항타 말뚝에서 항타관리시스템(Pile Installation Recorder-Driven Pile)의 적용성에 관한 연구 (Study on Application of PIR-D(Pile Installation Recorder-Driven Pile) in Driven Pile)

  • Driven pile has the excellent bearing characteristics and good economics, so it is known as the comparative piling method. To use the advantages of driven pile fully, it is necessary to perform the proper construction management. Engineers must drive pile to the proper bearing layer with proper blow energy and measure the blow count and penetration per certain depth to analyze the bearing capacity and driveability. In conventional method, these parameters have been measured manually so it was difficult to get good accuracy. After PIR-D(Pile Installation Recorder-Driven Pile) was attached to the driving equipment, the hammer efficiency, blow count and penetration in blow/10cm were measured automatically. In this paper, to givethe rational judgement criteria of bearing layer, driveability, blow/10cm according to pile depth during pile driving, the some relationship between the driving resistance and ground layer distribution was analyzed. The ground investigation during piles (PHC ${\Phi}450,\;{\Phi}400\;&\;Steel\;Pile\;{\Phi}609{\ast}16t$) installation in the marine clay layer in Incheon, the sandy soil layer in Yongin and the tuff layer in Pusan was done. And measuring hammer efficiency not doing recently, we could compare hammer efficiency(Eh) by PIR-D and energy transfer ratio(ETR) by Pile Dynamic Analyzer(PDA).

항타강관말뚝과 현장타설말뚝의 주면마찰력 거동에 관한 현장실험 연구 (A Study on Friction Capacity Behavior for Driven Steel Pipe Pile and Drilled Shaft Pile with Field Test)

  • In this study, static pile load tests for instrumented drilled shaft pile and instrumented driven steel pipe pile were performed. Based on the results of pile load test, skin friction of each stratum was compared. Skin friction of drilled shaft were more than those of driven pile at the same settlement. This was based on the difference of surface roughness of piles and pile construction methods.

  • The working load at pile is sometimes subjected to not only compression load but also lateral load and uplift forces. Pile foundation is essential and uplift load can be applied because of buoyancy, a typhoon, wind or seismic forces. This study was carried out to determine the uplift capacity of concrete pile foundation driven in clay. Pile was driven in clay, between pile and clay adhesion factor was estimated, and it is the mean value between the cast-in-situ-pile and steel pipe pile. When pile foundation is loaded for long time, creep behavior occurs. The behavior of creep is originated from the clay creep contacted with pile. The creep behavior of pile foundation embedded in clay is heavily depended on the thickness of clay around the pile shaft, pore water pressure in clay, and creep behavior of clay.

비균질 지반에서 항타 관입한 단일 강성말뚝의 수평거동 연구 (Lateral Behavior of Single Rigid Driven Pile in Non-Homogeneous Sand)

  • 수평거동의 특성을 파악하기 위하여 일련의 연속된 모형실험을 수행하였다. 본 논문은 균질 및 비균질의 사질토 지반에서 항타 시공된 단일 강성말뚝의 수평거동에 대한 모형실험 결과들을 고찰하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 말뚝의 수평거동 특성에 대한 말뚝 시공상태(Driven & Embedded), 말뚝 근입길이에 대한 하부지반의 두께비(H/L), 그리고 지반반력 계수비의 영향에 관하여 실험 적인 연구를 수행하였다. 모형실험 결과들에 의하면, 수평거동은 비균질 지반에서 항타 에너지에 상당히 의존하고 있다. 즉, H/L=0.75의 경우 항타 에너지가 3배 증가에 의하여 매입말뚝에 대한 수평변위 감소율이 약 2.12배 정도 증가하였다. $E_{h1}/E_{h2}=5.56$인 비균질 지반에서 항타말뚝의 경우 수평변위의 감소에 대한 강성이 큰 상부층의 효과가 매입말뚝에 비하여 상당히 적게 작용하였다. 항타 진동으로 토립자의 재배열 현상으로 말뚝주변 지반 강성이 증가하고 이로 인하여 말뚝의 상대강성이 크게 증가하여 말뚝이 휨성말뚝과 비슷한 거동을 보였으며, 비균질 지반에서 항타 시공에 따른 최대 휨모멘트는 매입말뚝의 100 - 132%정도 크게 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 $y_D/y_E\; 와\; MBM_D/MBM_E$에 대한 수평하중과 H/L의 영향들을 모형실험 결과들로부터 실험식으로 제안하였다.

  • To find a lateral long term behavior of driven H-piles in embankment, inclinometer is installed at pile and measurement is done during a year. When behavior of measured slope angles is in accord with behavior of nonlinear p-y curves(Reese, Murchison and O'Neil, Matlock's p-y analysis), maximum displacement of pile head, maximum stress and maximum bending moment of pile obtained from the numerical analysis are shown. As results, maximum lateral displacement at pile head, maximum stress and maximum bending moment of pile are shown linear behavior, And maximum lateral load, maximum lateral displacement, and maximum bending moment at pile obtained from the numerical analysis are 8∼12.4tonf, 9∼10.1㎜, and 10.39∼12.67tonf-m per pile according to the curves, respectively.

베트남 중부 연안의 대심도 점토지반에 시공된 강관 마찰 말뚝의 항타시공관리 (Case Study of Friction Piles Driven into Clayey Soils on the Central Coast of Vietnam)

  • 국내 항타 말뚝기초의 경우 대부분 풍화암 이상의 단단한 지층에 선단 지지되는 경우가 대부분이며, 서남해 지역의 연약지반이 깊게 발달한 일부에서 마찰 말뚝(friction pile)이 사용되었으나 시공관리의 불확실성으로 제한적으로 적용되고 그 사례가 많지 않다. 또한 시공과 관련하여 국내의 경우 소음 및 진동 등의 민원문제로 매입 시공이 주를 이루고 있으나, 퇴적지반이 깊은 동남아 국가(캄보디아, 미얀마, 베트남 등) 등에서는 경제성 확보를 위해 항타 시공을 통한 말뚝 시공 비율이 높으며, 그에 따른 시공 및 현장관리 경험이 많이 축적되어 있다. 현재 국내 많은 건설 기업들이 동남아 등 해외 시장 진출 사례가 크게 증가함에 따라, 해당국가에서의 경쟁력 확보를 위해서는 항타시공을 이용한 마찰지지 말뚝 시공사례에 따른 문제점들을 파악하고 현장관리 역량을 강화해야 할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 베트남 중부 연안의 대심도 점토지반에 항타 시공된 마찰지지 강관 말뚝의 동적/정적 재하시험 결과의 비교분석과 이를 토대로 수정된 항타공식을 이용한 강관 말뚝의 시공관리 방안을 제안하였다.

모래지반에서 반복수평하중을 받는 항타말뚝의 거동 (Behavior of Laterally Cyclic Loaded Piles Driven into Sand)

  • Fourteen model pile load tests using a calibration chamber and instrumented model pile were preformed to investigate the variation of the behaviors of driven piles in sands with soil and lateral cyclic loading conditions. Results of the model tests showed that the first loading cycle generated more than 70% of the pile head rotation developed for 50 lateral loading cycles. Lateral cyclic loading also made an increase of the ultimate lateral load capacity of piles for $K_0$=0.4 and an decrease for $K_0$ higher than 0.4. Higher portion of the increase or decrease in the ultimate lateral load capacity by lateral cyclic loading was generated for the first loading cycle due to densification of loosening of the soil around the pile by lateral cyclic loading. It was also observed that a two-way cyclic loading caused higher ultimate lateral load capacity of driven piles than a one-way cyclic loading. When the pile was in the ultimate state, the maximum bending moment developed in the pile increased with increasing $K_0$ value of soil and was insensitive to the magnitude and number of lateral cyclic loading.

Incremental filling ratio of pipe pile groups in sandy soil

  • Formation of a soil plug in an open-ended pile is a very important factor in determining the pile behavior both during driving and during static loading. The degree of soil plugging can be represented by the incremental filling ratio (IFR) which is defined as the change in the plug length to the change of the pile embedment length. The experimental tests carried out in this research contain 138 tests that are divided as follows: 36 tests for single pile, 36 tests for pile group ($2{\times}1$), 36 tests for pile group ($2{\times}2$) and 30 pile group ($2{\times}3$). All tubular piles were tested using the poorly graded sand from the city of Karbala in Iraq. The sand was prepared at three different densities using a raining technique. Different parameters are considered such as method of installation, relative density, removal of soil plug with respect to length of plug and pile length to diameter ratio. The soil plug is removed using a new device which is manufactured to remove the soil column inside open pipe piles group installed using driving and pressing device. The principle of soil plug removal depends on suction of sand inside the pile. It was concluded that the incremental filling ratio (IFR) is changed with the changing of soil state and method of installation. For driven pipe pile group, the average IFR for piles in loose is 18% and 19.5% for L/D=12 and 15, respectively, while the average of IFR for driven piles in dense sand is 30% and 20% for L/D=12 and L/D=15 respectively. For pressed method of pile installation, the average IFR for group is zero for loose and medium sand and about 5% for dense sand. The group capacity increases with the increase of IFR. For driven pile with length of 450 mm, the average IFR % is about 30.3% in dense sand, 14% in medium and 18.3% for loose sand while when the length of pile is 300 mm, the percentage equals to 20%, 17% and 19.5%, respectively.
