A Study of the Structural Relationship of Corporate e-Learning in Quality, Users' Learning Characteristics and Customer Orientation in Hotel Industry (호텔 e-Learning의 품질 및 사용자 학습특성과 고객지향성과의 구조적 관계에 관한 연구)

  • The research was aimed at the hotel industry's employees in order to test the efficiency of e-Learning, which is emerging as the alternative training system to the conventional one. The independent variables are the quality of e-Learning, including the qualities of the system, contents, and service of e-Learning, and the learning characteristic factor, including the quality factor of e-Learning, the self-efficacy of the user, learning motivation, and the flow of learning. Furthermore, the intervening variables are its perceived usefulness and the satisfaction factor of the user known as the so-called utility of e-Learning, continuous intention to use in terms of efficaciousness, and the spread of education and training. The dependent variable is customer orientation, known as the ultimate efficaciousness of corporate e-Learning.

  • The emotional factor has not been focused in e-learning studies. But the emotions of student are very important in e-learning because it is a self-regulated learning. This study is focused on the emotional factor in e-learning. This study examines the effect of perceived customer orientation to emotional presence, commitment and customer satisfaction in e-learning. The results of this study showed that the perceived customer orientation effect to the commitment about the learning and the customer satisfaction in e-learning.

The effect of learning management system quality and self-regulated learning strategy on effectiveness of an e-Learning

  • With the increasing use of the Internet improved Internet technologies as well as web-based applications, the uses of e-Learning have also increased the effectiveness of e-Learning has become one of the most practically and theoretically important issues in both Educational Engineering and Information Systems. This study suggests a research model, based on an e-Learning success model, the relationship of the e-learner's self-regulated learning strategy and the quality perception of the e-Learning environment. This research model focuses on the learning environment and on the learners' self-efficacy. The former consists of LMS, learning contents and interaction that are provided by e-Learning and the latter refers to the learners' self-regulated learning strategy. In this study, academic performance was measured by student's real record. We will show the validity of the model empirically, and most of the hypotheses suggested in this model were accepted.

Development of Learning Strategy e-Learning Contents based on the Storytelling (학습전략 이러닝 콘텐츠 개발 -스토리텔링을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the Learning Strategy e-Learning Contents based on the storytelling in university students. The objective of the Learning Strategy e-Learning Contents based on the storytelling was to increase in learning skill which university students will use to keep major learning during their courses. The Learning Strategy e-Learning Contents was based on the results of pre-research on storytelling and learning skill. In order to verify the effectiveness of the Learning Strategy e-Learning Contents based on the storytelling, it was analyzed to validity of contents by five professionals. The results of the study were as follows. The Learning Strategy e-Learning Contents based on the storytelling for increasing in learning skill of university students consisted of 15 sessions which proceeding a per semester: the starting phase(1-2), the execution phase(3-13), and the ending phase(14-15). The subjects were 20 university students who had randomly assigned to an experimental group(10) and a control group(10). Subjects completed a learning skill scale. Data analyses were conducted using ANCOVA. The results of the analyses revealed that subjects of experimental group showed significantly higher scores on learning skill than one of control group. Based on the above results, it is concluded that the Learning Strategy e-Learning Contents based on the storytelling was effective in improving learning skill of university students.

  • Computers have been increasingly recognized as tools for teaming, in addition to supporting industrial works. Such advantages e-Learning have as teaming at any time and place, distribution and management of standardized contents, mentoring with learners, immediate feed-backs, and dynamic learning have been applied in a variety of divisions. Despite of the researches and interests, the study on the different views between teachers who design and operate e-learning and students who receive lessons hasn't been enough. So it studied the recognition of middle school teachers and students on the e-Learning. <중략>The research result showed that there were similarity in the views between teachers and students on the concept of e-Learning. Many teachers and students have experienced the e-Learning directly or indirectly. Teachers and students showed similar opinions on the beforehand education and preferred subjects of the e-Learning. But the students required fast and immediate feedback of the teachers. Teachers and students showed similar opinions on the utilization of multimedia components to achieve the goal of education. But teachers thought that immediate feedback was important. The students thought it important to control the degree of difficulty. It suggests a way to activate the e-Learning of middle school efficiently with the research result.

  • This study suggested the new e-learning systems based on agent to provide an adaptable learning. In Semantic Web environment, to develop an ontology and an intelligent agent is essential for an adaptable e-learning systems. Especially, to develop a reasoning engine using analysis of learning content and learners' information can offer an effective e-learning system. Therefore, we developed an applying model to an adaptable e-learning systems and the various ontologies for Semantic Web environment. Moreover, we analyzed and developed ontologies within the framework of learning domain, a learner and interface. Further, we implemented an intelligent e-learning for applying an agent's reasoning. Through this system proposed, we suggested the new e-learning systems model for Semantic Web environment.

  • 최근 SCORM, Dublin Core등의 국제 표준 메타데이터와 함께, 세계 사실 표준이라 할 수 있는 IMS와 IEEE/LTSC의 LOM이 e-Learning의 특성을 반영한 메타데이터로서 현재 국$\cdot$내외적으로 많은 e-Learning 업체 및 기관에서 활용되고 있다(5). 그러나 LOM에서 정의한 메타데이터는 멀티플랫폼 환경을 고려하지 않고 있고, 제작 및 유통되고 있는 대부분의 e-Learning 콘텐트는 멀티미디어 특성에 대한 메타데이터 요소가 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 , 본 논문에서는 멀티플랫폼 환경에서 e-Learning학습을 지원하기 위해, 메타데이터 및 e-Learning 업체의 Requirement를 조사,분석하고 e-Learning 국제 표준 메타데이터와 플랫폼의 디바이스 특성을 반영하여, 기본적인 PC(Personal Computer) 환경을 포함한 모바일 기기 환경과 디지털TV 환경을 고려한 멀티플랫폼 e-Learning 메타데이터(Multi-platform e-Learning Metadata)를 제안하였다.

  • The knowledge based economy requires more and more people to learn new knowledge and skills in a timely and effective manner. These needs and new technology such as computer and Internet are fueling a transition in e-learning. According to specialist's opinion, imagination experience studying is generalized, and learning environment that language barrier by studying, multi-language studying Machine that experience past things that disappear through simulation, and travel area, and experience future changed state disappears is forecasting to come. This is previewing finally that it may become future education that education and IT, element of entertainment is combined. Already, became story that argument for party satellite of e-Learning existence passes one season already. e-Learning is utilized already in all educations that we touch by effectiveness by corporation's competitive power improvement and implement of lifelong education in educational institutions through present e-Learning. It is obvious that when see from our viewpoint which is defining e-Learning by one industry and rear by application to education as well as one new growth power about these, e-Learning industry becomes very important means that can solve dilemma of growth real form. Only, special quality of digital industry that e-Learning is being same with other digital industry and repeat putting out a fire rapidly, and is repeating sudden change that these evolution is not gradual growth of accumulation and improvement of technology that is appearing consider need to. In the meantime, we need to observe about evolution of Information Technology. Because there is some scholars who e-Learning's concept foresees to evolve by u-Learning.(although, a person who see that these concept is not more in marketing terminology by some scholars' opinion is). This u-Learning's concept means e-Learning that take advantage of ubiquitous technology as Ubiquitous-Learning's curtailment speech. Ubiquitous, user means Information-Communication surrounding that can connect to network freely regardless of place without feeling network or computer. There is controversy about introduction time regarding these direction, but e-Learning is judged to evolve by u-Learning necessarily. Because keep in step and age that study all contents that learner wants under environment of 3A (any time, any whrer, any device) by individual order thoroughly is foreseen to come in ubiquitous learning environment that approach more festinately.

The Factor Analysis on e-Learning Strategies of Elementary School Students (초등학생의 e-러닝 학습전략 요인 분석)

  • This study aims to analyze strategy, one of the predictor variables that have influence on the effectiveness of learning in e-learning environment and to define the factors of e-learning strategies of elementary school students. Preceding studies on face-to-face strategy and e-learning strategy, and existing face-to-face and e-learning strategy test sheets were analyzed. Questions are developed based on the results to make clear the area of leaning strategies used by elementary school students in e-learning environment and to analyze the e-learning strategies of elementary school students. The results from this study are, the e-learning strategies of elementary school students are shown in five areas including strategy for learning activity, strategy for learning attitude, resource use strategy, planning strategy, and overload management strategy. It was found that five strategy areas have explanatory power in the order of strategy for learning activity, strategy for learning attitude, resource use strategy, planning strategy, and overload management strategy.

This study suggests a research model, based on an e-Learning success model, the relationship of the e-learner's self-regulated learning strategy and the quality perception of the e-Learning environment. This research model focuses on the learning environment and on e-learning strategy. The former consists of learning management system, learning content quality and service quality that are provided by e-Loaming. The latter refers to the learners' self-regulated learning strategy.
