This paper reports a series of job analyses to develop a curriculum for radiologic technologists by using DACUM (Development A Curriculum). With this method, the jobs of radiologic technologist were divided into 8 duties and 59 tasks. The results showed that the most important duty was 'exposure management (M=4.72)', the most difficult duty was 'radiation therapy (M=4.29)', and the most frequently performed duty was 'radiation examination (M=4.19)' respectively. In addition these results were compared with the current curriculum. It turned out that there are quite differences between the school education and actual work. For example, 'patients care' duty was identified as the main job but only 57.1% of the schools offer related courses. The current curriculum focused on the theory for the radiologic technologist is not sufficient to perform the field operation.
The purpose of this study was analyzed the factors of influencing toward attitude to death with dignity to hospice volunteers. The data was collected for 21 days from 14 March to 3 April 2010. Among a total of 220 cases of the questionaries, only 195 cases were used. To data were analyzed by factor analysis, independent t-test, one-way anova and logistic regression using PASW statistics 18.0. The results were as follows; The attitudes towards death with dignity according to general characteristics was high in those with will to agreed to the passive euthanasia than those opposite to the attitude factors, namely, acceptive, the right to decide, negative, and dereliction of duty attitude factors. Significant variables for effects of death with dignity were gender, acceptive attitude factor and dereliction of duty attitude factors. Given that main provider of human organs is the brain-dead and we don't have enough organ donation, death with dignity should be linked with activating policy of organ donation, while solving donation shortage problem. This way, constructing social implementation and sharing consciousness on organ donation, would be diluting the bio-ethic controversies.

Result: The Job description of geriatric care managers revealed 10 duties, 34 tasks, and 105 task elements. On all ten duties, the average performance frequency, importance, and difficulty was 2.55, 2.21 and 2.43 respectively. Purpose: This study was a qualitative research study in which focus group interviews were used to collect data on the meaning of respite for family caregivers who are taking care of elders with dementia. Methods: The focus group interviews and participants consisted of 2 family caregiver groups, for a total of 8 people taking care of their elders and 5 professional caregivers working in a geriatrics hospital or social welfare institutions. Content analysis was used and debriefing notes were referred in order to analyze the data. Results: The meaning of respite in this research was measured using 4 main categories: 'Temporary break from routine', 'direct help', 'psychological comfort', 'valuables which cannot be taken easily' and 9 subcategories: 'Temporary diversion of attention', 'temporarily free from my duty', 'taking care of oneself', 'receiving economic help', 'empathize with others', 'comfort based on trust', 'resting together with the elder', 'no time to rest', 'cannot get out of one's obligatory duty'. Conclusion: The findings of the study show that rest means not only a temporary relief from caretaking, but also a real respite based on the patients' stable state and comfort. These results indicate a new meaning for respite, that the first step of respite program has to begin even when the caregivers do not recognize the need for respite.

Objective: This study was conducted to provide basic data on physical function improvement activities of elderly care facilities by identifying the degree of physical improvement activities of elderly caregivers. Design: Descriptive correlational study. Methods: The instrument of this study consisted of 12 questions on the general characteristics of the subject. For the assessment of improvement in physical function activities, the measuring tool used for the elderly consisted of a total of 20 questions. For data analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficient & Spearman's rho and multiple regression were used. Results: The higher the age of the subjects, the lower their educational background (r=-0.273, p<0.05), and the higher the probability of having a religion (r=-0.258, p<0.05), the more stable the employment type (r=-0.333, p<0.05). The higher the level of education, the higher the monthly income (r=0.187, p<0.01), and the shorter the career (r=-0.204, p<0.05). The more stable employment, the more unstable duty (r=-0.245, p<0.05), and the more unstable work, the higher the monthly income (r=-0.206, p<0.05) and the longer the career, the higher the monthly income (r=0.247, p<0.05). The more stable the employment, the more activities to improve physical function were found (r=0.341, p<0.05), and the more unstable the duty, the more activities to improve physical function were found (r=0.321, p<0.05), and the higher monthly income, the less physical function improvement activities (r=-0.196, p<0.05). Conclusions: It is necessary to provide regular services by a dedicated physical therapist for physical function improvement activities in order to improve the quality of life of the elderly in the future.
