Realization of Location based Service with ePosition by Defining the New DNS Resource Record (새로운 DNS 리소스 레코드 정의를 통한 ePosition 위치 기반 서비스)

  • In ubiquitous geographic information environment, the users are provided with geographic information anywhere and any time on their needs by any types of devices and communication media. The unique location ID, ePosition, is a new technology to support UBGI environment, using a logical location ID instead of physical location of a point of interest. Domain names of plural ePosition servers, where location information with its ePosition is stored, needs to be registered in DNS for some service through Internet. For better ePosition service of the type of public service like email service, a set of DNS resource records can be newly defined. This paper suggests a new DNS resource record EPO for implementation of the ePosition service through Internet.

Development of ePosition Application Technology Based on ENC Data (전자해도 데이터 기반 ePosition 연계기술개발)

  • ePosition is a technology that can provide the spacial position of the earth to the information of ePosition ID through the Internet. It is serving the information of land location based on the Internet using the ePosition technology now, but it needs the service technique which can supply the marine data and the information of maritime position. Moreover, to support the information service of marine position, it needs the ENC linked technique based on S-57 that is an IHO transfer standard for digital hydrographic data. In this paper, therefore, it develops a linkage method for applying and utilizing the ePosition technology to ENC data, and supplements the base technology for applying it to marine related fields. As study method, firstly, this paper analyses ENC data model and structure, and converses for processing ENC file to ePosition data. Lastly, it derives the interconnection method with ePosition database and shows the ePosition service application based on the linked data and its validity.

  • Satellite navigation system such as GPS is becoming more important infrastructure for positioning, navigation and timing. But satellite navigation system is vulnerable to interferences because of the low received power, complementary navigation system such as eLoran is needed. In order to develop eLoran/GPS navigation system, integrated eLoran/GPS navigation algorithm is necessary. In this paper, new integrated eLoran/GPS navigation algorithm is proposed. It combines the position domain integration and the range domain integration to get accurate position with less computational burden. Also an eLoran/GPS evaluation platform is designed and performance evaluation of the proposed algorithm using the evaluation platform is given. The proposed algorithm gives an accuracy of the range domain integration with a computational load of the position domain integration.

A Study of the Effects of Vowels on the Production of English Labials /p, b, f, v/ by Korean Learners of English (영어학습자의 순음 /p, b, f, v/ 발성에 미치는 모음의 영향 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to find how English vowels /a, e, i, o, u/ affect the production of English labials /p, b, f, v/ by Korean learners of English. Sixty syllables were composed by five vowels and four labials in the syllable types CV, VC, and VCV. The nonsense syllables were produced three times by nine subjects. The major results show that (1) in inter-vocalic position, the subjects had higher scores in producing /v/ composed with /a, e, o/ and /u/, while subjects had lower scores in producing /p/ with /i/ and /o/, (2) in post-vocalic position, the subjects had higher scores in producing /v/ and /f/ with /a, e/, and /o/, while subjects had lower scores in producing /b/ with /e/ and /i/, and (3) in pre-vocalic position, the subjects had higher scores in producing /v/ with /e, o, u/ and /f/ with /u/, while subjects had lower scores in producing /b/ with /e/, /i/ and /u/. The results suggest that on the whole, Korean learners of English have much difficulty in producing /p/ with /i/ in inter-vocalic condition and /b/ with /i, /e/ in pre-vocalic position.

  • 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크(USN)는 유무선 통신네트워크를 통하여 분산된 이종 하드웨어와 소프트웨어를 바탕으로 다양한 센서의 실시간 정보를 이용하여 분야별로 요구되는 응용 서비스를 제공하는 융복합시스템으로 상호 연동이 필수적이다. 본 논문은 USN 센서, USN 정보서버 및 USN 응용시스템 간의 상호 연동을 위해 범세계적으로 고유하고 논리적인 객체식별아이디(GLOI) 기술을 응용 구현함으로써, 다수의 분산된 이종 USN 센서, 시스템, 서비스 및 데이터베이스 간에 DNS 를 기반으로 구현이 용이하고 효율적이며 체계적이고 논리적인 새로운 USN 연동 방안을 제시한다.

  • Because of power consumption increase, global warming, and limitation of installation, not only high reliability and interruption capability but also compact and light power apparatuses are needed. In this paper, various models that short and long gap distance were used to analyze E field of each model. Calculation value was estimated of flashover position. As a result, short and long gap distance that vacuum interrupter inner between move electrode and fix electrode not coincided flashover position of each model. short gap distance estimated flashover position at electrode edge. but long gap distance model confirmed $E_{max}$ value at center shield. in this paper was compared electric field value. and estimated of flashover position from electric field calculation.

  • In this paper, we propose an auto-tuning control algorithm for a mobile robot. This controller consists of a three layer neural networks and a PID controller. In order to compensate for uncertainties from unknown dynamics and ignored dynamic effects such as slip conditions, neural network based position schemes are proposed. The results of simulations show the validity of proposed method. This controller learns quickly the model and has good position control performance.

  • Accuracy of the position fix obtained by navigation with Omega in the capacity of worldwide navigation depends on the predicted propagation correction. The authors observe continuously the phase differences of the A-C pair and the A-E pair from April 17 to October 14, 1980, at Busan(35\ulcorner07'. 9N, 129\ulcorner06'. 3E), and analyze the characteristic of daily variation the relation between the theoretical PPC and the measu red PPC to study the accuracy of the position fix. The results are as follows: 1. The results of fourier's analysis for the theoretical PPC and the measured PPC are positive correlation in the coefficients ao, a2, a3 with A-C pair and in the coefficients aO-a3 with A-E pair, and those PPC are apparent to daily periodicity during all measured time. The initial phase is around to 280\ulcorner with A-C pair and 1800 with A-E pair. 2. Daily variatons of the phase difference tend to decrease and the time width to narrow from April toward July, but these variations are opposed to those from July toward October. 3. Mean value of total errors of the position fix by theoretical PPC is 2.67 miles and its standard deviationis O.90miles. 4. Mean value of total errors of the position fix by the measured PPC is 0.63 miles and its standard deviation is 0.217 miles.

  • This paper is aimed at determining the e-field distribution by apply voltage of air void, which can be generate air void in the XLPE cable for ultra high voltage. E-field distribution had an effect in XLPE due to the type and position of void, compared and studied. This method of analysis is based on the quasi-static electromagnetic 3D simulation program by boundary element method (BEM): Applied AC 3[kV], discretization of 2000 elements, 4 angular periodicity, The result of experiment indicate that E-field distribution appeared the highest levels on the void position of electrode 2[nm] outer boundary and shape of the smallest inner angle in the void. This will serve to explain the XLPE cable degradation studied of possible, connected cable variation of position and shape of void effects to e-field concentration.
