EcoBlog: 4d Spatial Framework for Ecological Virtual Community (EcoBlog: 생태학적 가상 커뮤니티 구현을 위한 4 차원 공간 프레임워크)

  • Although people's anxiety about the environmental problem has been getting higher, they are not provided good quality of knowledge about the environment. Based on this situation, Ecoblog can be a new type of online community to educate the public in ecological knowledge. Especially, Ecoblog can be utilized as a method of "preventive education", and it will contribute to reduce great amounts of environmental budget to restore contaminated environment to previous condition. Ecoblog also utilizes the concept of blog which user can create and append their site with chosen themes. A weblog or a blog is a non-commercial webpage regularly updated through the use of a blogging software which allows the user to "publish" kinds of amalgamations of text and graphics to the page as posts. The technology offered in Ecoblog is utilizing the concept of 4D place and game metaphor in order to provide users the sense of participation, interaction and immersion among them and the growing community. Thus, it requires applying the CAAD technology by implementing semantically well-defined building data model as a core database to create a 4D virtual community. This research focuses on defining a 4d spatial framework suitable for developing an online ecological community. Through our study, the state-of-the-art of online community has been studied at the first step. Second, the scenario of using EcoBlog described with content, visualization and navigation are defined based on the critical features derived at the first step. Finally, a 4d spatial framework composed of semantic building data model, content and rule database is constructed to propose factors that are necessary to establish an ecological virtual community. In conclusion, our framework could enhance the comprehension and interaction between users and virtual buildings in the ecological community by integrating the concept of game design, 4D CAD and semantic data model. Such framework can be applied to any online community for an educational purpose.

A Survey on Recognition of School Environment Hygiene Purification Zones (학교환경위생정화구역에 관한 인지도 조사 연구)

  • Purpose: The present study purposed to investigate the current state of harmful business places around schools and to survey and analyze how much middle school students know about school environment hygiene purification zones, which have not been much effective. Methods: In addition, this study clarified the problem of harmful environment around schools by inquiring into students' value and perception on worsening harmful environment around schools and provided basic materials necessary for making policies on school education and the protection of educational environment. For these purposes, we conducted a questionnaire survey of 1,000 middle school students in Gyeonggi-do on their perception on harmful environment around their schools, and drew conclusions as follows. Result: Students' knowledge about the School Health Act was low, and they generally thought that the law does not play its role substantially and efficiently in purifying and regulating harmful environment and regulations are superficial and temporary. To the question of whether harmful businesses observe laws for purifying environment around schools, most of the students replied negatively. In actuality, as most of harmful businesses running at school environment hygiene purification zones are stationeries with game rooms, comic book stores, PC rooms, etc., which are highly accessible to students, they become serious problems in school environment. Conclusion: As it is required to make continuous and systematic surveys and researches on the school environment hygiene purification zones, we need to manage school environment efficiently through cooperation among the government, education offices and individual schools.

ADHD Simple Examination Using an OSGi Base USB Terminal System (OSGi 기반 USB 단말기 시스템을 이용한 ADHD 간편검사)

  • Recently, the ubiquitous is handled by maximum topic. New knowledge information and ubiquitous computing evolution have promoted new paradigm transfer and grand change. Also, need technology as powerful engineering approached fairly system and educational guidance side examination necessarily to overcome u-Learning base situation and studying obstacle situations. This treatise embodied handiness examination about attention shortage and excess obstacle (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, low ADHD) who must solve so as to be square and level being increase trend in primary school using USB (Universal Serial Bus) terminal system that allow fetters to OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative). That OSGi base USB terminal system is easy preservation of information, safety of network, cost-cutting and maintenance by various ubiquitous system that server that load many USB terminals and OSGi uses an USB bus of high speed and construct network, there is advantage of concentration elevation and so on of week and ADHD handled in this treatise because early diagnosis and treatment are serious. The confirmed system application that can supplement paper and pens examination's shortcoming and could solve examination's problem which use computer, and help in student guidance through ADHD simpleexamination who utilize OSGi base USB terminal system. Is available by game system that system for human nature examination or intelligence test and general exam explaining and level studying, order style question investigation program, studying system for disabled person, majority that enforce in public in school this study finding does together.
