Many immersion programs have been established and managed throughout Korea in recent years in schools, English villages and camps. Research on the effects of various programs has been reported with focus on the program types or the benefits and learning outcomes for the participants. The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of participation at English camp as a teaching assistant by comparing some factors such as competence, English abilities, and connection to current studies/career before and after camp experience. The results show that all 17 competence rates rose with 'crisis management' showing prominent change. Also, the camp experience provides opportunity for improving English Test scores, conversational skills, teaching skills, and mostly language confidence. Lastly, the camp helped in setting career goals and was helpful in the preparation process of job seeking. Most of the subjects, the teaching assistants at camp, replied that the impact of camp experience is useful in current studies/career. In conclusion, the experience as camp teaching assistant is valuable in many aspects.

This study examined the effects of adults' participation motives for lifelong learning, and satisfaction and learning outcomes on social capital formation. The subjects were 354 adult learners, who were over 20 years of age. They had a lifelong learning experience in various lifelong education institutes and facilities located in the D provincial areas. The statistical methods of this study were correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and path analysis. The results showed that the adults' participation motives for lifelong learning had positive effects on the social capital formation, and it had effects on the satisfaction and learning outcomes. Adult learners' satisfaction and learning outcomes had positive effects on the social capital formation. In addition, there were mediating effects between adult learners' participation motives and social capital formation. This study is meaningful for the development of lifelong learning by providing theoretical and practical implications.
The aim of this study was to develop a model for teaching-teaming by applying Ubiquitous at a learning experience field, in which connect characteristics of both ubiquitous application learning and experience teaming, making use of them. A literature survey of concepts was conducted, with the main areas to find out relationships between ubiquitous application learning and experience learning. Experience learning by applying ubiquitous learning methods maximizes its efficiency of experience learning in considering ubiquitous learning methods's characteristics of dynamic, interaction, sharing. Also it makes communications through positive participation and active interaction, and leads to a process of internal examination. The research data suggests that critical factors of experiencing learning applying ubiquitous are acquiring information and memory, information integration and exquisiteness, emotional and social activity, producing activity, help activity.

Purpose:This study aims to understand and explore the subjective experiences of patient safety education among health care professionals in developing a patient safety curriculum in South Korea. Methods: A qualitative descriptive study was conducted through two focus group interviews in the period October-December 2018. Eleven participants who underwent patient safety education participated in each session. All interviews were recorded and transcribed as spoken, and qualitative content analysis was used to identify categories of discussion depicting participants' subjective experience with patient safety education. Results: A total of three categories and seven themes were identified out of 77 units of analysis. Topics were identified in the dimensions of a patient safety curriculum, as follows: (1) activities for patient safety; (2) principle of patient safety (five rights, ethics, patient participation) and patient participation; (3) leadership, teamwork, and communication; and (4) reporting and learning system for patient safety events. In the dimension of methods, (5) case and evidence-based education and (6) multidisciplinary and small group teaching were identified. Finally, in the dimension of the system, (7) policies for patient safety education were identified. Conclusion: Our findings indicate that patient safety education is a significant area for health care professionals. Health care professionals suggested that a systematic patient safety curriculum would improve their knowledge and attitude toward patient safety. Moreover, it enables them to better construct a safety environment in a hospital.
University teacher education programs have sought for ways of how to improve student teaching in order to supply mathematics teachers with practical theory to achieve the goals of the current educational reform in school mathematics. In this context, the purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of student teachers' teaching experience in the after-school mathematics programs and the ways of how to develop the after-school learning programs as an effective site for learning to teach based on the inquiry into student teachers' own teaching experience. For the purpose, data were collected through the interviews with the student teachers who had taught after-school mathematics class. In addition, data were collected through survey, class observation, and seminal meetings with the student teachers in order to supplement the findings from the interview analysis. Data analysis focused on the student teachers' experience with teaching in after-school mathematics classes, that is, what and how they had learned as teachers, what kinds of difficulties they encountered in their teaching and supports that they expect to improve their learning through teaching. The analysis shows that the teaching experience in the after-school programs had positively contributed to their development as future mathematics teachers. Specifically, the after-school programs provide the site for learning through teaching at the early stage of teacher education program. The after-school programs provided the students teachers for the opportunity to participate peripherally in educational practice of school. Through the participation, the student teachers developed positive attitudes toward teaching career and became to have more solid ideas about how to teach mathematics. Based on the analysis, this research provides following suggestions concerning how to improve student teaching. First, it is necessary to provide student teachers to participate into the practice of teaching at the early stage of teacher education programs. Second, it is important to give students teacher opportunity to participate in teaching at peripheral and legitimate positions. Finally, it is necessary to construct mentoring networks to support student teachers to move from a peripheral position toward a center of teaching practice.
This study was aimed to investigate the actual condition of the performance of the occupational health nursing services, and to analyze a main cause which affects on the execution of its duties for occupational health nurses in occupational group health service. It had been surveyed by responsed data from the 105 respondents out of 180 persons. The results were as follows : 1. In performance of occupational health nursing services by the number of assigned plant, participation rate of health examination tended to significantly increase with decreasing the number of assigned and it was observed that the visiting rate of every month was also significantly higher on touring inspection of work plant, recommendation of facility improvement for work environment, understanding the modification of manufacturing process, and inspection of welfare and sanitation facilities. 2. While they executed their nursing services according to duration of service, the more, their duration of service was, the higher, participation rate of health examination, health check in returning to work for injured workers, talk with other health managers on promoting welfare, service evaluation for a year plan, record of health statistic, and experience of first aid service were. And it was found out that the visiting rate of every month was also significantly higher on touring inspection of work plant. 3. In regard to occupational health nursing services by age, the participation rate of health examination and the experience of first aid service were significantly higher as the age increased. And also the visiting rate of every month was significantly higher on touring inspection of work plant, compared with young ones. 4. In performance of occupational health nursing services by the time required visiting plant, The shorter, the time required visiting plant was, the higher, the visiting rate of every month was, on time of health consultation for diseased workers, and inspection of welfare and sanitation facilities. 5. The subjects of health education were mostly liver disease and occupational hearing loss and video tape was used mostly in health education, monthly health education was the highest in 1-3 times(74.5%) and its duration was the highest in about 60 minutes(33.3%). 6. Vaccination of hepatitis among the specific health services was the highest accounting for 64.7%.

The study aims to find out the influence factors to intention of re-participation and intention of recommendation to overseas Taekwondo teaching experience. To accomplish this purpose, the subjects of this study consist of 316 people who have experienced Taekwondo teaching in overseas within the last five years. Descriptive analysis, one-way ANOVA, and hierarchical regression analysis were used to analyze data. 1) there was a significant difference in the intention of re-participation and intention of recommendation to overseas Taekwondo teaching experience according to the family income level, the period of experience, the satisfaction of curriculum, and the satisfaction of the field. 2) activity factors and interpersonal factors had an effect on intention of re-participation and intention of recommendation to overseas Taekwondo teaching experience more than personal factors. If this is reflected in the reality, students who majoring in Taekwondo will be able to have a higher quality overseas experience, which will ultimately contribute to the expansion of the job market and further development of Taekwondo internationalization.

Objectives : In order to study the standardization of Qi-gong, and the important spread of education in Qi-gong, we investigated to the cognition of Qi-gong. Method : The descriptive investigation was accomplished to examine the level about the standardization of Qi-gong and the propensity with the Qi-gong training specialist, Qi-gong experience people and non-experience people on a national scale. The data of 572 question papers (140 specialists, 132 Qi-gong experience people, 300 non experience people) were analyzed. The period of the data collection was from Jun, 1, 2009 to Jun, 30, 2009. Result : The motives of Qi-gong participation were Qi-gong training and the individual health. The merit of Qi-gong was beneficial to health. The difficulties of Qi-gong training were the serial motion and doing training alone. And in order to popularize Qi-gong, the motion must simple and the spread of Qi-gong need. The reason of non-participation was the deficiency of the contact opportunity and the reason of participation was beneficial to health. In the future, the national policy for the activation of Qi-gong was the spread of the national exercise through the standardization of Qi-gong. Qi-gong was used in the side of the prevention and the principle of Qi-gong need the modern reinterpretation. And the effect of Qi-gong was more effective in musculoskeletal disease and the valuable part of Qi-gong was the health-longevity. Conclusion : With this, in order to develop the value of Qi-gong, the national support policy will be necessary. And the standardization of Qi-gong motion and program, the development of easy exercise, the educational prevalance, and publicity campaign will be necessary.
This study conducted a survey on 163 parents in Korea to investigate their interest in plants, experience in growing plants, and perception on horticultural activity programs (HAP) for their children. Most children (80.4%) of the respondents had experience participating in HAPs, and most of their experience occurred during school hours in preschool educational institutions more than once a month (60.3%). The more interest in plants and experience in growing plants the parents had, the more experience the preschoolers had in participating in HAPs, which implies that the experience of the parents with plants affected their children's participation in HAPs. Parents' most preferred location of HAPs was preschool educational institutions, and most preferred time was school hours with a frequency of more than once a week (57.1%), which is more frequent than the current status of HAPs in preschool educational institutions. Parents also responded that the most preferred instructors of HAP has are those with a professional background in horticulture. Among the activities in HAP for preschoolers, parents most preferred cooking (M = 4.05) activity, and they did not dislike any of the activities. They responded that the facilities for HAP needed to be improved to make HAP more active in preschool educational institutions. Overall, based on the current results, developing suitable HAPs and facilities for preschoolers, fostering professional HAP instructors, and educating parents about horticulture would enhance HAPs in preschool educational institutions, thus providing preschoolers with many benefits of HAPs.
