A series of new dielectric polymers with phenyl, epoxy, and carboxylicacid functional groups was prepared via free-radical polymerization. The effect of such dielectric polymers with various functional groups on the performance of OTFT was investigated. The nonpolar groups of terpolymer made the surface of the dielectric layer more hydrophobic and improved the crystal growth of pentacene on the gate insulator, resulting in higher mobility. By controlling the functional group, the electric characteristics of OTFT performance was varied, with $0.00017-0.15\;cm^2/V{\cdot}s$ mobility.

Currently, the majority of commercial white LEDs are phosphor converted LEDs made of a blue-emitting chip and YAG yellow phosphor dispersed in organic silicone. However, silicone in high-power devices results in long-term performance problems such as reacting with water, color transition, and shrinkage by heat. Additionally, yellow phosphor is not applicable to warm white LEDs that require a low CCT and high CRI. To solve these problems, mixing of green phosphor, red phosphor and glass, which are stable in high temperatures, is common a production method for high-power warm white LEDs. In this study, we fabricated conversion lenses with LUAG green phosphor, SCASN red phosphor and low-softening point glass for high-power warm white LEDs. Conversion lenses can be well controlled through the phosphor content and heat treatment temperature. Therefore, when the green phosphor content was increased, the CRI and luminance efficiency gradually intensified. Moreover, using high heat treatment temperatures, the fabricated conversion lenses had a high CRI and low luminance efficiency. Thus, the fabricated conversion lenses with green and red phosphor below 90 wt% and 10 wt% with a sintering temperature of $500^{\circ}C$ had the best optical properties. The measured values for the CCT, CRI and luminance efficiency were 3200 K, 80, and 85 lm/w.
E (Electric) -glass fibers are the most widely used glass fibers, taking up 90 % of the long glass fiber market. However, very few papers have appeared on the physical characteristics of E-glass fibers and how they depend on the fiberizing temperature of fiber spinning. Glass fiber was fabricated via continuous spinning process using bulk E-glass. In order to fabricate the E-glass specimen, raw materials were put into a Pt crucible and melted at $1550^{\circ}C$ for 2hrs; mixture was then annealed at $621{\pm}10^{\circ}C$ for 2hrs. The transmittance and adaptable temperature for spinning of the bulk marble glass were characterized using a UV-visible spectrometer and a viscometer. Continuous spinning was carried out using direct melting spinning equipment as a function of the fiberizing temperature in the range of $1175{\sim}1250^{\circ}C$, while the winder speed was fixed at 500 rpm. Subsequently we investigated the physical properties of the E-glass fiber. The average diameter of the synthesized glass fiber was measured by optical microscope. The mechanical properties of the fiber were confirmed using a UTM (universal materials testing machine); the maximum tensile strength was measured and found to be $1843{\pm}449MPa$ at $1225^{\circ}C$.
In this study, the glass melting properties are evaluated to examine the possibility of using refused coal ore as replacement for ceramic materials. To fabricate the glass, refused coal ore with calcium carbonate and sodium carbonate in it (which are added as supplementary materials) is put into an alumina crucible, melted at $1,200{\sim}1,500^{\circ}C$ for 1 hr, and then annealed at $600^{\circ}C$ for 2 hrs. We fabricate a black colored glass. The properties of the glass are measured by XRD (X-ray diffractometry) and TG-DTA (thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis). Glass samples manufactured at more than $1,300^{\circ}C$ with more than 60 % of refused coal ore are found by XRD to be non-crystalline in nature. In the case of the glass sample with 40 % of refused coal ore, from the sample melted at $1,200^{\circ}C$, a sodium aluminum phosphate peak, a disodium calcium silicate peak, and an unknown peak are observed. On the other hand, in the sample melted at $1,300^{\circ}C$, only the sodium aluminum phosphate peak and unknown peak are observed. And, peak changes that affect crystallization of the glass according to melting temperature are found. Therefore, it is concluded that glass with refused coal ore has good melting conditions at more than $1,200^{\circ}C$ and so can be applied to the construction field for materials such as glass tile, foamed glass panels, etc.

In this study, ink-jet technology is applied to the emitter fabrication for surface-conduction electron-emitter display (SED). The general emiiter material of SED, palladium oxide (PdO), is prepared by calcination the mixture of solvent and precursors of platinum chlorine and platinum nitrate. With controlling the precursors and solvents, the PdO is formed below $400^{\circ}C$ which is required for SED process.
E-glass (electrical glass) fiber is the widely used as a reinforced composite material of PCBs (printed circuit boards). However, E-glass fiber is not stable because it has a dielectric constant of 6~7. On the other hand, D-glass (dielectric glass) fiber has a low dielectric constant of 3~4.5. Thus, it is adaptable for use as a reinforcing material of PCBs. In this study, we fabricated D-glass compositions with low dielectric constant, and measured the electrical and optical properties. In the glass composition, the boron content was changed from 9 to 31 wt%. To confirm the dependence of the dielectric constant on melting properties, D-glass with 22 wt% boron was melted at $1550^{\circ}C$ and $1650^{\circ}C$ for 2hrs. The glass melted at $1650^{\circ}C$ had a lower dielectric constant than the glass melted at $1550^{\circ}C$. Therefore, the D-glass with boron of 9~31 wt% was fabricated by melting at $1650^{\circ}C$ for 2hrs, and transparent clear glass was obtained. We identified the non-crystalline nature of the glass using an XRD (x-ray diffractometer) graph. The visible light transmittance values depending on the boron contents were measured and found to be 88.6 % ~ 82.5 %. Finally, the dielectric constant of the D-glass with 31 wt% boron was found to have decreased from 4.18 to 3.93.
In recent years, new materials and technology has been developed using single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) as an alternative to indium tin oxide (ITO) to fulfil the requirements towards novel technological drive. These technologies offer products having a broad range of conductivity, excellent transparency, neutral color tone, good adhesion, abrasion resistance as well as mechanical robustness. In addition, SWCNTs can be solution processed to replace the sophisticated vacuum techniques at high temperatures. In the present work, transparent conducting films were fabricated from the purified SWCNTs. Dispersion of purified SWCNTs was accomplished in 1,2-dichlorobenzene without using surfactants or polymers following ultrasonic process. We achieved coating of nanotubes film on poly ether suiphone (PES) for an average sheet resistance ~110 ${\Omega}/{\Box}$ of optical transmittance 80% at 550 nm. Conventional spin coating method was followed to fabricate films from the purified and dispersed nanotubes solution. The results will be presented.

The Authors have demonstrated highly efficient white organic light-emitting diodes using hybrid-spacer which was inserted between each emitting layer or/and codoped blue emitting layers with the different functional material. The characteristics of WOLEDs showed the maximum external quantum efficiency of 13.8%, power efficiency of 33.66 lm/W, and Commission Internationale de I'Eclairage coordinates of (x=0.36, y=0.37), respectively.
Decreasing the thermal resistance is the critical issue for high-brightness light-emitting diodes. In this paper, the effects of some design factors, such as chip size (24 and 35 mil), substrate material (AlN and high-temperature co-fired ceramic), and die-attach material (Ag epoxy and PbSn solder), on the thermal-dissipation characteristics were investigated. Using the thermal transient method, the temperature sensitivity parameter, $R_{th}$ (thermal resistance), and junction temperature were estimated. The 35-mil chip showed better thermal dissipation, leading to lower thermal resistance and lower junction temperature, owing to its smaller heat source density compared with that of the 24-mil chip. By adopting an AlN substrate and a PbSn solder, which have higher thermal conductivity, the thermal resistance of the 24-mil chip can be decreased and can be made the same as that of the 35-mil chip.

Polymide is widely used alignment material of recent commercial LCD panel structure. Generally, polyimide alignment material is classified soluble polyimide type and polyamic acid type with their main bond structure of solution state. specially, compared to polyamic acid alignment layer, soluble polyimide type alignment layer have excellent reliability during long term LCD driving cause of their high imidazation ratio(%), high voltage holding ratio(%) and low ion density. The other side, this type alignment materials has significant DC image stickicng side effect for using in-plane switching mode lcd structure cause of their slow DC discharging property. we applied inorganic salt to usual soluble polyimide type alignment layer and found out this technique had good DC image sticking property without any loss of reliability property in inplane switching LCD cell structure. This approach leads excellent DC image sticking property with maintaining high reliability property this approach confirmed improves an image sticking and a reliability simultaneously from the horizontality aligned LCD mode whose relatively bad image sticking property.
