An Investigation of Cloud Computing and E-Learning for Educational Advancement

  • Advances in technology have given educators a tool to empower them to assist with developing the best possible human resources. Teachers at universities prefer to use more modern technological advances to help them educate their students. This opens up a necessity to research the capabilities of cloud-based learning services so that educational solutions can be found among the available options. Based on that, this essay looks at models and levels of deployment for the e-learning cloud architecture in the education system. A project involving educators explores whether gement Systems (LMS) can function well in a collaborative remote learning environment. The study was performed on how Blackboard was being used by a public institution and included research on cloud computing. This test examined how Blackboard Learn performs as a teaching tool and featured 60 participants. It is evident from the completed research that computers are beneficial to student education, especially in improving how schools administer lessons. Convenient tools for processing educational content are included as well as effective organizational strategies for educational processes and better ways to monitor and manage knowledge. In addition, this project's conclusions help highlight the advantages of rolling out cloud-based e-learning in higher educational institutions, which are responsible for creating the integrated educational product. The study showed that a shift to cloud computing can bring progress to educational material and substantial improvement to student academic outcomes, which is related to the increased use of better learning tools and methods.

교육프로그램 분석을 통한 비형식 과학교육기관의 교육적 역할 제고: 서대문자연사박물관을 중심으로 (Research on the Educational Role of Informal Educational Institution Based on the Analysis of the Educational Programs - A Case Study of the Seodaemun Museum of National History)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 비형식 과학교육기관인 자연사 박물관의 교육프로그램을 분석하여 과학 교육의 조력자로서 비형식 과학교육기관 교육프로그램의 교육적 역할을 제고하는 것이다. 따라서, 연구 대상 기관으로 공립 자연사박물관으로서 최근 6년간 가장 많은 수강생을 유치했으며 매년 60여 개의 다양한 프로그램을 운영하여 안정적으로 교육프로그램이 운영되고 있는 서울특별시 서대문구 소재의 서대문 자연사박물관을 선정하여 조사하였다. 국가수준 교육과정과 비교가 가능한 3~6학년 대상의 교육프로그램 교재 32권을 대상으로 하였다. 이 연구에 사용된 교육프로그램 내용 분석틀은 비형식 교육기관 중의 하나인 영재교육원에서 운영되는 교육프로그램의 지면 평가틀을 바탕으로 2007 개정 교육과정 과학과 목표와 관련된 과학 지식, 과학 탐구, 창의적 사고와 관련된 부분을 중심으로 하여 재구성하였으며, 과학교육 전문가 2인 및 현장 전문가 3인에게 검토 받아 수정 보완하여 최종안을 개발하였다. 1차 평가로 교재를 분석한 후, 2차 평가로는 서대문자연사박물관의 수업 중 표본을 추출해 촬영하여 수업 장면을 분석하였다. 그 후 1차 평가와 2차 평가의 결과를 비교하여 신뢰도를 검토하고 교재를 통한 프로그램 분석으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 연구의 제한점을 보완하였다. 연구 결과, 현재 비형식 과학교육기관에서 운영되는 교육프로그램의 교재에는 탐구 능력과 창의성을 증진시키기 위한 활동이나 발문이 많이 포함되지 않았다. 이러한 연구 결과로 볼 때, 비형식 과학교육기관 교육프로그램 개발 시 수업의 내실을 기하기 위해 활동 내용, 수업 방식, 발문 등이 포함된 프로그램 지도안이 개발될 필요가 있다. 또한 피드백 개선을 위한 중장기 프로그램 개발, 창의적 사고를 키울 수 있도록 창의 기법 등을 활용한 교재 개발 등이 필요하다.

가상훈련 콘텐츠 보급기관 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement Plan of a Virtual Training Content Supply Institution)

  • 본 연구는 K대학교 온라인평생교육원이 보급하는 가상훈련 콘텐츠를 운영하는 기관의 교육형태, 교육현황을 파악하고 가상훈련 콘텐츠 보급기관의 역할 및 개선방안 등을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2020년 K대학교 온라인평생교육원이 보급한 가상훈련 콘텐츠를 운영하는 56개 기관을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 최종 응답한 44개 기관의 설문을 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가상훈련 운영기관의 교육형태는 가상훈련 교육매체는 PC를 활용, 활용한 콘텐츠 과정은 총 52과정, 교육형태는 이론+가상훈련 유형, 실습기간은 1-2주 기간을 가장 많이 적용하고 있다고 응답했다. 또한 교육현황을 살펴보니 가상훈련 대상은 주로 학생이며, 주로 기관 자체적으로 모집을 하며 운영규모는 1-20명, 개설 과정 수는 1-3개 정도, 담당 교·강사 수는 1-3명 정도라는 응답이 가장 많았다. 둘째, 가상훈련 콘텐츠 보급기관의 역할로 다양한 가상훈련 콘텐츠 개발과 가상훈련 교육과정 적용 및 활용방법 제시, 가상훈련 콘텐츠 질 제고 등이 필요하다고 응답하였다. 셋째, 가상훈련 콘텐츠 보급기관의 개선방안으로 가상훈련 콘텐츠 실무능력 연계 강화, 교·강사의 가상훈련 콘텐츠 활용교육, 다양한 가상훈련 콘텐츠 연계방안 제시, 가상훈련 콘텐츠 품질 관리 강화 등을 요구했다. 이에 본 연구는 가상훈련 콘텐츠 운영기관의 전반적 운영현황과 실태를 파악하고 공공 가상훈련 보급기관의 역할 정립 및 개선방안을 살펴보았다는데 의의가 있다.

  • The society changes very fast from the extended family system to the nuclear family system, as increasing a one-child family for the low birth-rate. Thus, it causes that the education, having been performed inside of the family group, is performed outside of the family nowadays such as an infant educational institution. Fundamentally, the space of educating infants must be considered their behavior and meet their needs. For infants, playing is not only studying, but also is related to physical, intellectual and emotional development. Therefore infants in a qualifiedly good playing environment, are easy to focus on their playing. But, variety of playing activities can help improve infants' development physically, socially, emotionally, linguistically and intellectually. So far, an infant educational institution has provided a general education than a special educationally considering their age and status of a development. However, it is necessary to provide an integrated and well-organized place for each infant because their playing is a studying and education that will be based of individuals' character when they are grown up. The objective of this thesis is to study on the new transition space for infants of their physical activities. For this study, at first, it is important to understand what are the points of well-built kindergarten around the world. They have the flexible space in common. The transition(flexible) space will be a solution for space for infants' development.

가상대학 학사지원을 위한 XML 데이터베이스 구축과 메신저 관련 연구 (XML Database Setup & Messenger Connection Research for Cyber University Supporting)

  • 본 논문은 학교 내에 구축된 교내 망을 이용하여 구축된 인트라넷 환경에서 구축되어 있는 XML DB의 정보를 이용하는 학교의 구성원인 교수와 학생들이 좀더 쉽게 인트라넷에 구축되어 있는 정보를 확인하고 활용할 수 있는 메신저를 만들어 사용자 본인이 소속된 집단의 구성원의 정보를 확인할 수 있도록 하고 자신이 소속된 그룹 안에서 사용자가 선택한 범위의 인원들을 자동으로 친구로 등록 하여 사용자가 일일이 친구를 추가하는 불편함을 줄여주고 인트라넷의 기능과 기타 추가 기능들을 통해 사용자의 인트라넷의 이용의 편의성을 제공하기 위한 연구이다. 특히 본논문에서는 XML 표준데이타를 학사 데이타베이스에 해당하는 오라클에 JDBC를 이용하여 학생의 데이타를 입력 Form을 통하여 저장한다. 그리고 SQL질의를 통해 web client에서 web server의 데이타베이스에 저장된 데이타를 검색 할 수 있다.

지역폐교 이용실태 및 친환경계획개념 적용사례 조사연구 (A Study on the Utilization of Regional Closed Schools applied Ecological Concept)

  • Many closed schools of about more 3,000(2006 year) have occurred all over the country according to governmental policy of 1982. These closed schools were sold or rent to institution, local government, and a private, and are used by various usage such as novitiate, institution, educational facility, art creation facilities, warehouse, and factory. But, unimproved closed school facilities are still reaching for about 450. Among practical use example of such closed school, alternative educational facility, practice facilities, art creation facilities etc. with closed schools which have general surrounding natural landscape and environment uses well preserved were applied consciousness and the practice about environmental problem to ecological concept. Also, a lot of discussions about ecological concept and study for desirable solutions about practical use of closed schools example have been achieved. However, it is hard to find various ecological practical use examples at filed. In such background, this research wishes to investigate changing space and facilities variously and its usage which is applied ecological concept with regional closed schools.

Effectiveness of some conventional seismic retrofitting techniques for bare and infilled R/C frames

  • The effectiveness of a technique for the repair of reinforced concrete members in combination with a technique for the repair of masonry walls of infilled frames, damaged due to cyclic loading, is experimentally investigated. Three single - story, one - bay, 1/3 - scale frame specimens are tested under cyclic horizontal loading, up to a drift level of 4%. One bare frame and two infilled frames with weak and strong infills, respectively, have been tasted. Specimens have spirals as shear reinforcement. The applied repair technique is mainly based on the use of thin epoxy resin infused under pressure into the crack system of the damaged RC joint bodies, the use of a polymer modified cement mortar with or without a fiberglass reinforcing mesh for the damaged infill masonry walls and the use of CFRP plates to the surfaces of the damaged structural RC members, as external reinforcement. Specimens after repair, were retested in the same way. Conclusions concerning the effectiveness of the applied repair technique, based on maximum cycles load, loading stiffness, and hysteretic energy absorption capabilities of the tested specimens, are drawn and commented upon.

약학대학생대상 코로나바이러스감염증-19 예방접종 약료활동 교육계몽을 위한 국제협력 (Virtual Global Collaboration to Advocate Students for Pharmacy Immunizations during Coronavirus Disease-19)

  • Background: It was to describe collaborative educational efforts under Coronavirus disease 2019 period to advocate pharmacy-based immunization delivery and meet unmet needs of partnership institution using virtual learning platforms. Methods: A partnership was established among three pharmacy schools from two countries. The class content included the history of pharmacy immunization, pharmacists' roles and contribution to public health of the USA. The class also reviewed the value of pharmacists as frontline healthcare workers to foster student insights and the scope of pharmacy. The virtual class featured an interactive video simulation and small breakroom discussion besides a lecture. Results: Participants indicated that public accessibility to pharmacy and six-year education system in South Korea as advantages. However, legislative restrictions, pharmacist burden, and interprofessional disagreements were expressed as barriers to introduce the pharmacist immunization. Conclusion: A virtual learning platform was used to advocate for pharmacy-based immunization and fulfilled an unmet educational gap at a partnership institution.

Re-Engineering of Educational Contexts in the Digital Transformation of Socio-Economic Interactions of Society

  • The article examines the key constants of reengineering the modern educational cluster, associated with the processes of digital transformation of all spheres of modern socio-cultural space. The first constant is the strategic rethinking of the educational process organization and awareness of the new roles of all participants (tutors, applicants, controlling elements, etc.). The other constant involves practical re-design of the system of educational services, which consists in the reorientation from the traditional model of education functioning for society to the implementation of the educational format in the form of new projects (structural, target, business). Consequently, the purpose of the study is to highlight the attitudes relevant to the modern realities of information and technological support of education in the context of socio-economic interactions of society. The criteria for the reengineering of educational concepts and the structural organization of the educational sphere are defined. The modern world is going through a period of complete digital transformation of all spheres of public activity. The scientific intelligence notes that education is no exception in these processes, as the dependence of educational realities on information and computer technologies is now noted. The COVID-19 pandemic, for all its tragedy, was also a kind of trigger, clearly marking the new components that have become defined in the organization of the educational process. The conclusion is made that the use of digital technologies in the organization of the educational institution or in the organization of the educational process has become not an auxiliary element, but a dominant factor. Mobility, dynamism, interdisciplinarity, synergy - all these aspects are relevant for socio-economic interactions of society and should be provided by educational programs. The results of the study can be used in the reorganization processes of educational institutions and institutions. Further research requires aspects of the analysis of the foreign experience of reengineering in education, carried out taking into account digital transformations of modern sociocultural space.

창의력 계발을 위한 학습게임의 프로토타입 제시 (Prototype of Educational Game for Development of Creativity)

  • 오늘날 지식정보화 사회로 변화하면서 창의성의 중요성이 더욱 강조됨에 따라 각 교육기관의 창의력 교육이 중시되고는 있으나, 대부분 교과목과 연계된 진학교육에 치중한 지능 계발에 더욱 초점이 맞춰져 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문은 학습자의 자발적인 흥미와 참여를 통한 창의력 향상 및 종합적인 문제해결능력을 키울 수 있는 학습게임 개발의 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 그 결과 선행연구인 창의력의 개념과 다중지능 이론을 바탕으로 한 창의력 계발을 위한 학습설계를 토대로 하여 학습게임의 재미요소 및 스토리텔링의 구성요소를 도출하였고, 이에 따라 게임구조도를 설계한 후 학습게임의 프로토타입 제작을 위한 스토리보드와 인터페이스 설계 및 그래픽 요소를 개발 사례로 제시하였다.
