  • e-Training focusing on the experience and practice accelerates actual-active learning and enforces the learning effects against the existing theory based education. The most typical hans-on training system is augmented reality. Especially, in the training field installed augmented reality system, the automobile maintenance trainee experiences effective training with the immediate information, which is indicating the location of parts and the procedure of repairing. The tracking is the core technology of the augmented reality system. The performance of augmented reality system depends on the tracking technology. Therefore, this paper suggests the tracking technology which is proper to the e-Training augmented reality service technology for the car mechanics.

  • With the popularization of online learning, mobile learning and blended learning model, augmented reality technology is increasingly widely applied in the field of education today. This article stresses the necessity of applying augmented reality to education by summarizing the current situation and advantages of augmented reality technology in education. Next, the author proposes a new education system-"AR+E education cloud platform system". Last, the author proposes several inspirations for the design of AR-based education software according to the observation and interview of the behaviors and preferences of the respondents.

  • Adult-learners of online education have been distant from studying for a long time and are rather familiar with the old massive education. As a result, despite the excellent ability in self-control learning that results in great academic performances and academic continuity, the learners give up on learning, feeling depressed for not being able to perform their advantage, the self-control learning ability. The study developed a self-control learning model and UDL design learning model in order to establish e-mentoring system. For the analysis on results of the experiment, the researcher extracted academic grade, the rate of re-register, and the amount of total studying time after dividing new students and transfer students of H cyber university into the control group and the experimental group. In conclusion, the results showed that more satisfied the control group is, the higher academic achievements and the higher academic continuity are accomplished.

  • Web is greatly contributing in providing a variety of information. Especially, as media for the purpose of development and education of human resources, the role of web is important. Furthermore, E-Learning through web plays an important role for each enterprise and an educational institution. Also, above all, fast and various searches are required in order to manage and search a great number of educational contents in web. Therefore, most of present information is composed in HTML, so there are lots of restrictions. As a solution to such restriction, XML a standard of Web document, and its various search functions is being extended and studied variously. Moreover, any technology, AJAX, and the old and new technology has two sides. The technology already exists, and it was not even considered before, because new technology is combined technologies. AJAX is a lot of Web 2.0 and Web technologies complement are combined. This paper proposes a search system able to search XML, AJAX in E-Learning or various contents of non-XML.

  • E-Learning standard SCORM has been prepared in the United States to establish the efficient operation and development of e-Learning. The learning object of the current SCORM focuses on easy development and reusability in the professor's side. In this study instead, we present a SCC (Sharable Content Collection) scheme which can provide various studying opportunities to the learners. Constructing an efficient SCC requires improving the SCO (Sharable Content Object), a key ingredient of SCORM, and analyzing the cyber lecture into components. In this way we suggest a method to improve the existing learning objects and present an e-Learning model based on SCC.

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨링과 네트워킹 환경이 준비됨에 따라 교육 분야에서도 새로운 환경에 적합한 교육학습 시스템에 대한 준비가 필요하다. 특히 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 단순히 새로운 기술을 교육학습 분야에 적용하는 것이 아니라 사고방식과 대상을 바꾸는 패러다임의 전환이 필요하다. 분야에서는 유비쿼터스 환경을 단계적으로 적용하여야 한다. 기존의 e-learning에서는 지능시스템이 교육학습 분야에 적용될 수 있는 부분이 한정되어 있었다. 그러나 유비쿼터스 맞춤형 학습 시스템을 구축할 수 있는 기본 환경이 제공하기 위하여 유비퀴터스 환경의 하부 단위에서 증강현실(augmented reality) 기술, 지능형 학습 기술들을 도출하고 적용 방법을 제안한다.

  • Providing appropriate interactions between learner and e- Learning system is an essential factor of a successful e-Learning system. Although many interaction functions are employed in multimedia Web-based Instruction content, learner experience a lack of similar feedbacks from educators in real- time due to the limitation of Human-Computer Interaction techniques. In this paper, an emotion recognition system via learner facial expressions has been developed and applied to a tutoring system. As human educators do, the system observes learners' emotions from facial expressions and provides any or all pertinent feedback. And various feedbacks can bring to motivations and get rid of isolation from e-Learning environments by oneself. The test results showed that this system may provide significant improvement in terms of interesting and educational achievement.

  • There have been many developments and innovations in the educational environments in line with the rapidly evolving information age. E-Learning is a representative example of this rapid evolution. However, E-Learning is challenging to maintain students' concentration because of the low engagement level and limited interactions between instructors and students. Additionally, instructors have limitations in identifying learners' concentration. This paper proposes a system that can measure E-learning users' concentration levels by detecting the users' eyelid movement and the top of the head. The system recognizes the eyelid and the top of the head and measures the learners' concentration level. Detection of the eyelid and the top of the head triggers an event to assess the learners' concentration level based on the users' response. After this process, the system provides a normalized concentration score to the instructor. Experiments with experimental groups and control groups were conducted to verify and validate the system, and the concentration score showed more than 90% accuracy.

  • The cyber classes of an e-Learning system have been considered as one of the important form of education. Especially. some of non-major(liberal arts and science) and major subjects are held in cyber classes. However, there is no or little study of effectiveness and function for the students' position. In this study, we analyzed log files in the e-learning system. and classified login and learning hour patterns of students. who were enrolled in the cyber classes. into hourly pattern in a day, daily pattern in a week, and weekly pattern in a semester. We proposed general ideas to improve effectiveness and function of current e-learning. Over 50% of logins were for less than 30 minutes learning and there is wasteful use of e-learning system resources.
