서울 지역 비구니 스님의 식생활과 건강상태에 대한 조사 연구 (A Study of Dietary Life and State of Health of Buddhist Nuns in the Seoul Area)

  • This survey was conducted to investigate the dietary behavior and health status of Buddhist nuns. In this study, 100 Buddhist nuns in Seoul were selected. The dietary survey was focused on the diet in winter. The age distribution was as follows; 24% of the subjects were in their 20s, 45% in their 30s, 23% in their 40s, and 8% in their 50's and over, respectively. The percentage of the subjects living in temples close to the downtown area was 77% and the rest resided in areas remote to the downtown area. Over fifty percent of the subjects were satisfied with their diet at temple. And 59% of the subjects were eating a snack more than once a day. The snacks included fruits (60%), raditional tea (20%), coffee (9%), bread and cookies (4%), md rice cakes (3%), etc. Among food groups, the intake of green-vegetables and fruits were the highest and intake of milk and bean products were low which may cause calcium and protein deficiency. Most of the subjects believed that their health conditions were average or above average. About 50% of subjects didn't exercise at all. The frequencies of gastro-intestinal diseases and anemia were extremely high. About 50% of subjects took some form of medicine. To improve their health and nutritional status, it is required that they practice a good dietary behavior, maintain a balanced diet, and exercise regularly.

  • This study investigated the characteristics of outdoor advertising in downtown streets where the local governments improved and maintained. The purpose of this study was to examine how they met outdoor advertising guidelines in the basic landscape plan and how they contributed to the improvement of urban landscape. The outdoor advertising improvement project of local governments has contributed to the formation of downtown street landscape. However, as outdoor advertising is increasingly occupied in the landscape, it becomes a factor that hinders the landscape. Moreover, as outdoor advertising aims at advertisement, unique outdoor advertising has appeared, which is not matched with the surroundings. Therefore, it is necessary to take complementary measures. This study is a basic study to investigate the characteristics of outdoor advertising improvement which is a key element of urban landscape formation. Therefore, further study should be conducted on how an improved street image is evaluated.

도심지의 지체 시간을 고려한 차량 경로 계획에 관한 연구 (Vehicle Routing Problem with Delay Time in the Downtown)

  • 도심지내 이동시 지점 간 속도는 시간대와 해당 지점에 따라 차이가 발생한다. 또한 두 지점 사이에는 수많은 신호대기와 병목 구간 등으로 인한 지체가 빈번히 발생한다. 이러한 지체 시간은 차량 경로를 계획함에 있어서 상당히 중요한 요소로 작용한다. 하지만 기존 차량 경로 문제 중 지점 간 이동 거리와 이동 시간에 초점을 맞춘 연구에서 지점 이동시 발생하는 지체에 대해서는 연구가 활발히 진행되지 않았다. 이에 본 연구에서는 지체 시간을 고려한 현실적인 차량 경로 문제에 접근한다. 이를 위해 신호 대기 간 발생하는 지체 시간과 병목 구간에서 발생하는 지체 시간을 추정하는 모델을 제시한다. 추정된 결과를 반영한 최적 차량 경로를 도출하여 지체 시간을 고려하지 않은 경로와 결과를 비교해 봄으로써 본 연구에서 제시하고 있는 방법이 우수하며 효율적임을 제시한다.

제주시 원도심 골목공간의 특성에 관한 연구 - 시가지 재정비 제도를 중심으로 - (A Study on Characteristics of cul de sac Road in Old Settlements of Downtown Jeju - Focus on a Collaborative Development based on a neighborhood plan -)

  • The study is to find regional characteristics of the old town of Jeju city, "Mu-gun-sung," through researches of the status of the spatial structure in the cul de sac roads of the area. In particular, the status and characteristics of the area are clearly defined with the typology of the cul de sac roads based on the urban renewal regulations. The results are listed as follows: First, there are buildings from various periods in the area. Second, it is comparatively analyzed that there are the similarities and differences in Collaborative Development based on a neighborhood plan in Japan and Korea which pursue conservative renewals of the cule de sac roads. Third, the status and characteristics of the area are clarified through the analysis of the types of the cul de sac roads.

서울 시내 커피전문점에서 판매되는 커피의 이화학적 특성 및 항산화성 비교 (Comparison on Physicochemical Properties and Antioxidant Activities of Commonly Consumed Coffees at Coffee Shops in Seoul Downtown)

  • The physicochemical properties and antioxidant activities of commonly consumed espresso and regular coffees, at coffee shops in downtown Seoul, were investigated. Moreover, the characteristics between chain type coffee shops and owner shops were compared using t-tests. The serving temperature and volume of espresso were lower than those for regular coffees. Whereas, the pH and total acidity of espresso were higher than those for regular coffees. Coffees from chain shops, in particular, had a significantly higher pH and lower total acidity than those from owner shops. The L, a and b values of the regular coffees were higher than those of the espresso coffees. With the exception of the a value of regular coffees, all the color values of the coffees from owner shops were higher than those from the chain shops. The intensity of the brownness, soluble solid contents and total phenolic contents of the espresso coffees were about 7∼8, 8∼9 and 4 times higher, respectively, than those of regular coffees. In addition, the free radical scavenging capacities and antioxidant activities of the espresso coffees, using a chemiluminescence assay, were higher than those of regular coffees. Espresso coffees from chain shops, especially, had higher activities of free radical scavenging than those from owner shops. In conclusion, the characteristics of coffees from chain shops were significantly different from those from owner coffee shops.

지역문화자원을 활용한 문화도시 조성 방안 (A Study on Creating a Cultural City Using Local Cultural Resources)

  • This study was conducted to explore ways to create a cultural city using local cultural resources. To that end, the qualitative case study was applied. As the original city center had been declining due to the expansion and changes of city space caused by the changes of city function and social change, the old downtown of Andong city was selected as an example. For the result, research shows that the region's historical resources and culture have to blend and develop together with abundant cultural resources, such as contents development, city's symbolic space settings, differentiated cultural and artistic establishment, comfort in living, utilization of cultural infrastructure, and supporting facilities which are suitable for cultural diversity. In particular, we found that the importance of establishing a new city image that leads local residents willing to participate and of forming a consensus among tourists. Therefore, for the implementation of a cultural city, policies, undertaking, and administrative support that meet to the city's conditions and environment are required, and a further study on that issue is needed.

88 서울올림픽 마라톤 코스의 결정 과정과 도시 경관 이미지 전략 (Seoul 1988 Olympic Marathon Course Selection Process and the Image Strategy of the Urban Landscape)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the selection process of the marathon course and the progress of the related urban landscape design projects. The study revealed that the initially selected course of the downtown Namdaemum changed to the riverside course that runs around Gangnam and Han river. This change implied that showing the developed landscape of Seoul was much more considered than showing the traditional landscape of Seoul. The urban design plan had changed in 1986 after the marathon course was finalized. The development project of downtown was changed to Gangnam area including Teheran-ro. The city also redeveloped the substandard housing zones around the Olympic facilities. As a result, developed areas and modern apartments of the riverside was emphasized in international TV game broadcast. This embedded the industrialized and modernized image of Seoul to foreigners. Also, Koreans started to recognize the Han river as Seoul's representative landmark. Accordingly, Seoul succeeded in creating a modernized urban landscape image through the Olympic marathon course.

  • Community-based design is also becoming important in Korea recently. However, the existing design methods of the "conformity" method had the problem of excluding the participation of residents. Therefore, the "decision-making" method, in which residents participate in the design themselves, is drawing attention. Development of specific methods is important for residents to actively participate in "decision making." The theory of "Design Games" has long been studied as a method of community-based design in many countries. The old downtown areas of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province are increasing in number of buildings abandoned due to aging and declining. Abandoned buildings are causing many social problems. A decision-making method has been developed in Jeju for the regeneration design of abandoned buildings. This study conducted a design workshop involving residents on abandoned buildings in the old city center of Jeju City. The possibility and task of decision-making method were analyzed. As a result, participating residents were actively involved in decision-making. It also helped residents understand and learn about the attractions of the neighborhood. Meanwhile, there were also difficulties in communicating among some participants. This is a structural problem with this method. Studies have also shown that it is important for residents themselves to try to understand the neighborhood.

대전 원도심 소리풍경에 관한 의미론적 연구 - 대흥동 성당과 은행동 성심당 종소리를 중심으로 - (A Semantic Study on the Soundscape of the Historic Downtown of Daejeon - Focusing on the Bells of Daeheung-dong Cathedral and Enhang-dong Sungsimdang -)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 대전 원도심의 랜드마크이자 명소인 중구 대흥동 성당과 은행동 성심당 두 장소의 종소리가 지닌 사운드스케이프의 성격과 의미를 조명하는 것이다. 연구는 현장 답사 및 녹취, 관련 자료와 사운드스케이프 이론 등의 문헌연구에 의해 이루어졌다. 대전시는 20세기 초 일제강점기에 철도 대전역과 함께 생성된 도시로, 충남도청이 대전으로 이전하면서 대전역 인근에 위치한 중구 대흥동과 은행동 일대는 크게 발달하며 원도심을 형성하였다. 90년대에 서구로 주요 행정기관이 대거 이전하면서 대전 원도심은 쇠락의 길을 걷게 되었고 세종시 개발로 쇠락은 가속화되었다. 그런 가운데, 대흥동 성당과 한국전쟁 당시 한 피난민에 의해 설립된 성심당은 원주민들이 떠나간 대전 원도심을 굳건히 지키고 있다. 대흥동 성당은 일제 강점기에 설립되어 2019년 들어 100년의 역사를 지니게 된 지역 랜드마크로, 일제 강점기에 탄생한 대전시와 역사를 같이 하는 역사문화자산이다. 한국전쟁을 배경으로 탄생한 성심당 또한 설립 60년의 역사를 지닌 역사문화자산이자 대전 명소 1위로 선정된 지역 랜드마크이다. 인근 주택가에까지 들려오는 대흥동 성당의 종소리에서 출발한 이 탐구는, 대로 건너에 위치한 은행동 성심당의 종소리를 발견하기에 이르렀다. 본 고는 대흥동 성당과 은행동 성심당의 종소리가 시그널 사운드(signal sound)를 넘어 사운드마크(soundmark)의 성격을 지님을 머레이의 사운드스케이프 소리 범주를 통해 파악하였다. 나아가 비교적 최근의 EU 사운드스케이프 정의에 따라 두 종소리의 의미 분석을 시도했다. 두 종소리는 표층적 차원에서는 시그널사운드이지만 심층적 차원에서는 대전 원도심의 사운드마크이다. 외형적으로는 규모나 스케일, 빈도, 유명도에서 차이가 있으나, 두 종소리는 특별한 인연의 역사성과 장소성, 로컬리티와 선한 영향력 등에서 의미를 공유한다. 본 연구의 시사점은 대전 중구 원도심 도시 재생 혹은 도시 개발에서 두 장소가 시각적 랜드마크 뿐만 아니라 사운드마크로서도 지역 역사문화자산임을 밝힌 데 있다.

도시화에 따른 중국 연길시 토지이용의 변화 (Change of the Land Use in Yanji city of China in the Connection with Urbanization Process)

  • 본 연구는 중국 개혁개방 이후, 계속적으로 도시지역이 확장 발달하고 있는 연길시의 도시화에 따른 연길시 토지이용의 변화에 관한 연구이다. 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 지목별 토지이용변화에서 1978$\sim$2003년 사이의 경지는 $22.7km^2$가 줄어 23.2% 감소하였으며, 시가화 면적은 $16.7km^2$가 늘어 무려 111.3%나 증가하였다. 또 도시적 토지이용인 공장은 250.0%, 학교는 75.2%, 공원은 271.4%, 도로는 153.3%로 증가하였다; 용도별 토지이용에서는 시역이 확대됨에 따라 1978년 이후 상업지역이 620.0%로 가장 많이 증가하였다. 또 공업지역은 250.0%로 증가했으며, 주거지역은 43.8%로 증가하였다. 이 사이에 용도지역은 뚜렷한 증가 현상을 보였다; 지가에 의한 도시화는 최고 지가지대와 최저지대가 현저한 차이를 보인다. 도시화의 정도가 지역에 따라 현저한 차이를 보이고 있으며, 도시개발사업에 의해 시가지가 확산되어, 이로 인해 지가는 개발지의 입지에 따라 변화 해왔다; 지가분포도를 살펴보면 남, 서쪽 보다 동 북쪽으로의 개발이 먼저 이루어졌음을 짐작할 수 있다. 도심 주변부는 동쪽으로의 확장이 이루어지고 도시 외연부는 남, 서쪽으로의 확장이 이루어졌다. 주요간선도로를 따라 '신흥(新興)'을 중심으로 동서방향으로 확장되었다.
