A dynamic load simulator(DLS) which can reproduce on-ground the aerodynamic hinge moment of control surface is an essential rig for the performance and stability test of aircraft actuation system. By setting up load actuator as counter acting with the control surface driving actuator and designing an appropriate force control system for load actuator, DLS can be mechanized. Obtaining an accurate mathematical model for the DLS is the first step to successfully design an aerodynamic load replicati on system. Two theoretical models are presented and tested for their validities with the experimental results, which turns out to be not successful. An alternative way of using system identification approaches in investigated to develop a good nominal model for DLS dynamics, and suitable uncertainty bounds for this nominal model are proposed with the consideration of experimental results.

A dynamic model for the cutting process in the end milling process is developed. This model, which describes the dynamic response of the end mill, the chip load geometry including tool runout, the dependence of the cutting forces on the chip load, is used to predict the dynamic cutting force during the end milling process. In order to predict accurately cutting forces and tool vibration, the model, which uses instantaneous specific cutting force, includes both regenerative effect and penetration effect. The model is verified through comparisons of model predicted cutting force with measured cutting forces obtained from machining experiments.

First introduced in 2016, the dynamic foundation model is an interesting topic in which the foundation is described close to reality by taking into account the influence of the foundation mass in the calculation of oscillation and is an important parameter that should be considered. In this paper, a follow-up investigation is conducted with the object of the Mindlin plate on a nonlinear dynamic foundation under moving loads. The base model includes nonlinear elastic springs, linear Pasternak parameters, viscous damping, and foundation mass. The problem is formulated by the finite element analysis and solved by the Newmark-β method. The displacement results at the center of the plate are analyzed and discussed with the change of various parameters including the nonlinear stiffness, the foundation mass, and the load velocity. The dynamic response of the plate sufficiently depends on the foundation mass.
In this paper, inverse building modeling was applied to building perimeter zones which have different window orientation. Two test zones of east-facing and west-facing zones in ERS(Energy Resource Station) building, which is representative of small commercial building, was used to test performance of cooling load calculation and peak cooling load reduction. The dynamic thermal load model for the east and west zone was validated using measured data for the zones and then it was used to investigate the effect of peak cooling load reduction by adjustment of indoor cooling temperature set points during on-peak time period. For the east zone, the peak load can be reduced to about 60% of the peak load for conventional control even without any precooling. For the west zone, PLR is nearly independent of the start of the on-peak period until a start time of 1pm. Furthermore, PLR has a small dependence on the precooling duration. Without any precooling, the peak cooling load can be reduced to about 35% of the peak load associated with conventional control.
This paper presents the generalized dynamic modeling of self-excited induction generator (SEIG) using state-space approach. The proposed dynamic model consists of induction generator; self-excitation capacitance and load model are expressed in stationary d-q reference frame with the actual saturation curve of the machine. An artificial neural network model is implemented to estimate the machine magnetizing inductance based on the knowledge of magnetizing current. The dynamic performance of SEIG is investigated under no load, with the load, perturbation of load, short circuit at stator terminals, and variation of prime mover speed, variation of capacitance value by considering the effect of main and cross-flux saturation. During voltage buildup the variation in magnetizing inductance is taken into consideration. The performance of SEIG system under various conditions as mentioned above is simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK and the simulation results demonstrates the feasibility of the proposed system.

In this paper, an inverted-pendulum model consisting of a point supported by spring limbs with roller feet is adopted to simulate human walking load. To establish the kinematic motion of first and second single and double support phases, the Lagrangian variation method was used. Given a set of model parameters, desired walking speed and initial states, the Newmark-${\beta}$ method was used to solve the above kinematic motion for studying the effects of roller radius, stiffness, impact angle, walking speed, and step length on the ground reaction force, energy transfer, and height of center of mass transfer. The numerical simulation results show that the inverted-pendulum model for walking is conservative as there is no change in total energy and the duration time of double support phase is 50-70% of total time. Based on the numerical analysis, a dynamic load factor ${\alpha}_{wi}$ is proposed for the traditional walking load model.
This paper presents the dynamical responses of the plate girder bridge subjected to moving load by experimental method. The upper slab of the plate girder bridges is modelled to the plate element and the girder to the beam element. The small-scaled vehicle model is manufactured as moving load and the acryl-bridge model as the plate-girder bridge. The dynamic responses of the plate-girder bridges under the moving load are obtained by the strain gauges, displacement measurements, accelerometer, and dynamic strain measurement. The maximum dynamic responses from the measured data are compared with those from the finite element method. The experimental model test can be used to obtain to the dynamic responses of the plate-girder bridges.

This paper focuses on the study of complete dynamic modeling and maximum dynamic load carrying capacity computation of N-flexible links and N-flexible joints mobile manipulator undergoing large deformation. Nonlinear dynamic analysis relies on the Timoshenko theory of beams. In order to model the system completely and precisely, structural and joint flexibility, nonlinear strain-displacement relationship, payload, and non-holonomic constraints will be considered to. A finite element solution method based on mixed method is applied to model the shear deformation. This procedure is considerably more involved than displacement based element and shear deformation can be readily included without inducing the shear locking in the element. Another goal of this paper is to present a computational procedure for determination of the maximum dynamic load of geometrically nonlinear manipulators with structural and joint flexibility. An effective measure named as Moment-Height Stability (MHS) measure is applied to consider the dynamic stability of a wheeled mobile manipulator. Simulations are performed for mobile base manipulator with two flexible links and joints. The results represent that dynamic stability constraint is sensitive when calculating the maximum carrying load. Furthermore, by changing the trajectory of end effector, allowable load also changes. The effect of torsional spring parameter on the joint deformation is investigated in a parametric sensitivity study. The findings show that, by the increase of torsional stiffness, the behavior of system approaches to a system with rigid joints and allowable load of robot is also enhanced. A comparison is also made between the results obtained from small and large deformation models. Fluctuation range in obtained figures for angular displacement of links and end effector path is bigger for large deformation model. Experimental results are also provided to validate the theoretical model and these have good agreement with the simulated results.

Vehicle dynamic models in handing and stability analysis are divided into three groups: bicycle model, roll axis model and full vehicle model. Bicycle model is a simple linear model, which hag two wheels with load transfer being ignored. Roll axis model treats left and right wheels independently. In this model, load transfer has a great effect on nonlinearity of tire model. Effects of suspension system can be analyzed by using full vehicle model, which is included suspension stroke motions. In this paper, these models are validated and compared through comparison with road test, and the effects of suspension kinematics and compliance characteristics on vehicle motion are analyzed. In handling and stability analysis, roll axis model can simulate the real vehicle motion more accurately than full vehicle model. Compliance steer has a significant effect, but the effect of suspension kinematics is negligible.
Regrading the development of offshore natural gas field near Sakhalin Island which is an ice-infested area, this study aims to estimate the dynamic ice load for construction of offshore structures operating in this region. In this paper the design ice load and dynamic responses of a slender Arctic structure upon continuous ice movement are sutdied. Crushing agter a certain elastic deformation is assumed as a primary failure mechanism at the contact zone between semi-infinite level ice edge and the face of structure. Dynamic interaction forces are calculated using a modified Korzhavin's equation and a two-dimensional ice-structure interaction model is adopted. To verify the numerical model, dynamic analysis is performed for on of the Baltic Sea channel markers whose response patterns were presiously observed.
