Recent construction site large disaster occurs in, even normal disaster not be reduced, the efforts of pre-disaster prevention for this is also a need to study the evaluation index. By comprehensive examination zero reform the current lowest bid system has included the social responsibility index is scheduled, objective and quantitative evaluation indicators making construction safety areas that are included in the item of social responsibility is required ing. In this study, the construction, in order to prevent disasters, efforts pre disaster prevention be presented metrics in the construction safety in the field of comprehensive examination system and the evaluation index, it is intended to examine the evaluation items for the evaluation indices.

Quality of care and patient safety have become today's agenda for healthcare industry in worldwide. This paper describes experiences to improve quality of care and patient safety in USA and identifies some future tasks for better implementation of quality improvement efforts. The paper concludes with a discussion of the implications for Korean healthcare system.

This study is to suggest legislation and criteria for public service drones for disaster safety in order to enhance the research and development of the drones by helping setting right direction of the R&D. Many foreign governments are now conducting research and development on using drones as public service for disaster safety. Although there are also some efforts to using drones for public service in Korea, domestic laws and performance criteria for the drones for the purpose have not prepared yet. To set a right direction of the R&D, the laws and criteria shall be legislated and established immediately and then we can enhance the efforts to develop related technology for the drone. So this study proposed a performance criteria to fit various circumstances and situations by analyzing the aviation law in overseas. We hope this study can help R&D on the public service drones for disaster safety.

Objective:The purpose of this study is to suggest the methodology for establishment of safety culture in industry. Background: There have been studies indicating positive relation between safety culture and safety performance. But the areas of those efforts have been mainly focused on elements or factors consisting of safety culture. So it is expected that studies on methodologies for developing process of the culture could contribute for the industry to understand and apply it accordingly in order to improve their practices. Method: In this study, the scope was considered just for industry, even though there are many fields of culture. As the first step, the limitations of regulatory control and efforts by industry were reviewed, and the trends of researches were presented. In the second step, the global company practices were provided with detailed activities. Results: This paper showed the limitations of present state in government strategies and industry for safety culture improvement. Also the restricted areas in researches were shown. As one of the solutions to resolve those things, such global company practices as perception to safety journey, the steps of culture development, total safety philosophy, structure and elements of safety process, standards and procedures, training, and up to keys to success were suggested. Conclusion: Through this study, the development of the structure of safety process which consists of many purposeful activities has been derived to be very important. Because it will be the seeds of safety culture expressing their thinking process and behaviors. Also it is required to approach success step by step according to the achievement of each step. Application: This study can be used to develop the methodology and safety process in industry with different viewpoints for safety culture establishment.

The usage and types of chemicals being developed, with diversified new exposure of workers, are of natural concern to occupational disease. In Korea, with industrialization, application of many chemicals has increased. A large proportion of mortality and disease is due to cancer, and the causal hazardous agents include chemical agents, like heavy metals and so on. Due to the long latency period with malignancies and the fact they are usually found after workers' retirement, it is suggested that management policies must be established to prevent occupational cancers occurring among workers in Korea. To give a general description about the efforts to prevent the occupational cancer with exposure to chemicals, articles on the trends of occupational cancers were reviewed and summarized with related research and efforts for prevention in Korea. It is important to improve the understanding of occupational cancer and help to maintain sustainable and appropriate measures to guarantee workers safety and health.

Purpose of this paper is to enhance aviation safety in korea through comparison with aviation safety policies implemented by other countries. it can be another opportunity for Korean two national flag airlines to reappraise and reinforce the significance of "aviation safety", as well as set forth immediate vigorous efforts to support the government's aviation safety enhancement countermeasures. I hope this study would contribute and provide a variable idea and direction to enhance aviation safety management of two Korean flag carriers.

Notorious press machine bothers employers by causing so many industrial accidents which are mostly of caught-in or between type. In 2008, press machines caused 1665 cases of such type of accidents, which reached about 11% of all those. Even though various approaches has been adopted to prevent those press machine accidents, up to now, no one was found to be satisfactory. In this study, two kinds of companies, accident-occurred and accident-free by press machine, were surveyed to find out positive and negative factors for accidents prevention. 400 companies which experienced accidents in 2008 and 200 companies which did not experience accident at all during the same period were selected for this survey. Most of these companies are small companies that employ less than 50 employees. Even though small companies are exempted from legal obligations to have a safety management system for accident prevention, we surveyed about safety management systems of those companies because of its crucial importance for accident prevention including whether they appointed safety managers and various supervisors. Awareness and efforts for safety of employers and employees were also measured. Results were analysed by the method of cross tabulation analysis. Main findings of this study are as follows. Most accident-occurred companies did not appoint any safety manager or supervisor. While it is recommended that the workplace of high accident rate have a safety manager. In addition, as less employers' effort for safety was made in accident-occurred companies in order to prevent accidents during press processing, the author proposes an amendment to the relevant law. Finally, the most referred reason for the negligence of hazard is the cumbersomeness in installing safeguards.

In construction industries, the problem areas in safety are different to those of manufacturing. For instance, construction safety efforts must strongly emphasize fall prevention, whereas caught-in/ between incidents and electrical shocks are common in manufacturing. This paper reports an analysis of fall incidents that lead to fatalities in 1999 and in 2000. It also provides a safety plan for fall prevention by analyzing the origins of fall incidents by their trades and locations of concern. The findings of this study are expected to contribute toward reducing fall incidents in construction industry.

건설산업에서 안전사고를 줄이기 위한 노력을 다양한 방법으로 꾸준히 하고 있지만 줄지 않고 있다. 따라서 설계단계에 설계의 안전성 검토를 도입하여 안전사고발생의 근본적 원인을 제거하고자 2016년부터 설계 안전성 검토를 도입하여 시행하고 있다. 본 연구에서 설계 안전성 검토 시행의 적정성과 문제점을 도출하여 제도가 올바르게 정착하여 안전사고를 줄이는데 기여하고자 하였다. 따라서 관련 기술자들에게 설문조사를 하고 설계 안전성 검토 보고서를 분석한 결과 관련 기술자들의 설계의 안전성 검토에 대한 인식률이 낮고, 설계의 안전성 검토에서 도출된 위험요인도 설계 사항이 아닌 항목이 다수인 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 실질적인 설계단계 설계상 위험요인을 줄이는 노력을 하여 안전사고 감소에 좀 더 기여할 수 있도록 하여야 할 것이다.

It is said that a large part of losses caused by company is attributet to the loss manpower material resources by industrial accident. To alleviate industrial accident, machine-oriented safety supervision is superior to that of manpower-oriented in spite of diversified efforts, in many aspects. It will not secured a sense of safety if people can not utilize machines correctly despite excellent machines. As a part of preventing industrial accident, industrial safety education is aimed to improvement of productivity of company through exact research of actual condition of industrial safety education.
