Synthesis and Optically Characterization of Bragg Structure Porous Silicon (다층 다공성 실리콘의 합성과 그 광학적 특성 조사)

  • Electrochemical etching of heavily doped p-type silicon wafers (boron doped, <100> orientation, resistivity; $0.8-1.2m{\Omega}/cm$) with different current density resulting two different refractive indices resulted in DBR (Distributed Bragg Reflectors) porous silicon, which exhibited strong in-plane anisotropy of refractive index (birefringence). Dielectric stacks of birefringent porous silicon acting as distributed Bragg reflectors have two distinct reflection bands depending on the polarization of the incident linearly polarized light. This effect is caused by a three-dimensional (in plane and in depth) variation of the refraction index. Optical characteristics of DBR porous silicon were investigated.

A Study on Alloy Design for Improving Pitting Resistance of Austenitic Stainless Steel Weld under Ocean Water Atmosphere (오스테나이트계 스테인리스강 용접부의 공식저항성을 위한 합금설계에 관한 연구)

  • The base metal and weld metal of alloy designed austenitic stainless steels were electrochemically tested in artificial sea water. Pitting resistance of 14 different stainless steels was evaluated by measuring pitting potential. The effect of alloy element to pitting potential was evaluated by changing chromium, nickel, sulfur content. The site of pitting initiation was observed by optical microscope. As a result of electrochemical test, pitting resistance of weld metal was higher than base metal, and rapidly cooled weld metal has higher pitting potential than slowly cooled weld metal. In case of primary δ-ferrite solidification, pitting potential was increased, but residual δ-ferrite was detrimental to pitting resistance. Chromium was more effective to pitting resistance than nickel, and sulfur was very detrimental element to pitting resistance.

  • This paper presnets the characteristics of electropolymerization and electrochemicla propoerties of polyaniline(PAn). From the morphology study on the PAn surface, it seems that coagulation of the fibrils on the surface proceeds as the PAn grows, resulting in fibril clusters with new branches and more extensive voids. While PAn/Li cell is cycled at potential range between 2.9V and 3.7V in which the first strong reduction peak of 2.75V does not appear, its oxidation reduction capacities were increased up to about tenth cycle. Electricity efficiency of stable charge-discharge to deep discharge in PAn/Li cell was 42.9%. Average charge potential, avergae discharge potential, energy density, and charge-discharge energy efficiency of the PAn/Li cell were 3.4V, 3.25V, 132.9Wh/kg, and 95.6%, respectively.
