저온 환경하에서의 혼화재 종류 및 대체율에 따른 콘크리트의 강도발현특성에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Property of Strength for kinds and Replacement ratio of Admixture under Low Temperature)

  • Recently, to consider financial and constructive aspect, usage of Admixture, like Blast- Furnace Slag and Fly-Ash, are increased. These mineral admixtures, a by-product of steel industry, have many advantage, to reduce the heat of hydration, increase in ultimate strength, improve workability and etc. But it also reduces early-age strength, so it is prevented from using of Blast-Furnace Slag at cold-weather-concrete. In this study, for the purpose of increasing usage of mineral admixtures, like Blast-Furnace Slag and Fly ash, it is investigated the strength properties of concrete subjected to under low temperature According to this study, if early curing is carried out before having frost damage, the strength of concrete, subjected to frost damage, is recovered. And to consider increasing effect of strength, it is more effective to use of mineral admixtures, especially to use blast furance slag.

한중콘크리트 시공시 표면 단열재 변화에 따른 콘크리트의 온도이력 특성 (The Properties of Temperature History of Concrete with Surface Insulating Material in Cold Weather Concreting)

  • This study investigate the hydration heat history with variation of surface insulating material in cold weather concreting. According to the results, the temperature of concrete lowers below zero in 24hours, so early frost damage occurs in the case of exposure and 1 fold bubble sheet, but the lowest temperature keeps above zero, so a adiabatic effect is very favorable in the case of double bubble sheet and 부직포. Compressive strength of core specimen at 7 and 28 days is highest In the case of double bubble sheet and 부직포. But, considering convenience of construction and economical efficiency, it is thought that the most effective surface insulating material is 1 fold bubble sheet +blanket.

  • 고로슬래그를 다량으로 혼입한 콘크리트를 동절기에 시공할 경우에는 배합에 따라서 응결과 경화가 현저히 지연되어 초기동해를 받을 위험성이 높다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 동절기에 고로슬래그를 다량으로 혼입한 콘크리트가 재령 초기에 동결을 받은 경우를 상정하여 초기동해가 콘크리트의 압축강도와 동결융해 저항성에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 그 결과, 고로슬래그를 다량으로 혼입한 콘크리트는 초기동해를 받음으로써 압축강도와 동결융해 저항성 모두가 현저히 저하되고, 고로슬래그를 혼입하지 않은 일반콘크리트에 비해서 특히 동결융해 저항성이 크게 저하되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The aim of the research is evaluating the feasibility of inspection for early age frozen damage and for expansion of concrete under the various time periods of -20℃ temperature condition. When the concrete samples were exposed for 12 hours and 24 hours, the frozen depth of the concrete were 10 and 60 mm, respectively, under the wet conditions. From the experiment results of temperature and expansion, only surface area suffered frozen damage for 12 hours exposing conditions while entire area suffered frozen damage for 24 hours exposing conditions.

기상자료를 이용한 우리나라 한중콘크리트 적용기간과 초기동해 위험일 산정 (Determination of the Cold Weather Concreting Period and Early Frost Damage Risk Using Climate Data of Korea)

  • 본 연구는 기상자료를 토대로 우리나라 각 지역별 한중 콘크리트 적용기간을 KCI 및 AIJ 규정에 의한 방법으로 각각 산정하고 초기동해 위험일을 각 지역 및 온도 단계별로 제안하고자 하였다. 한중 콘크리트 적용기간의 경우 최근 5년간의 기상자료를 토대로 조사한 결과와 종전의 연구결과를 비교하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 국내 91개 지역의 한중 콘크리트 적용기간은 평균 98일로 조사되었고, 고위도 지역일수록, 산악 및 내륙지역일수록 적용기간은 증가되는 것으로 나타났으며, 종전 연구 대비 본 연구의 적용기간이 1~2일 정도 감소되는 것으로 나타났다. 지구온난화, 도시화 등의 영향으로 판단된다. 초기동해 위험일의 경우 $-5^{\circ}C$, $-2^{\circ}C$$0^{\circ}C$ 단계별로 시작일 및 종료일을 제시하였으며, 이를 토대로 $0^{\circ}C$ 이하 출현일 수, 출현일 및 평균 추위도를 제시하였다. 본 연구 범위에서 제시된 초기동해 위험일은 KCI에 의한 한중콘크리트 적용기간보다 길게 나타난 지역이 다수 존재하여 한중콘크리트 적용기간 이외에도 초기동해 위험이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, the temperature history and the strength development of concrete corresponded to various bubble sheets layer and curing temperature. Based on the results, In case of the test temperature of -5℃, concrete subject in the exposure condition, result in a frost damage at initial stage by a fall of below zero temperature. In case of the combination of PE film and non woven fabric was after 36 hour, and combination of bubble sheet over double, a tremendous insulating effect of bubble sheet over double is confirmed due to the temperature of concrete fall of below zero temperature after 60 hours. Meanwhile, regarding the -15℃ of temperature, special measure for insulation curing is necessary to secure stability against early frost damage because frost damage was not affected by the lapping thickness of bubble sheet subjected to severe cold weather condition.

  • Under this study, the characteristics of concrete intensity condition following the curing method under the extremely low temperature environment have been contemplated, and as a result, in the event of insulation + heat cable curing, the intensity and accumulated temperature accomplishment period is required for two times of requiring initial frost damage prevention than the case of heating + heat insulation curing method due to the insufficient calories supplied in general.

  • When fresh concrete is exposed to low temperature, the concrete may suffer frost damage due to freezing at early ages and strength development may be delayed. One of the solution methods to resolve these problems is to lower freezing temperature of concrete by the use of chemical admixture called Accelerators for Freeze Protection. In this study, it was the results of appling cold weather concrete using Accelerator for Freeze Protection in the Daewoo Trump world field. Before the application of the cold weather concrete using accelerator for freeze protection, we executed the some test in the laboratory and mock-up test in the field. We examined the manifestation of compressive strength complying with the amount of Accelerators for Freeze Protection and curing conditions, and then made a selection of most suitable amount of Accelerators for Freeze Protection.

  • In this study, with new office construction site of S Construction company as subject, to solve all the problems according to reduced hydration heat and temperature crack of mass concrete used mat foundation and placing time difference, low heat combination of coarse particle cement and fly-ash and setting time difference applied AE water reducing agent, and to prevent the early frost damage caused by low outdoor temperature, a heat insulation method using double bubble sheet was conducted. As a result, it was found that hydration heat and setting time difference was reduced by applying a low heat combination and setting time difference construction method, and that the high insulation capability of the double bubble sheet was able to not only prevent the early frost damage but also reduce temperature difference between the central part and the upper part of mass concrete.

The Effect of Heat Curing Methods on the Protection against Frost Damage at Early Age of the Concrete Under Extremely Cold Climate

  • This study aimed to examine whether heat curing methods of concrete subjected to $-10^{\circ}C$ could be effective by varying the combination of heating cable and surface heat insulations. Three different concrete specimens incorporating 30% fly ash with 50% W/B were fabricated to simulate wall, column and slab members with dimensions of $1600{\times}800{\times}200$ mm for slab, $800{\times}600{\times}200$ mm for wall and $800{\times}800{\times}800$ mm for column. For heat curing combinations, Type-1 specimens applied PE film for slab, plywood for wall and column curing. Type-2 specimens applied double layer bubble sheet (2LB) and heating coil for slab, and 50 mm styrofoam for wall and column curing. Type-3 specimen applied 2LB for slab, electrical heating mat for wall and column inside heating enclosure. The test results revealed that the temperature of Type 1 specimen dropped below $0^{\circ}C$ beginning at 48 hours after placement due to its poor heat insulating capability. Type 2 and 3 specimens maintained a temperature of around $5{\sim}10^{\circ}C$ after placement due to favorable heat insulating and thermal resistance.
