The major movement block of the containers is range between apron and designation points on yard in container terminal. The yard tractor operated by human takes charge of it's movement in conventional container terminal. In unmanned container terminal, UCT(unmanned container transporter) has charge of the yard tractor's role and the navigation path is ordered from upper level control system. The unmanned container terminal facilities must have docking system that guided landing line to have high speed travelling and precision positioning in unmanned container terminal. The general method for docking uses the vision system with CCD camera, infra red, and laser. This paper describes the investigation for the developed docking method in view point of merit and demerit and introduces 속 result of developing the docking system with LSB(laser slit beam).
Fierce competition in today's global markets, the heightened expectation of customers have forced business enterprises to invest in, and focus attentions on, their Supply Chains, Also Cross Docking is an essential part of SC, and integrating Cross Docking with vehicle routing scheduling is needed to smoothly link the physical flow of SC, However, there is no the mathematical model which focuses on Cross Docking with vehicle routing scheduling. Therefore, the integrating model considers Cross Docking and vehicle routing scheduling will be developed in this paper. And the solution based on Tabu algorithm to this model will be provided.
Dockings of 4,5-diarylpyrroles into cyclooxygenase-1 and cyclooxygenase-2 were carried out by GOLD program. The sulfonyl groups bonded to 5-phenyl ring of 4,5-diarylpyrroles are directed to Arg513 of COX-2 and Tyr385 of COX-2 docking modes of pyrroles are different from COX-1. Tyr385 and Arg120 of COX-1 and COX-2 have been recognized as important residues. Val523 of COX-2 may be also important. A new COX-2 selective inhibitors could be designed from the docking study.
Recently many firms operate a cross-docking center in addition to run a distribution center to reduce logistics costs and maintain or enhance logistics service. However, it is true that many firms just operate their cross-docking centers as they are without any change, in spite of that the location of the cross-docking center should be changed and operated when the location of distribution center is changed and moved. This study presents the method that re-selects the location of the cross-docking center when the existing distribution center is changed. Describing the operation environment to apply the cross-docking system and the selection criteria of the cross-docking center under the environment of changeable logistics network, we define the simulation model which can analyze and select the location of the cross-docking center applied to a logistics field. The simulation model presents experiential algorithm selecting the location with the data of the demand point such as volume, transportation costs, and delivery distance.

The docking and recharging system for a mobile robot must guarantee the ability to perform its tasks continuously without human intervention. This paper proposes two docking mechanisms with localization error-compensation capability for an auto recharging system. The mechanisms use friction forces or magnetic forces between the docking parts of the robot and those of the docking station. It is a structure to improve the allowance ranges of lateral and directional docking offsets, in which the robot is able to dock into the docking station. In this paper, auto-recharging system and the features of the proposed mechanisms are verified with experimental results using simple homing method.
We have performed FlexX docking experiments to predict the best docking poses of 5-androst-16-en-3-ol or 5-androst-16-en-3-one to Boar salivary lipocalin (SAL). Since no steroids were found inside of the binding pocket of the X-ray structure of 1GM6, we tried to find docking structures after opening the pocket using the random tweak option implemented in SYBYL. This operation allowed the ligand to enter the pocket. The best poses generated from FlexX were different from the structures reported earlier, which calculated docking poses by manual docking followed by minimization. Analysis of docking poses allowed us to identify pharmacophores. From this information, virtual screening experiments using UNITY were performed. Among six candidates, 3-(3,7-dimethyloct-6-enylamino)propane-1,2-diol (Leadquest code name: 5755) was chosen for further development. Future work will involve synthesis of some derivatives of 5755 and biological experiments if any derivatives can control the biostimulation and improve reproductive efficiency in pigs.
Recently it is coming to be hish reality on visual system in ship-handling simulator depending on the technical development of 3D computer graphics. Even with high reality, it is possible that visual information presented seafarers through screen or display is not equivalent to the real world. In docking maneuvering, visual targets or obstructs are sighted close to ship's operator or within few hundred meters, so it might be possible to affect visual information such as the difference between both eyes' and single eye's visual sight. Because it is not possible to perceive of very slow ship's movement by visual in case of very large vessels, so the Doppler Docking SONAR and/or Docking Speed and Distance Measurement Equipment were developed and applied for safety docking maneuvering. By the way, the simulator training includes the ship's maneuvering training in docking, but in Ship-handling Simulator and also onboard, there are some limitations of perception of ship's movement with visual information. In this paper, perception of ship's movement with visual system in Ship-handling Simulator and competition of performances of visual systems that are conventional screen type with Fixed Eye-point system and Mission Simulator. We got some conclusions not only on the effectiveness for visual system but also on the human behavior in docking maneuver.
Since it is of great importance to know how a ligand binds to a receptor, there have been a lot of efforts to improve the quality of prediction of docking poses. Earlier efforts were focused on improving search algorithm and scoring function in a docking program resulting in a partial improvement with a lot of variations. Although these are basically very important and essential, more tangible improvements came from the reduction of search space. In a normal docking study, the approximate active site is assumed to be known. After defining active site, scoring functions and search algorithms are used to locate the expected binding pose within this search space. A good search algorithm will sample wisely toward the correct binding pose. By careful study of receptor structure, it was possible to prioritize sub-space in the active site using "receptor-based pharmacophores" or "hot spots". In a sense, these techniques reduce the search space from the beginning. Further improvements were made when the bound ligand structure is available, i.e., the searching could be directed by molecular similarity using ligand information. This could be very helpful to increase the accuracy of binding pose. In addition, if the biological activity data is available, docking program could be improved to the level of being useful in affinity prediction for a series of congeneric ligands. Since the number of co-crystal structures is increasing in protein databank, "Ligand-Guided Docking" to reduce the search space would be more important to improve the accuracy of docking pose prediction and the efficiency of virtual screening. Further improvements in this area would be useful to produce more reliable docking programs.
