode geometries fabricated on the same substrate were examined. The influence of the gate pattern on the threshold voltage shift of the half-Corbino a-Si:H TFTs is discussed in this paper. The results indicate that the half-Corbino a-Si:H TFT with a patterned gate electrode has enhanced power efficiency and improved aperture ratio when compared with the half-Corbino a-Si:H TFT with an unpatterned gate electrode and the same source/drain electrode geometry.

Fluoride compound potentiometric cell oxygen sensors were fabricated for the measurement of oxygen pressure in the low temperature range (300。K-500。K). The disk type sensors consist of a reference Air(0$_2$):Ag, a solid electrolyte SrF$_2$, and a sensing metel Ag electrode. And the buried reference electrode type sensor have a NiO/Ni reference electrode. The open circuit emf of the cell showed high sensivity to oxygen gas (60mv) at the measuring temperature 20$0^{\circ}C$. Also, The buried reference electrode type sensor showed 30mv from 1% to 10% oxygen pressure range.
A novel poly(vinylchloride)-based membrane sensor using $N^1$,$N^3$,$N^5$-tris(2-(2,3-dihydroxybenzylamino)-ethyl)cyclohexane-1,3,5-tricarboxamide (CYCOENCAT, L) as ionophore has been prepared and explored as $Fe^{3+}$ selective electrode. The membrane electrode composed of ionophore, poly(vinylchloride) and o-nitropheyloctyl ether in the optimum ratio 4:33:63 gave excellent potentiometric response characteristics, and displayed a linear log[$Fe^{3+}$] versus EMF response over a wide concentration range of $1.0{\times}10^{-5}-1.0{\times}10^{-1}$ M with super nernstian slope of 28.0 mV/decade and the detection limit of $8.0{\times}10^{-6}$ M. The proposed ion selective electrode showed fast response time (< 15 s), wide pH range (3.0-7.0), high non-aqueous tolerance (up to 20%) and adequate long life time (120 days). It also exhibited very good selectivity for $Fe^{3+}$ relative to a wide variety of alkali, alkaline earth, transition and heavy metal ions. Further, the analytical applicability of the sensor was tested as an indicator electrode in the potentiometric titration of $Fe^{3+}$ with EDTA.

This paper proposes a compact-sized surface myoelectric sensor for the myoelectric hand prosthesis. To fit the surface myoelectric sensor in the socket for the myoelectric hand prosthesis, the sensor should be a compact size. The surface myoelectric sensor is. composed of a skin interface and a single processing circuit that are mounted on a single package. The skin interface has one reference and two input electrodes, and the reference electrode is located in the center of two input electrodes. In this paper we propose two types of sensors with the circle- and bar-shaped reference electrode, but all input electrodes are the bar-shaped. The metal material of the electrodes is the stainless steel (SUS440) that endures sweat and wet conditions. Considering the conduction velocity and the median frequency of the myoelectric signal, we select the inter-electrode distance (IED) between two input electrodes as 18mm, 20mm, and 22 mm. The signal processing circuit consists of a differential amplifier with a band pass filter, a band rejection filter for rejecting 60Hz power-line noise, amplifiers, and a mean absolute value circuit. We evaluate the proposed sensor from the output characteristics according to the IED and the shape of the reference electrode. From the experimental results we show the surface myoelectric sensor with the 18mm IED and the bar-shaped reference electrode is suitable for the myoelectric hand prosthesis.
The electric current of a flow injection type enzyme-sensor was measured to confirm the stable operating conditions of the sensor. The current of the sensor was decreased as the buffer solution velocity increased. Under the limitation of the cycle time to be below 10 minutes, the effective ranges of the buffer solution velocity were suggested $0.10{\sim}0.26$, $0.12{\sim}0.24$, $0.1{\sim}0.25$ and $0.05{\sim}0.10\;cm/s$ of 1.0, 1.4, 2.4 and 3.4 mm of the electrode diameters, respectively. As the reaction time of the enzyme and the substrate was increased, the current was decreased because of the dilution between the sample and buffer solution. Therefore, it could be recommended that the reaction time was able to be selected as shortly as possible in consideration of the total cycle time. As the result of the experiments using a different volume ratio of the enzyme to substrate, it was concluded that the substrate had to be mixed with the same amount of the enzyme. The current have increased remarkably in proportion to the electrode diameter under 0.1 cm/s of the buffer solution velocity but there was no difference over 0.1 cm/s of the buffer solution velocity. The cross type arrangement of the electrode was highly suggested for application and machining of the sensor.

In this paper, mesoporous Pt on micro pillars Pt electrode is newly designed, fabricated, and characterized on silicon substrate for non-enzymatic electrochemical sensor micro-chip integrated with CMOS readout circuitry. The fabricated micro/nano Pt electrode has cylindrical hexangular arrayed nano Pt pores with a diameter of 3.2 nm which is formed on top of the micro pillars Pt electrode with approximately $6{\mu}m$ in diameter, $6{\mu}m$ in space, and $50{\mu}m$ in height. The measured current responses of the fabricated plane Pt, mesoporous Pt, and mesoporous Pt on the micro pillar Pt electrodes are approximately $9.9nA/mm^2,\;6.72{\mu}A/mm^2,\;and\;7.67{\mu}A/mm^2$ in 10mM glucose solution with 0.1M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solution, respectively. In addition, the measured current responses of the fabricated plane Pt, mesoporous Pt, and mesoporous Pt on the micro pillar Pt electrodes are approximately $0.15{\mu}A/mm^2,\;0.56{\mu}A/mm^2,\;and\;0.74{\mu}A/mm^2$ in 0.1mM ascorbic acid (AA) solution with 0.1M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solution, respectively. This experimental results show that the proposed micro/nano Pt electrode is highly sensitive and promising for CMOS integrated non-enzymatic electrochemical sensor applications. Since the micro-pillar Pt electrode can also be utilized with a micro-fluidic mixer in the sensor chip, the sensor chip can be much smaller, cheaper, and easier to be fabricated.

The dissolved oxygen sensor of thick film type was fabricated by screen print method and measured the characteristic, reference electrode used Ag/AgCl, and working electrode used Pt. The devices are continuously powered at potential of $0.7V{\sim}0.8V$ versus Ag/AgCl reference electrode and results indicated that the response characteristic of sensor was $1.002{\mu}A{\sim}19.792{\mu}A$ for thirty seconds. we can know that it is good linearity when compared with of existent dissolved oxygen meter. Therefore sensor fabricated excels sensitivity for dissolved oxygen and will be considered to be applied typically because the price is costly.

This paper presents an electrode shape design method for the multi-mode sensors that could deteict the selected structural multiple modes. The structure used for this study is an isotropic cantilever beam type with a PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) which is bonded onto the structure as a sensor. The shape optimization problem is solved by using Genetic Algorithm (GA) with an appropriate objective function. The performance of analytical optimal shape sensor is compared with that of experimental work. The results show that the, obtained electrode shape sensors have good performance to detect the multiple vibration modes simultaneously.
This paper proposes a dry-type surface myoelectric sensor for the myoelectric hand prosthesis. The designed surface myoelectric sensor is composed of skin interface and processing circuits. The skin interface has one reference and two input electrodes, and the reference electrode is located in the center of two input electrodes. Considering the conduction velocity and the median frequency of the myoelectric signal, the inter-electrode distance (IED) between two input electrodes as 18mm, 20mm, and 22mm is selected. The signal processing circuit consists of a differential amplifier with a band pass filter, a band rejection filter for rejecting 60㎐ power-line noise, amplifier, and a level circuit. Using SUS440, six prototype skin interface with different reference electrode shape and IED is fabricated, and their output characteristics are evaluated by output signal obtained from the forearm of a healthy subject. The experimental results show that the skin interface with parallel bar shape and the 18mm IED has a good output characteristics. The fabricated dry-type surface myoelectric sensor is evaluated for the upper-limb amputee.
