체감 산업안전 평가지수 개발과 그 응용에 대한 연구 (Development of Effective Industrial Safety Index and Application)

  • The importance of development of occupational safety index is truly great. It will contribute to the wise direction of safety program. In present, frequency and severity ratios were the standard measure. These terms express the incidence of major injuries and severity of the major injuries experience, each with relation to the employee-hours of work exposure during the period that is measured. But these measure don't expressed the dangerous feeling degree of worker. In this study, Effective Industrial Safety Index(EISI) was developed using dangerous feeling degree of worker, frequency of injuries, and severity of injury. EISI can be used as an aid for effective safety management in workplace.

현장 관측 자료를 이용한 금오산 계명대학교 동영학술림 부근의 생물기후환경 분석 (Analysis of Bioclimatic Variables in Mt. Geumo Region Adjacent to Keimyung Dongyeong Forest )

  • Eight years (2014-2021) of climate data were collected from an automatic weather observation system installed at the foot of Mt. Geumo in Chilgok, Gyeongbuk. Using these data, we investigated local bio-climatological indices (warmth index, WI; coldness index, CI; and effective accumulated temperature, EAT) of the mountain region adjacent to the Keimyung Dongyeong forest. The study area's WI and CI were 109.3℃ and -11.3℃ per month, respectively, averaged across 8 years. These values are indicative of an evergreen broad-leaved forest in the warm temperate climate zone, suitable for cultivating sweet persimmons and figs. Additionally, EAT in Dongyeong was 2,113.7℃, averaged across 8 years, suitable for growing crops such as corn, soybean, and potato.

  • 본 연구는 상대적 날씨 스트레스 지수로 NET의 적용 가능성을 파악하고자 하였다. 기상청에서 예보하고 있는 기온, 습도, 바람 자료를 이용하여 NET 값의 시공간적 분포 특성을 분석하였다. 여름철 스트레스 지수인 일 최고 NET의 지역별 스트레스 기준값은 바람과 습도보다는 기온의 영향을 받으므로 일 최고 기온의 분포와 유사하다. 겨울철 스트레스 지수인 일 최저 NET의 스트레스 기준값은 산지 지역과 서울 이북 지역에서는 낮은 기온의 영향을. 해안 지역에서는 강한 바람의 영향으로 기준값이 여름철에 비하여 다양하게 나타난다. 스트레스가 강한 날의 발생 빈도는 여름철은 뚜렷한 연변화가 나타나지 않지만, 겨울철에는 1990년대 중반 이후 뚜렷한 증가 경향을 보인다.

콜로이드 실리카 나노입자의 부착에 의한 반사방지막 제조 및 굴절율 조절 (Convective Deposition of Silica Nano-Colloidal Particles and Preparation of Anti-Reflective Film by Controlling Refractive Index)

  • Anti-reflection film was coated by using spherical silica nano colloids. Silica colloid sol was reserved between two inclined slide glasses by capillary force, and particles were convectively stacked to form a film onto the substrate as the water evaporates. As the sliding speed increased, the thickness of the film decreased and the wavelength at the maximum transmittance decreased. The microstructure observed by SEM showed that silica particles were nearly close packed, which enabled the calculation of the effective refractive index of the film. The film thickness was measured by proffer and calculated from the wavelength of maximum transmittance and the effective refractive index. The effective refractive index of the film could be controlled by a subtle controlling of the coating speed and by mixing two different sized silica particles. When the 100 nm and 50 m particles were mixed at 4:1-5:1 volume ratio, the maximum transmittance of $95.2\%$ for one-sided coating was obtained. This is the one that has increased by $3.8\%$ compared to bare glass substrate, and shows that $99.0\%$ of transmittance or $1.0\%$ of reflectance can be achieved by the simple process if both sides of the substrate are coated.

  • 유전자 발현 자료(gene expression data)는 전형적인 고차원 자료이며, 이를 분석하기 위한 여러 가지 군집 알고리즘(clustering algorithm)과 군집 결과들을 검증하는 군집타당성분석 기법(cluster validation technique)이 제안되고 있지만, 이들 군집 타당성을 분석하는 기법의 성능에 대한 비교, 평가는 매우 드물다. 본 논문에서는 저차원의 모의실험 자료와 실제 유전자 발현 자료에 대하여 군집 타당성분석 기법들의 성능을 비교하였으며, 그 결과 내적 측도에서는 Dunn 지수, Silhouette 지수 순으로 뛰어났고 외적 측도에서는 Jaccard 지수가 성능이 가장 우수한 것으로 평가되었다.

The Effects of Water-Based Exercise on Physiological Cost Index and Balance in Stroke Patients

  • Purpose: This study attempts to find the effects of water-based exercise performed on stroke patients in their physiological cost index and static and dynamic balance. Methods: The subjects were 30 stroke patients, who were randomly divided a water-based exercise group and a land-based exercise group, each with 15 patients. Both exercises ware performed 3 day per week, for 40 minutes a day, for a period of eight weeks. Results: The Water-based exercise group showed a decreased physiological cost index compared to the land-based exercise group, with the physiological cost index of the water-based exercise group decreasing, while the land-based exercise group, showing a significant decrease. Water-based exercise increased static and dynamic balance capacity better than land-based group, showing a significant difference and better efficiency of water-based exercise when compared to land-based exercise. Conclusion: From the result of the study, we found that water-based exercise is more effective in improving PCI and static and dynamic balance capacity. Through this study, training in water-based stroke patients could use cardiovascular endurance and buoyancy and the vortex, as an effective treatment that can enhance the growth and voluntary participation in the range of the patient's own movement the thought is, in consideration of the changes in the physiological cost index due to the difference in the ground and water, and should establish a training program that matches the purpose.

프로바이오틱스와 코코넛 오일 기반 양치의 구강건강 개선 효과 (Efficacy of probiotics and coconut oil-based mouthrinses to improve oral health)

  • Objectives: We analyzed the relative beneficial impacts of probiotics and coconut oil-based mouth rinses on oral health. Methods : A total of 33 subjects were enrolled and randomly assigned to three groups. Coconut oil and probiotics were given to the experimental group, and distilled water to the control group. We evaluated the possession site of Gingival index, CPITN index, BOP, Pocket depth, and PHP index. Results: In the coconut oil and probiotic groups, Gingival index significantly decreased on both days 15 and 30. CPITN significantly decreased on days 15 and 30 in the coconut oil group (p<0.01), and on day 30 in the probiotic group (p=0.002). There was a significant interaction between group and time for BOP and PHP index (p<0.001), and the coconut oil group was more effective in improving BOP and PHP index. Conclusions: The above results showed that the mediation effect of coconut oil and probiotics was more effective with coconut oil.

대도시 및 농촌지역 주민의 구강위생실태 조사 연구 (A STUDY ON THE ORAL HYGIENE STATUS OF RESIDENTS WHO LIVED IN LARGE CITIES AND RURAL AREA)

  • The auther had studied on the debri index, calculus index and simplified oral hygiene index, which was made according to the oral examination criteria recommened by WHO in 1971. The examined persons were 14,825 persons who lived in large cities and rural area. The obtained results were as follows: 1. the simplified oral hygiene index were 1.81 in male and 1.54 in female who lived I large cities. In rural area, the simplified oral hygiene index were 2.23 in male and 1.92 in female. 2. the debri index, calculus index and oral hygiene index were lower in upper jaw than in lower jaw. 3. According to the aging, debri, index, calculus index and simplified oral hygiene index score wee increased. 4. Dental health education what had done was not so effective on oral hygiene.

SPI와 EDI 가뭄지수의 방글라데시 기상가뭄 평가 적용성 비교 (Comparative Evaluation of Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) and Effective Drought Index (EDI) for Meteorological Drought Detection over Bangladesh)

  • A good number of drought indices have been introduced and applied in different regions for monitoring drought conditions, but some of those are region-specific and have limitations for use under other climatic conditions because of the inherently complex characteristics of drought phenomenon. Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) indices are widely used all over the world, including Bangladesh. Although newly developed, studies have demonstrated The Effective Drought Index (EDI) to perform better compared to SPIs in some areas. This research examined the performance of EDI to the SPI for detecting drought events throughout 35 years (1981 to 2015) in Bangladesh. Rainfall data from 27 meteorological stations across Bangladesh were used to calculate the EDI and SPI values. Results suggest that the EDI can detect historical records of actual events better than SPIs. Moreover, EDI is more efficient in assessing both short and long-term droughts than SPIs. Results also indicate that SPI3 and the EDI indices have a better capability of detecting drought events in Bangladesh compared to other SPIs; however, SPI1 produced erroneous estimates. Therefore, EDI is found to be more responsive to drought conditions and can capture the real essence of the drought situation in Bangladesh. Outcomes from this study bear policy implications on mitigation measures to minimize the loss of agricultural production in drought-prone areas. Information on severity level and persistence of drought conditions will be instrumental for resource managers to allocate scarce resources optimally.

SPI와 EDI를 이용한 충남 서부지역 과거와 미래 가뭄 평가 (Evaluation of the past and future droughts using Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) and Effective Drought Index (EDI) in the western region of Chungnam Province)

  • The drought has occurred from the past, and has caused a lot of damage. It is important to analyze the past droughts and predict them in the future. In this study, the temperature and precipitation of the past and the future from climate change RCP 4.5 and 8.5 scenarios were analyzed for Seosan and Boryeong in the western region of Chungnam Province, which is considered as a drought-prone area on the Korean Peninsula. Comparing Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) and Effective Drought Index (EDI) based on the past droughts, EDI was verified to be more suitable for the drought assessment. According to RCP 4.5, the frequency and intensity of droughts in the early future (2021~2060) were expected to increase and to be stronger. Particularly, severe droughts were predicted for a long time from 2022 to 2026, and from 2032 to 2039. Droughts were expected to decrease in the late future (2061~2100). From RCP 8.5, drought occurrences were predicted to increase, but the intensity of the droughts were expected to decrease in the future. As a result of evaluation of the frequencies of droughts by seasons, the region would be most affected by fall drought in the early future and by spring drought in the late future according to RCP 4.5. In the case of RCP 8.5, the seasonal effects were not clearly distinguished. These results suggest that droughts in the future do not have any tendency, but continue to occurr as in the past. Therefore, the measures and efforts to secure water resources and reinforcement of water supply facilities should be prepared to cope with droughts.
