백터제어를 적용한 전동차 구동 시스템 개발 (Development of Driving System for Railway Vehicle using Vector Control)

  • 본 논문은 백터제어기법을 적용한 철도차량용 1.2MVA전동차 구동시스템의 개발에 관한 것이다. 벡터제어를 위해서는 출력 전압의 크기와 위상을 순시적으로 제어해야한다. 전동차 구동시스템에서는 DC링크 단의 전압 이용률을 최대로 하기 위해 고속 운전 영역에서는 1펄스 모드를 사용한다. 따라서 고속 운전 영역에서는 토크성분 전류와 지송성분 전류를 독립적으로 술시 에어해야 하는 백터제어기법을 정용할 수 없다. 이에, 본 연구에서는 저속이 운전영역에서는 순시 토크 제어가 가능한 벡터제어를 적용하고, 고속 운전 영역에서는 슬립 주파수제어를 적용하는, 백터 제어와 스칼라 제어의 병용제어 기법을 제안하였다. 또한 운전영역에 따라 이들 두 제어방법이 부드럽게 전환되도록 하는 제어기법이 제시되었다. 제안되 제어기법을 4대의 210kW 유도전동기를 구동하는 1.2MVA 전동차 견인 구동시스템에 적용하여 그 효용성을 알아보았다.

3상 인버터 구동기를 이용하는 교류 서보전동기의 전류제어 파라미터 계측법 (A.C. servo motor current control parameter measurement strategy using the three phase inverter driver)

  • 본 논문에서는 교류 서보 전동기 PI 전류제어를 위한 주요 시스템 파라미터인 상저항과 상인덕턴스를 측정하는 방법을 제시한다. 서보 전동기 전류제어를 위한 PI 제어이득은 주요 계통 파라미터인 권선간 저항과 인덕턴스 정보를 활용하여 튜닝하는 자동적 방법이 기본적으로 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 이 두 파라미터를 3상 인버터 제어를 통해 계측하는 방법을 제시한다. 이 제어 및 계측 방법은 3상 인버터를 이용하여 3상 권선에 비례입력 만을 이용하는 스텝 전류제어를 수행하고 그 결과로 얻어진 출력 상전류를 측정함으로써 구현된다. 더불어 이 방법은 권선간 인덕턴스 계측을 위해 특정 스위칭모드에서의 인버터 자연-순환(freewheeling) 전류를 이용한다. 이 인버터 제어를 이용하는 측정 방법은 새로운 추가 계측 회로 및 복잡한 계측 알고리즘을 사용하지 않고 실시간으로 파라미터들을 계측 및 연산할 수 있는 해석적 방법이다. 실제 전동기 제어에 사용되어지는 구동기 회로를 그대로 사용하면서 스위칭소자의 도통저항과 각종 결선 저항을 포함하는 합성 저항 및 인덕턴스를 계측할 수 있는 방법이다.

Urea-SCR 분사시스템의 DeNOx 저감 성능 향상과 NH3 슬립저감을 위한 모델 기반 제어알고리즘 개발 및 구현 (The Development and Implementation of Model-based Control Algorithm of Urea-SCR Dosing System for Improving De-NOx Performance and Reducing NH3-slip)

  • The selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system is a highly-effective aftertreatment device for NOx reduction of diesel engines. Generally, the ammonia ($NH_3$) was generated from reaction mechanism of SCR in the SCR system using the liquid urea as the reluctant. Therefore, the precise urea dosing control is a very important key for NOx and $NH_3$ slip reduction in the SCR system. This paper investigated NOx and $NH_3$ emission characteristics of urea-SCR dosing system based on model-based control algorithm in order to reduce NOx. In the map-based control algorithm, target amount of urea solution was determined by mass flow rate of exhaust gas obtained from engine rpm, torque and $O_2$ for feed-back control NOx concentration should be measured by NOx sensor. Moreover, this algorithm can not estimate $NH_3$ absorbed on the catalyst. Hence, the urea injection can be too rich or too lean. In this study, the model-based control algorithm was developed and evaluated on the numerical model describing physical and chemical phenomena in SCR system. One channel thermo-fluid model coupled with finely tuned chemical reaction model was applied to this control algorithm. The vehicle test was carried out by using map-based and model-based control algorithms in the NEDC mode in order to evaluate the performance of the model based control algorithm.

방수형 로봇팔의 설계, 실험 및 제어 연구 (A study on design, experiment control of the waterproof robot arm)

  • 본 논문에서는 화재나 홍수로 인하여 침수된 건물 내부를 탐사할 수 있는 새로운 방수형 4축 로봇팔을 설계하고 로봇의 기구학 및 동역학 해석을 수행한다. 로봇팔은 카메라를 이용한 탐사를 위한 Pitch-Pitch-Pitch-Yaw 4축 구조로 설계하고, 이를 구동하기 위한 관절구동기의 용량을 선정한다. 또한 수심 10m의 방수가능한 관절구동기를 설계 하고 실제 구동시험을 통하여 방수성능을 검증한다. 설계한 로봇팔의 순기구학 및 역기구학 식의 해석을 통해 닫힌 해를 유도하며, 메커니컬실의 마찰력을 고려한 로봇팔의 운동방정식을 뉴턴-오일러 방법에 의해 유도한다. 유도한 동역학식을 이용하여 개발한 로봇이 목표궤적을 잘 추종할 수 있도록 슬라이딩모드 제어기를 설계하고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 성능을 확인한다.

이온빔 배향에 의한 수직 배향막의 액정 배향 (Vertical Alignment of Liquid Crystal by Ion Beam Irradiation)

  • In this study, Liquid Crystal (LC) alignment and tilt angle generation in Nematic Liquid Crystal (NLC) with negative dielectric anisotropy on the homeotropic PI surface with new ion beam exposure are reported. Also. high density of ion beam energy (DuoPIGatron type Ar ion gun) is used in this study. The tilt angle of NLC on the homeotropic Polyimide (PI) surface for all incident angles is measured about 38 degree and this has a stabilization trend. And the good LC alignment of NLC on the PI surface with ion beam exposure of $45^{\circ}$ incident angle was observed. Also the tilt angle of NLC on the homeotropic PI surface with ion beam exposure of $45^{\circ}$ had a tendency to decrease as ion beam energy density increase. The tilt angle could be controlled from verticality to horizontality. Also, the LC aligning capabilities of NLC on the homeotropic PI surface according to ion beam energy has the goodness in case of more than 1500 eV. Finally. the superior LC alignment thermal stability on the homeotropic PI surface with ion beam exposure can be achieved. For OCB(Optically Compensated Bend) mode driving, we can need pretilt angles control for fast response time. In this study, We success pretilt angles control. Consequently, this result can be applied for OCB mode.

슬라이딩 섭동 관측기를 이용한 수술용 로봇 인스트루먼트의 반력 추정 가능성 평가 (Evaluation of a Possibility of Estimation of Reaction Force of Surgical Robot Instrument using Sliding Perturbation Observer)

  • In spite of the difficulties and uncertain characteristic of cable driven method, surgical robot instrument has adopted it as driving mechanism for various reasons. To overcome the problem of cable system, previous research applied SMCSPO (sliding mode control with sliding perturbation observer) algorithm as robust controller to control the instrument and found that the value of SPO (sliding perturbation observer) followed force disturbance, reaction force loaded on the tip very similarly. Thus, this paper confirms that the perturbation observer is sufficient estimator which finds out the mount of loaded force on the surgical robot instrument. To prove the proposition, simulation using the similar model with an actual instrument and experimental evaluation are performed. The results show that it is possible to substitute SPO for sensors to measure the reaction force. This estimated reaction force will be used to realize haptic function by sending the reaction force to a master device for a surgeon. The results will contribute to create surgical benefit such as shortening the practice time of a surgeon and giving haptic information to surgeon by using it as haptic signal to protect an organ by making force boundary.

브레이크 스위치 결함에 의한 간헐적인 가속불량 현상의 고장진단 사례연구 (Case Study of Intermittent Poor Acceleration Fault Diagnosis by Brake Switch Fault)

  • This paper investigates the failure of a car with a 2.5-liter CRDi engine of the Hyundai Company. The failure is caused by intermittent poor acceleration while driving. To analyze the cause, we investigated the air intake volume, the fuel injection, and the air-fuel ratio, which were determined to be normal. The brake switch signal error was discovered while analyzing the function that limits the output of the engine. While investigating the cause, we discovered the corrosion of the pins on the connector of the brake switch. We determined that it was generated by soapy water flowing in the solar film. Therefore, the cause of the failure was the brake switch signal errors. Additionally, we determined that ECM was the normal fail-safe mode that implemented the override device for safety during normal acceleration. Based on these results, further solar film experiments must be conducted to fully elucidate the causes.

EV용 충전 인덕터용 PFC 및 제로 토크제어 (PFC and Zero Torque Control of SRM for EV Battery Charging)

  • Integrated switched reluctance motor drive as an electric vehicle battery charger is presented in this paper. The SRM, which is used as the traction power in the driving mode, is used in the charge circuit to improve the power factor of charging system. The charging circuit can share the power switches of the asymmetric converter and phase windings of SRM to charge the battery, and can reduce the size and cost of the system in the plug-in system. To keep the rotor at standstill, zero torque control method is proposed. Since the inductances of the SRM windings are not same at any stop position, the charger controller controls the reference current to satisfy the total charging current with PFC and zero torque condition. A novel cubic equation method is proposed as a current reference distributor of the charging controller. Simulations are performed by MATLAB software and results satisfy the Effectiveness of proposed battery charging system.

  • LPG direct injection (LPDi) technology is a method of improving the weaknesses of existing LPG vehicles by directly injection into the combustion chamber. This study was conducted on the comparison of emissions and fuel efficiency performance of the engine and vehicle by applying LPDi technology. The LPDi hybrid engine's maximum output and maximum torque were measured at an equivalent level of less than 1% compared to conventional gasoline fuel. The fuel amount was corrected using the LCU controller, and the THC, CO, and NOx emissions were reduced to 90% in the operating range of the three-way catalyst through air-fuel ratio control. The analysis of THC+NOx and CO emissions in FTP-75 (CVS-75) driving mode satisfied the US LEV III SULEV30 regulation.

Design and Implementation of Modified Current Source Based Hybrid DC - DC Converters for Electric Vehicle Applications

  • In this study, we present the modern hybrid system based power generation for electric vehicle applications. We describe the hybrid structure of modified current source based DC - DC converters used to extract the maximum power from Photovoltaic (PV) and Fuel Cell system. Due to reduced dc-link capacitor requirement and higher reliability, the current source inverters (CSI) better compared to the voltage source based inverter. The novel control strategy includes Distributed Maximum Power Point Tracking (DMPPT) for photovoltaic (PV) and fuel cell power generation system. The proposed DC - DC converters have been analyzed in both buck and boost mode of operation under duty cycle 0.5>d, 0.5<d<1 and 0.5<d for capable electric vehicle applications. The proposed topology benefits include one common DC-AC inverter that interposes the generated power to supply the charge for the sharing of load in a system of hybrid supply with photovoltaic panels and fuel cell PEM. An improved control of Direct Torque and Flux Control (DTFC) based induction motor fed by current source converters for electric vehicle.In order to achieve better performance in terms of speed, power and miles per gallon for the expert, to accepting high regenerative braking current as well as persistent high dynamics driving performance is required. A simulation model for the hybrid power generation system based electric vehicle has been developed by using MATLAB/Simulink. The Direct Torque and Flux Control (DTFC) is planned using Xilinx ISE software tool in addition to a Modelsim 6.3 software tool that is used for simulation purposes. The FPGA based pulse generation is used to control the induction motor for electric vehicle applications. FPGA has been implemented, in order to verify the minimal error between the simulation results of MATLAB/Simulink and experimental results.
