복부직경에 따른 CT유효선량 및 화질변화 비교 분석 (A Comparison Analysis of CT Effective Dose and Image Quality according to Abdominal Diameter)

  • 본 연구는 경기도 소재 대학병원에 2018년 1월1일부터 2018년 6월30일까지 복부 CT검사를 위해 내원한 모든 환자의 영상 중 무작위로 선정하여 복부 면적의 크기 별로 20명 씩 60명을 총 3군으로 분류하여 복부 CT영상의 면적에 따른 유효선량과 화질의 변화정도를 알아보았다. 그 결과 평균면적 군 에서 유효선량이 7.34 mSv로, 평균면적이상 군은 8.39 mSv, 평균면적이하 군은 5.89 mSv로 측정 되었다. 화질분석을 위해 복부면적에 따라 동일한 3영역에 ROI를 그려 비교해본 결과 3군으로 분류한 복부면적에서 모두 CT value가 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다(p<0.05). 향후 실제 임상에서 적용할 수 있는 프로토콜을 개발 시 본 연구결과를 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료되며 현재 임상에서 CT검사 시 적용하고 있는 다양한 선량감소 프로그램을 적용 및 복부 면적 외 다양한 환자의 변환 조건 등을 고려하여 연구와 고찰을 도출한다면 화질과 피폭선량 감소에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • Changes of the surface area and the volume of limb are important factors for designing clothes and shoes. The limb volume increases slightly in the afternoon in general, because of human activity, as a diurnal variation. Changes are also associated with menstrual cycle, pregnancy, physical exercise and environmental temperature. The most effective method for measuring the surface area of limb is the paper replacement method.

5MHz 초과 초음파자극기에 대한 IEC 61689 규격 적용의 유효성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effectiveness of Application of the IEC 61689 Standard to Ultrasonic Physiotherapy Systems with Frequency Range over 5MHz)

  • Ultrasonic physiotherapy systems should comply with IEC 60601-2-5(particular requirements for safety of ultrasonic physiotherapy equipment) standard for safety of patients and clinical performances. One of the most important parameters in the standard is the effective radiating area ($A_{ER}$). It has to be measured in accordance with IEC 61689 (field specifications and methods of measurement in the frequency range 0.5MHz to 5MHz). Typical ultrasonic physiotherapy system works in the frequency range 1MHz ~ 3MHz to comply with the IEC 61689. However, ultrasonic physiotherapy system using frequencies over 5MHz is out of the IEC 61689's scope. That is, even if such ultrasonic physiotherapy systems are developed by demands of the market, there is no standard to apply. It is the motivation for this study. Whereas there are other parameters to be considered, this study focuses on the effective radiating area and shows effectiveness of applying IEC 61689 in measuring effective radiating area of ultrasonic physiotherapy systems using frequency range over 5MHz by comparing the results of computer simulation and experiment. Results of this study shows that applying the IEC 61689 standard to ultrasonic physiotherapy system using frequency range over 5MHz is possible.

  • 본 논문에서는 액체로켓에서 추력제어를 위해 주로 사용되는 글로브 제어밸브의 대해 주기적인 저주파 압력섭동에서 유효 단면적에 따라 변하는 임피던스 특성에 관해 해석적 연구를 수행하였다. 유효 단면적에 따라 임피던스가 증가하는 경향을 확인하였으며, 유동장 가시화를 통해 임피던스 특성 변화를 일으키는 원인에 대해 알아보았다. 향후 제어밸브의 임피던스 특성변화의 관한 정보는 공급 시스템의 임피던스를 구하는데 활용될 수 있기 때문에 포고 현상 예측의 활용될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 포고 현상 감소를 위해 완충기 및 오리피스를 설계할 때도 도움이 될 것이다.

  • A discharge free Electro-Rheological Squeeze Film Damper (ER-SFD) with predetermined-clearances at leakage ends can inherently eliminate electric discharge problems while still supplying stable leakage control. Test results show that the damping force of the slotted-ring ER-SFD is mainly affected by electric voltage, oil supply pressure, position of the damper and ratio of effective surface area of slotted-rings. As the supply voltage is larger, the amplitudes of both slotted ER-SFD and rotor are decreased at first and second critical speeds. The influence of the oil supply pressure and the effective surface area ratio was shown mainly near the first critical speed. The effective surface area ratio of slotted-rings influences the reduction of flexible rotor vibration. As a result, experimental results confirm that the slotted-ring ER-SFD satisfactorily controls the flexible rotor vibration, while eliminates the inherent electric discharge problems in conventional ER-SFDs.

농업용 저수지의 유효수심과 수질관리방안 (Water Quality Management of Agricultural Reservoirs Considering Effective Water Depth)

  • Water quality data for 10 years (2000~2009) from about 826 reservoirs that are operated as a agricultural water quality survey network were analyzed in order to seek water quality management plan based on physical and chemical characteristics of agricultural reservoirs. The 95% reservoirs that exceed agricultural water quality standard of Chl-a (35mg/ $m^3$) had effective water depth shallower than 5m. The reason was that the reservoirs had more inflows of nutrient salts from the watershed, bigger surface water area of weak structure to algae occurrence. As the reservoirs of effective water depth shallower than 5m cover 49% of benefited area for irrigation, it is critical for agricultural water quality management of the reservoirs. The water quality of reservoir with shallower than 5m effective water depth was worse than reservoir with deeper than 5m effective water depth. Therefore, it is desirable that effective water depth of reservoirs make more than 5m for water quality management by building the bank higher and dredging the bottom of reservoirs.

Effect of Inspiratory Muscle Training with Elastic Taping on Forced vital capacity and Sway Area in Stroke Patients

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the forced vital capacity and sway area of respiratory muscles taping with threshold inspiratory muscles training for 1 week. Methods: Nineteen stroke patients were divided into two groups: experimental group (respiratory muscles taping with threshold inspiratory muscles training, n=10) and control group (threshold inspiratory muscles training, n=9). Forced vital capacity tests were performed using a spirometer. The instrument records the forced vital capacity (FVC). COP excursion test was performed using Zebris. The instrument records the sway area. All tests were measured before and after intervention. Results: The experimental group and control group showed significant increase in FVC (p<0.05). The sway area showed a significant decrease only in the experimental group (p<0.05). The FVC and sway area was no significant difference between the two groups (p>0.05). Conclusion: Threshold inspiratory muscles training is an effective intervention for improving FVC. Threshold inspiratory muscles training with respiratory taping is an effective intervention for improving FVC and sway area. Threshold inspiratory muscles training with respiratory taping can improve balance ability.

  • Meadow fescue품종(品種)을 공시(供試)하여 엽면적(葉面積)의 수직적분포(垂直的分布)와 건물수량(乾物收量)과의 관계(關係)를 검토(檢討)하였다. 1. 엽면적(葉面積)의 수직적분포(垂直的分布)로서 품종(品種)을 분류(分類)한 결과(結果), 최대엽면적(最大葉面積)이 하층부(下層部)에 분포(分布)되어 상층부(上層部)로 갈수록 엽량(葉量)이 적어지는 품종(品種)(M), 중간층(中間層)에 최대엽면적(最大葉面積)이 분포(分布)되어 상(上) 하층부(下層部)로 갈수록 엽량(葉量)이 감소(減少)되는 품종(品種)(Leto First, Bundy), 최대엽면적(最大葉面積)이 중간층(中間層)에 분포(分布)되어 있으나 상층부(上層部)에 엽량(葉量)이 대부분(大部分)이 집중분포(集中分布)된 품종(品種)(Tammisto) 및 하층부(下層部)에서 최대엽면적(最大葉面積)을 나타내나 전층(全層)에 엽량(葉量)이 비교적(比較的) 균등(均等)히 분포(分布)된 품종(品種)(Trader)의 4 가지 형(型)으로 분류(分類)되었다. 2. 유효엽면적지수는 건물수량(乾物收量), 엽면적지수(葉面積指數), 경중(莖重) 및 경면적지수(莖面積指數)와 유의(有意)한 정상관(正相關)을 나타 내었다. 3. 출수경(出穗莖)이 많은 품종(品種)의 유효엽면적은 상층부(上層部)에 분포(分布)되었으나 영양경(榮養莖)이 많은 품종(品種)은 유효엽면적지수의 비율(比率)이 높았다. 4. 최대엽면적(最大葉面積)을 나타내는 층(層) 이상(以上)에 분포(分布)된 엽면적(葉面積)과 엽면적중(葉面積重)의 관계(關係)는 M과 Trader가 유의(有意)한 부(負)의 상관(相關)이 인정(認定)되었으나 그 외의 품종(品種)에서는 유의(有意)한 상관(相關)이 인정(認定)되지 않았다.

  • Helical steel piles are being widely used in foundation for the buildings in urban areas because of their high compressive and tensile capacities. Helical steel piles have many advantages; ease installation, a vibration-free and low level of noise process, and so on. However, the most researches are about the capacity of helical steel piles under uplift condition. Therefore, this paper focuses on the capacity under compressive loading according to the soil condition. The bearing capacity of helical steel piles varies with the diameter of the helix and shaft and the bearing area of helical steel piles is not always identical with the sum of helix and shaft area due to the difference of each bearing mechanism. Therefore, the experiment with the parameters of the ratio of helix and shaft diameter and soil condition will be carried out to survey the effective helix area under a given soil condition for the bearing capacity of helical steel piles.

보조 동력장치용 서보밸브 유효 오리피스 면적의 칼만필터 추정 (Kalman Filter Estimation of the Servo Valve Effective Orifice Area for a Auxiliary Power Unit)

  • Flow rate is one of the important variables for precise motion control and detection of the faults and fluid loss in many hydraulic components and systems. But in many cases, it is not easy to measure it directly. The orifice area of a servo valve by which the fluid flows is one of key factors to monitor the flow rate. In this paper, we have constructed an estimation algorithm for the effective orifice area by using the model of a servo valve cylinder control system and Kalman filter algorithm. Without geometry information about the servo valve, it is shown that the effective orifice area can be estimated by using only displacement and pressure data corrupted with noise. And the effect of the biased sensor data and system parameter errors on the estimation results are discussed. The paper reveals that sensor calibration is important in accurate estimation and plausible parameter data such as oil bulk modulus and actuator volume are acceptable for the estimation without any error. The estimation algorithm can be used as an useful tool for detecting leakage, monitoring malfunction and/or degradation of the system performance.
