  • KAERI has contrived 14 kinds of spacer grid shapes of its own since 1997 and applied for Korean and US patents. To date. KAERI has obtained US and Korean patents for 6 kinds of spacer grid shapes among them. Tn this study. performance test on two spacer grid shapes that are assumed to be the most effective candidates for the spacer grid of the next generation nuclear fuel in Korea was carried Qui through the mechanical/structural test and analysis. The test result has shown thai the performances of the candidates are better or not worse than that of the current spacer grid.

트리즈 발명원리의 산업 분야별 활용도 분석: 대한민국 발명특허대전 수상작 중심으로 (On the Use of TRIZ Inventive Principles by Industries: Focusing on the Awarded Patents at the Korea Invention Patent Exhibition)

  • TRIZ has been widely promoted as an effective methodology to solve engineering problems. Many people wonder if the methodology based on the solutions which resolved technological contradictions more than a half-century ago still works well. To answer the question, the usage of TRIZ 40 inventive principles for the awarded patents of the Korea Invention Patent Exhibition from 2011 to 2017 is analyzed. The result shows that the inventive principles can be applied to a variety of engineering problems in different industries. In addition, there are crucial inventive principles which applied frequently regardless of industry categories.

  • This paper intends to analyze the roles of regulations and certifications within the construction market that affect the effective recycling and application methods of construction waterproofing industries. Certifications, eco-labels, green certification patents, and new excellent technologies obtained in construction waterproofing industries are studied. In accordance to the study results, it was determined that, a total of 38 items obtained eco-labels with effective recycling as the theme, 10 items with green certifications, and 8 items with New Excellent Technologies.

  • 중소기업은 창조경제의 중추적 역할을 담당하는 핵심 성장 동력원으로서 중요한 위치를 차지함에도 불구하고 중소기업의 현실은 희망이 없다. 중소기업의 혁신을 통한 중장기적 성장전략을 제시하고자 유망자유기술 탐색방법을 제안하고, 2006년부터 2010년까지 PCT 출원되어 공개된 특허를 조사하여 기술동향을 정량 분석한 다음, LED품목을 사례로 들어 PCT 및 국내 특허정보를 분석하고, 미래 유망 자유기술을 탐색하였다. 제시된 자유기술탐색 방법은 중소기업의 국제시장 진출 방향 설정 및 국가산업 전략의 수립에도 활용이 가능할 것이다.

  • This study examines he trend in the development of protective clothing for pesticide spraying based on materials with domestic patents and proposes pesticide protection clothing using a cooling blower unit effective for reducing heat stress in pesticide spraying. There was a total of 54 domestic patents on protective clothing related to pesticide spraying, reflecting a sharp increase based on the increasing demand for protective clothing since 2000. Protective clothing with a lower level of heat stress as the core technology accounted for 35.2% of these patents, and recent years have witnessed the increased development of protective clothing supplying cold air to the interior of the clothing through a separate device. However, this may cause some inconvenience in the activity of farmers. Therefore, this study proposes a lightweight cooling blower unit that does not hinder the user's appearance and activity. In the cooling blower unit, contaminated air from outside is purified through a filter and cools down as it passes a cooling device with refrigerant in the copper pipe. This chilled air is supplied to the interior of the clothing through a bidirectional inhaling blower. The proposed protective clothing is an overall with raglan sleeves. Its chill injection site has an area where the most conspicuous change in temperature is selected, and at the back, there is a large pocket for a cooling blower unit.

패널구조방정식을 활용한 IT기업의 R&D투자효과 연구: 특허 매개효과 중심으로 (R&D Investment Effect through Patent on IT firms using Panel Structural Equations)

  • This study analyzes not only the direct impact of R&D investment on corporate growth for 578 private firms in 2007-2016, but also whether corporate innovation activities play a role as a mediating parameter between R&D investment and corporate growth. For this purpose, we classify companies into IT and non-IT companies and measure the mediating effect by dividing innovation activities into the number of registered patents, applied patents, and sum of them. In addition, this study is based on both the systemGMM which is considered to be effective in solving the endogenous problems caused by the cross-sectional analysis in previous studies and ML-SEM which is a new method recently, and then compares two results. According to the empirical results, innovation activities has a role as partly mediating parameter on sales growth in non-IT companies. On the other hands, in IT companies, the increase in R&D investment leads to a decrease in sales of the company, and the increase in innovation activities increases the sales of the company. However, it was confirmed that IT companies also had positive effects by adjusting the lag of the R&D. In other words, this suggests that securing patents is more important than R&D investment for direct sales growth of IT companies. It is also evidence that immediate introduction of technology is necessary to respond to the speed of technological change since the cycle time of technologies of the IT field is relatively shorter compared to that of other fields.

미국 특허분석으로 보는 장내 미생물 기술 발전 현황 - 한의학 연구 및 한의약 기술 발전에 주는 시사점 - (Using US Patent Analysis to Monitor the Technological Trend in the Field of Gastrointestinal Microbiome - Implications on Korean Medicine Research and Development -)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to provide direction for future research in the field of Korean medicine by analyzing microbiome based technologies emerging as a new diagnostic and treatment paradigm. Methods: To achieve the purpose of the study intellectual property data was used. After establishing citation network from registered microbiome-related US patents, citation network was analyzed by knowledge persistence-based main path approach to understanding technological trajectories. Furthermore, community detection algorithms were used to quantitatively identifying specific technological domain in a particular time period. Results: Results shows that early technologies in livestock industry contribute most to the recent patents. Knowledge in the patents flow through the path of food and beverage technological domain, and finally are inherited to the recent development of diagnosis, treatment and prevention technic. Conclusions: This study indicate that developing diagnostic tools which can link the composition of microbiome to specific diseases should be given high priority. Researches should lead to novel therapeutic strategies. Specifically, improving reliability of pattern identification and finding effective therapeutic compositions based on principles of Korean medicine is necessary.

  • 세계가 하나의 경제로 통합화되고 있는 상황에서 우리나라가 선진국과의 경쟁에서 경쟁력을 유지하기 위해서는, 기술 개발을 통한 필수특허 창출은 물론이고 이를 국제표준에 반영하는 노력을 기울여야 한다. 특히, 기술개발과 연계한 효율적인 표준화도 중요하지만, 중장기 기술 기획 시 표준화를 고려한 기획의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 국내 정보통신 관련 기술기획 및 표준화 기획 분야의 사례를 분석하여 기술기획에 기반한 효과적인 표준화 기획 체계를 제시하여 국내 개발기술의 국제 표준화를 촉진하고 표준화 활동의 초석을 마련하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
