Analyzing the ECG signal, we can find heart disease. Myocardial ischemia is a disorder of cardiac function caused by insufficient blood flow to the muscle tissue of the heart. Myocardial ischemia is inscribed on ST-segment of the ECG during and after patient takes exercise or is under stress, but after long time past, the ECG pattern is return to steady state. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor and analyze the ECG signal continuously for patient or aged people. Our primary purpose is the detection of temporary change of the ST-segment of ECG automatically. In the signal processing, the wavelet transform decomposes the ECG signal into high and low frequency components using wavelet function. Recomposing the high frequency bands including QRS complex, we can detect QRS complex more easily ...
Hemophilia is the most common coagulation disorder. It has a long history. Hemophilia A is caused by FVIII gene mutation, and hemophilia B by FIX gene mutation. Those genes are located on X chromosome long arm. Bleedings in hemophiliacs predominantly occur in joints and muscles. Because those site are insufficient in tissue factor to induce hemostasis. Among joints knee, ankle and elbow are most frequently affected because their synovial structure is vulnerable to injury compared to other joints. Hemophilia is diagnosed with factor assay. Severe hemophilia is below 1% of FVIII : C, moderate between 1% and 5%, mild over 5%. Carrier detection and prenatal diagnosis have been conducted with RFLP-based linkage analysis and DNA sequencing. Mainstay of treatment is factor replacement therapy so far. Bleedings can be controlled by infusion of factor concentrates. Hemophilc arthropathy and muscle contracture are representative sequelae. Complications of facotor replacement therapy are inhibitor development and infections. Hemophiliacs with inhibitor should be managed with large dose factor concentrate, bypassing agent, ITI and immunosuppression. Ultimately, hemophilia could be cured by gene therapy.
Bannayan-Riley-Ruvalcaba syndrome (BRRS) is one of the phosphatase and tensin homolog hamartoma tumor syndrome with a PTEN gene mutation. It is a rare dominant autosomal disorder characterized by cutaneous lipomas, macrocephaly, intestinal polyps, and developmental delay. Diagnosing this syndrome is important, because it may represent the pediatric phenotype of Cowden syndrome, in which there is an increased risk for malignant tumors in children. Until now, the prevalence of BRRS is unknown. Several dozen cases have been reported in the medical literature, but no case has been reported in Korea. Here we report a case of a 19-year-old girl who was diagnosed with BRRS because of macrocephaly, intellectual disability, and intestinal polyps. Her mother had similar findings and a PTEN mutation. Neither patient had mutations detected by conventional mutation-detection techniques, but a PTEN gene deletion was demonstrated by chromosomal microarray analysis.
Mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine(MPS) cause by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae has been recognized as a serious impediment to swine production due to chronic respiratory disorder which result in the weight loss and decreased feed conversion. The disease causes a great economic losses in pig industry by characterizing with high morbidity, low mortality, growth retardation and low feed efficiency. The present study was conducted to investigate the titers of antibody against M hyopneumoniae from the regional and seasonal groups of the slaughtered pigs by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). The result have shown that the average seropositive rate of M hyopneumoniae infection was 84.6% . The regional seropositive rate in Korea showed 87.4% in Kyonggj, 83.4n in Kangwon, 89.2% in Chungnam and 77.6% in Chungbuk area, respectively. Also the seasonal seropositive rate was appeared as 78.6% in spring,90.1% in summer, 76.9% in autumn and 83.8% in winter, respectively.

Anecdotal reports indicate that maladaptive patterns of Internet use constitute behavioral addiction. Internet addiction is characterized by unrestrained and awfully controlled engrossment or behaviors regarding internet access that lead to impairment, stress, dimensionally measured depression, indicators of social separation and anguish. By reviewing and analyzing approximately 100 articles we present evidence that are able to provide an overview of the main themes and proclivity covered by existing and relevant studies. The vital detection of this research unveils that many factors related to social, demographic, lifestyle changes related constructs have a bearing on the phenomenon of internet addiction strongly. This study not only reached certain conclusions for both theory and practice, but also defined future lines of research according to the gaps detected by the study's results. The main findings from this literature, though not conclusive, but will help the researcher and policymakers to obtain a better understanding and description of the problem faced by the youth and necessary to develop some remedies to lessen the addiction phenomenon.

The purpose of this study was to detect early children with hyperactivity which is one of the symptoms of Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This study used two methods: K-CBCL and observation of children's behavior. K-CBCL was done online by parents at home. For observation of children's behavior, the school asked children to wear a 3-axis accelerometer on their wrists. The data from K-CBCL and 3-axis accelerometer were analyzed and clustered to separate hypersensitive children from ordinary children. This experiment confirmed that 3-axis accelerometer which is one of Ubiquitous techniques and the K-CBCL questionnaire were helpful for detection of hypersensitive children.

Delirium is a neuropsychiatric disorder accompanying symptoms of hallucination, drowsiness, and tremors. It has high occurrence rates among elders, heart disease patients, and burn patients. It is a medical emergency associated with increased morbidity and mortality rates. That s why early detection and prevention of delirium ar significantly important. And This mental illness like delirium occurred by complex interaction between risk factors. In this paper, we identify risk factors and interactions between these factors for delirium using multi-factor dimensionality reduction (MDR) method.
Specific diagnosis of orthopedic disease can be diffcult in canine practice. Failure to detect the clinical signs of a disorder during physical examination of dogs with acute or chronic lameness is the most common reason for failure to make specific diagnosis. A 6-month-old, female doberman with history of swelling and non-weight-bearing lameness in the left forelimb was referred to Beterinary Teaching Hospital of Chungbuk National University. Physical examination, plain radiography, and conventional three-phase radionuclide bone scan were performed in the patient. Based on the physical exam and radiography, this case was diagnosed as elbow strain and subluxation. Conventional three-phase bone scan detected soft tissue inflammation and osteochondral lesions of elbow joint, and revealed good agreement with clinical findings. Therefore, conventional three-phase bone scan was able to provide the precise information about inflammation of soft tissue and osteochondral lesions of joint.
$Sj{\ddot{o}}gren^{\prime}s$ syndrome (SjS) is a common autoimmune disorder characterized by lymphocytic infiltration in the salivary and lacrimal glands, resulting in severe dry mouth or eyes. As a result, most of SjS patients suffer from oral dryness and can visit the department of oral medicine with or without diagnosis of SjS. Therefore, oral medicine specialists should know clues, which may indicate the diagnosis of SjS from the clinical and laboratory investigations. By the recent SjS criteria, SjS can be diagnosed by focus score, ocular staining, Schirmer's test, unstimulated whole saliva flow rate, and anti-SSA/Ro antibodies. The aim of this article is to review the diagnostic criteria, clinical investigation, and basic aspect related to SjS and to make oral medicine specialists play an important role in the detection of emerging SjS.
This article aimed to summarize the impact and burden of pediatric postintensive care syndrome (PICS-p) in the physical, mental, cognitive, and social health domains after a review of the current pediatric literature in MEDLINE and PubMed. We also aimed to elucidate the limitations of the current evaluation tools used in limited-resource settings. PICS-p can impact a child's life for decades. Most validated tools are time-consuming, require qualifications, and expertise, are often limited to older children, and can evaluate only one domain. A novel, simple, and comprehensive surveillance tool can aid healthcare providers in the early detection and intervention of PICS-p. Further studies should validate and refine the parameters that will enhance the outcomes of pediatric intensive care unit survivors.
