The purpose of this study was to develop a science gifted education program as a strategy for modulating gifted children's overexcitabilities and to examine the effect of such program on task commitment and creative personality. The results of this study were as follows. First, science gifted education program which modulated gifted children's overexcitabilities showed significant effect on the improvement of task commitment. Looking at sub domains, significant results were obtained at self-regulation. Second, science gifted education program which modulated gifted children's overexcitabilities showed significant effect on the improvement of creative personality. Looking at sub domains, significant results were obtained at the self-conviction and humors. Third, students who experienced the classes showed affirmative responses that the new teaching method was interesting and helpful. Looking at the above results, science gifted education program which modulated gifted children's overexcitabilities can be considered as effective for improving task commitment and creative personality of elementary scientific gifted students.

The purpose of this study is to understand the behavioral characteristics of gifted children at Mathematics. In order to do this, we observed 4 gifted children at mathematics as participants who are participating in education program of science education center for gifted youths in some university, and we collected related materials. As a result of analyzing materials, we found the followings: First, although the gifted children are self-confident of their mathematical talent, they don't affirm easily that they have the gifted nature. Second, the gifted children have various fields of interest. Especially, they read a mount of books. Third, they are motivating for themselves and have good moral judgment.

This study tries to address several problems embedded in the training of English teachers for gifted programs. With a critical analysis of current English Education and English teacher training, the researcher points out some possible problems in English Education and English teacher training in South Korea. The researcher also points out possible problems in teaching English for Gifted Children. Based on the given problems, the researcher accordingly suggests available solution to English Education for gifted Children, and also better ways of English teacher training for gifted programs. The researcher suggests bilingual, production-based and convergence-based English education for gifted children and those English teachers for gifted children.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the strength and weakness of the intelligences appeared by the profile of the multiple intelligences of gifted children in mathematics. The subjects of this study were 80 students from D-Education Center for Gifted Children in Korea. Their multiple intelligences were measured by the self-scaling test of Korean-Multiple Intelligence Development Assessment Scale, in July 2006. The conclusions of this study are as follows: First, the strengths of multiple intelligences of the gifted children in mathematics are in logical-mathematical intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence and interpersonal intelligence. And, the weakness of multiple intelligences of the gifted in elementary mathematics is in bodily-kinesthetic intelligence. Second, formal educational curriculum of the gifted in elementary mathematics is required which can stimulate all kinds of intelligences.

The present study dealt with the emotional characteristics, emotional development of gifted children and emphasized the emotional intelligence as the meta-ability for the development of creativity and intellectual abilities. The emotional vulnerability of gifted children was also hscussed with endogenous and exogeneous problems, internal dyssynchrony, and social context. To find out the real chief problems the gifted children have, the contents of individual counselling with mothers of the gifted in KAGE were categorized based on the Lazarus' BASIC ID and DSM-IV dagnosis. Total 128 cases were analyzed. Among them, 61 cases were from elementary schoolers, however, percentile data showed the most, 34% of infant class aged 30 months - 48 months. Usually, the number of counselling in each person was 1, but 17 cases were done more than 3 times. And, 8 cases had experiences to visit the other counseling center or neuropsychiatric clinic. The categories of chief problems were 10: information about gifted program, behavior, affect, sensation, school and cognitive functions, imagery and self concept, interpersonal relationship, personality, mental illness, and others. Many problems in each category were listed. Finally, the present study suggested the several guidance plan possibly useful in the gifted education center for the purpose of prevention of emotional difficulties and support for the mental health, including professional personnel, child counselling, emotional education, and parent counseling & education.

While most previous studies have developed educational programs for science gifted children and have analyzed the differences between science gifted children and ordinary children using quantitative research methods, few have investigated the differences among the science gifted, especially in terms of the scientific thinking process. The present study was conducted to explore the thinking characteristics of the elementary science gifted according to the three scientific thinking process types during the scientific problem solving process. The study resulted in the collected of quantitative and qualitative data through tests and an interview with questions and scientific problems which required the use of one of the three scientific thinking processes. Ten elementary science gifted children served as interviewees. Two types as an opistemological basis for solving the problems are revealed on inductive thinking problems. Three types are on abductive thinking, and Three or Four types are on deductive. The results are expected to have an influence on the teaching and the evaluation of the elementary science gifted.

In this study concerns of parents of gifted children were analyzed. More specifically, this study attempted to classify concerns of parents of gifted children into categories and prioritize concerns in terms of frequency parent indicated. Fifty-two parents whose children are gifted participated in this study and completed open-ended questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed using content analysis and frequency analysis. The results of this study revealed that concerns of parents of gifted children were classified into six categories and sixteen subcategories, and personal trait among six categories was most frequently indicated by parents. The implications of these results for educational and counseling practice were discussed with several limitations of this research and suggestions for future research were made.

Related with the mathematics gifted children the situation of different case studies is the research which is limited in mathematics problem solving process of the most mathematics gifted children. For a what kind of interest in the mathematics gifted children, the research leads the family or general class, from the gifted children education center it has it considers encouragement, map and to give a help to good mathematics gifted children education activation, it does. It will reach and to respect with afterwards it set a same three research problem. First, before entering into the mathematics gifted children education center, are the mathematics gifted children what kind of quality? Second, Are the mathematics gifted children what kind of quality for general school hour? Third, Are the mathematics gifted children what kind of quality after dismissal of a class after hour? Being selected in the hazard gifted children education center which solves an up research problem, simple characteristic and approach ease characteristic, by the condition of the permission possibility back it selected 2 person gifted children school boxes which are coming and going. And, before entering into these mathematics gifted children education center, studying life from the general school, life after dismissal of a class it will extend at 1 years, various recording it will ask and it collected direct observation and interview it led against their quality it analyzed. It shared the result which it analyzes with emotional quality, studying conduct qualities, general qualities of the mathematics gifted children and qualities of mathematics gifted children parents. Studies level of the mathematics gifted children parents high facility when them are young from, the interest and helping out which it has were considerable, to advance with the direction where in order for always with great disaster them are proper the map it did. In general quality of the mathematics gifted children from young age the ability which finds a language and a possibility concept superiorly the ability which expresses the thought of oneself logically was superior, the competitive spirit was high, it liked it came reading, a leader role, to reveal a deepening school with the fact that it comes and goes. Also it will burn with their studying conduct quality and it will roll and it did deeply and it arranged knot eagerly, accomplishing which is superior from the field which is various it showed, the originality was superior, the subject attachment power was high quite, oneself it studies it has a devotion the possibility of knowing it was. And, the social characteristic of the friends and is good with their emotional quality and it does there is own reflection and an encouragement at any time and also a confidence, but just as good as the stress also it receives the possibility of knowing it was to him.

The researcher conducts the following research to correctly identify the gifted children of science information. First, the researcher makes sufficient theoretic research on gifted children for the sake of definition and identification of the gifted children of information science, and reconstructed the identification principles, factors and procedures of the gifted children of information science on the basis of those of the gifted children of math and science the theories of a number of scholars and presented new methods of identifying new gifted children of information science. Second, the researcher set the identification procedures of the gifted children of information science and the relevant content and conducted the identification of gifted children through the observation and evaluation of sixth graders through three stages. Third, the researcher compares and analyzed the selected gifted children based on the identification procedures and ordinary groups of students excellent in math and science in terms of task achievement and looked into validity.

We have found out that the value of multimedia production from this points of view that the elementary information gifted children is still in a development stage and the goal of the gifted program is development of creative problem solving ability. So, the following study suggests multimedia production education as an alternative plan to the current education of elementary Information gifted children which is becoming problematic. Its goal is to produce an educational system which included process-product model which is one of the educational program for gifted children. Especially, an aspect in technical education, common skill of multimedia software and skill of product was tried in due consideration of the property of information gifted children, it was applied for information gifted education institute by a form of remote-education and weekend education. Through this study, multimedia production education was proposed for elementary school IT genius education. By incorporating gifted education model, we tried to work out IT genius education from the gifted program's point of view.
