This short review article presents a current overview of existing publications and scientific results regarding liquid (ear) acupuncture. The injection of liquids into defined acupuncture points of the ear is not a method commonly used in the Western world. The term liquid acupuncture has different definitions, which makes understanding each definition and differentiating one from the other difficult. General terms like pharmacopuncture, homeosiniatry, and liquid acupuncture, which all describe the method of injecting different kinds of drugs into a defined body acupuncture point, are used. This article presents the history of liquid acupuncture, as well as the current scientific state of the art, from the point of view of two European researchers. Some articles are discussed and a few practical examples are presented.

As indicators of life quality have recently shown great improvement, alternative medicine is becoming a mainstream health care pattern, in which early stage medical examinations and treatments are usually preformed before diseases occur. In this context, the ear-acupuncture method is increasingly used these day as one of important alternative medicine treatments. In this paper, we performed an experiment of facial region color analysis with kidney ear acupuncture point irritation. For this, we collected facial image samples before and after kidney ear acupuncture point irritation under the same condition. From the samples, the change rates of K, L values of CMYK color system and Lab color system, respectively, on kidney related facial parts were extracted and analyzed to investigate kidney function improvement.

Objectives : The objectives of this study were to investigate the relationship between electrical detection of ear acupuncture points and musculoskeletal pain. Methods : 18 adults who have musculoskeletal pain without trauma factorsparticipated in this study. They answered the questionnaire and their ear acupuncture points were examined with electrical detectors. We analyzed the relationship between electrical detection of ear acupuncture points and musculoskeletal pain with concordance rate and validity. Results : Total concordance rates of the head region was 68.00%(questionnaire) 32.08%(investigation), that of vertebral region was 67.86%, 59.38%, that of both upper limbs was 86.67%, 39.69%, and that of both lower limbs was 50.00%, 23.46%. The true positive rate was 0.704, the true negative rate was 0.492, the false positive rate was 0.508, and the false negative rate was 0.296 in the validity test. In the head, two concordance rates of the temporal and occipital regions were relatively higher than those of the parietal and frontal regions. In the vertebral region, two concordance rates of the cervical and lumbar regions were relatively higher than those of the thoracic and sacrum regions. In the upper limb, two concordance rates of the shoulder and shoulder joints were relatively higher than those of the others. In the lower limb, concordance rates of investigation were relatively low at all areas. The right lower limb was relatively higher than the left in concordance rates of the questionnaire. Conclusions : The results suggest that electrical detection of ear acupuncture points can be used in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to show the rationale of point-selection on the methods of acupuncture and moxibustion in the Ear Section (in the Oehyeong Chapter) of the Dong Ui Bo Gam. Methods : First, We summarized the cause of each disease in the Ear Section (in the Oehyeong Chapter) of the Dong Ui Bo Gam. Then, We explained the rationale of acupoint-selection referring to the cause of disease, physiology of the Oriental medicine, other uses of each acupoints in the Dong Ui Bo Gam, character of each acupuncture points, flow of meridian pathways and specific acupoints etc. Results and Conclusions : Total 23 acupoints were used in the Ear Section (in the Oehyeong Chapter) of the Dong Ui Bo Gam. Most of acupoints were specific acupuncture points. But, some rationale of acupoint-selection were explained by the cause of disease, physiology of the Oriental medicine, other uses of each acupoints in the Dong Ui Bo Gam, flow of meridian pathways etc.

The auricular acupuncture therapy is stimulus treat method that acupuncts or moxibusts at the reaction blood vessel point of various diseases in the upper portion of ear. And this effects from the reaction blood vessel point of an ear to the meridian of whole body system through blood stream. The auricular acupuncture has cured and cared signs and symptoms of many diseases and pathologic problems. And this treatment heels abnormal reactions, nursing focuses so it was examined through literature review that nurses use many portions of the auricular acupuncture in their clinical cares of oriental medicine. This study was proved that the Mae-Chim acupuncture method among various methods of the auricular acupuncture is easy and simple so this method can be used by nurses. And the ear acupuncture site which controls diarrhea, insomnia, migraine, stress vomiting, dyspepsia, high fever, insufficient lactation, bowel dysfunction, menoxenia, anxiety, pruritus and can be found easily and is few the number of acupuncture so the oriental medicine nurses can apply easily to their clients. Therefore the independent oriental medicine nursing intervention can be developed by application of the auricular acupuncture therapy on the oriental medicine clinical nursing and home care in our community.

Recently, the high blood pressure is appeared the most frequent disease of a man's the whole sickness. But, to treat this disease is uncertain and produces an adverse reaction of a medicine therapy. Also, a patients are burden high price for doctor's treatment. Therefore, we studied effectively and financially to execute the treatment of the high blood pressure using the Chinese Medicine Theorem that recently arousing a great interest of the people. The main theories of this paper are Blood Vessel Theory and Acupuncture. The composed circuits are low-frequency generating circuit, charging-discharging circuit. The former will substitute a needle that use in the acupuncture therapy method and the latter will charge and discharge the bioelectric action potential of a patient in Ear Acupuncture Point. Also, all circuits will be controlled a micro-computer circuit.

Background: Migraine is a common disabling headache that affects every aspect of a person's life. Auricular acupuncture is a cost-effective treatment modality for the management of painful neurological conditions. Previous studies have shown the beneficial effects of a combination of ear points in the management of migraines. However, no studies have evaluated the efficacy of a single auricular point (i.e., sympathetic point) in migraine. Thus, this study evaluated the efficacy of sympathetic points on pain intensity and depression levels in patients with migraine. Methods: In this randomized controlled study, 100 patients with migraine aged 18-45 years were randomly divided into either an auricular acupuncture group (AAG) (n = 50) or a placebo control group (PCG) (n = 50). The AAG underwent needling at the sympathetic point (an auricular acupuncture point), whereas the PCG underwent needling at a non-acupuncture point for 20 minutes daily for 7 days. Assessments were performed before and after the intervention using a 6-item headache impact test (HIT-6) and Beck depression inventory (BDI) scale. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS version 16. Results: In within-group analysis, the AAG showed a significant reduction in HIT-6 and BDI, whereas the PCG showed a significant increase in HIT-6 and a significant reduction in BDI. In between-groups analyses, HIT-6 reduced significantly in the AAG compared with that in the PCG, whereas BDI reduced significantly in the PCG compared with that in the AAG. Conclusion: In patients with migraine, needling at the sympathetic point produces a greater reduction in the pain intensity level and lesser reduction in the depression level compared to needling at a non-acupuncture point.

Mostly lung diseases by smoking and air pollution is increasing social interest one of 6 kinds of modern diseases which is difficult functional recovery of damaged lung as dangerous diseases of life extension. Therefore, to reduce suffering from respiratory diseases is usually non-smoking, to do strengthen behavior of lung function. In this paper, we would like to propose method to do investigation by voice analysis technology to apply when lung associated ear acupuncture point stimulus to help strengthen actually lung function. From this, we would like to consider the voice change of before/after in smoking to analyze the impact on the human body to the lungs. Based on this experiment, we would like to investigate numerically quantity data actual improved lung function to analyze of voice character difference of before/after in lung associated ear acupuncture point stimulating.

Objective: The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of a five-week auricular acupressure (AA) program on smoking cessation for male high school students.Methods: From May 27 2015 to November 18 2015, this study investigated 66 high school students who had been smoking. More than four sessions of AA were given to participants, and surveys were conducted before each treatment. Once a week, the AA was administered at the endocrine point, lung point, throat point, nasal fossae point, bronchial tube point, and mouth point.Result: Thirty-four (51.5%) students reduced their number of cigarettes smoked per day, while 17 (25.7%) students complained of side effects.Conclusions: Results show that AA is generally effective, and side effects occur less often than with anti-smoking acupuncture. So AA could be preferred on smoking cessation for students.

According to the literatural study on the Acupuncture & Moxibustion and Traumatherapyof hysterorrhea, the results were as follows. 1. The acupuncture & moxibustion of hysterorrhea is focussed on bloody uterine discharge, leukorrhea and we must carefully diagnose the etiology & the machanism of disease. 2. The causes of hysterorrhea are dampness, impairment of seven emotion, irregular food intake, excessive intercourse and they are impotantly related to liver, spleen, kidney, the ren channel, the chong channel. 3. The diagnosis is grossly divided into the flowing downward of damp-heat, the weaknessof the qi of the spleen, dificiency of yuan of the kidney and according to the each diagnosis, we should select adquate points representing the treatment of cooling(zhongji, yinlingquan, xingjian, etc), desiccation, heiping qi(qihai, zusanli, sanyinjiao, etc), tonificating yang (guanyuan, mingmen, shinshu, etc). 4. The moxibustion is the warming the lower jiao and eliminating the cold, the points are the mingmen point, the zhongji point, the guanyuan point, etc. 5. Besides the acupuncture & moxibustion of hysterorrhea, we can make use of acusetor, ear acupuncture, endermosis, dong shi shen fa. 6. As of traumatherapy of hysterorrhea, fumigation,abluent and soppository are generally used. and the prescriptions as GAMISASANGSAN, BANSUKSAN are used. 7. The medical herbs used on the treatment of hysterorrhea are the tonificating yang, dissipeting, desiccating medicines generally composed of CNIDII FRUCTUS, ALUMEN, ZANTHOXYLI FRUCTUS.
