천리안 위성의 기상탑재체 보정을 위한 달 영상 획득 방안 (Moon Imaging for the Calibration of the COMS Meteorological Imager)

  • 천리안위성은 기상탑재체, 해양탑재체 그리고 Ka-밴드 탑재체를 장착한 다목적 정지궤도 위성이다. 기상탑재체 가시채널의 품질을 향상 시기키 위하여 알베도(Albedo) 관측 정보를 주로 사용하며 경우에 따라서 달 영상을 보조수단으로 사용하는 것을 고려하고 있다. 그러나 궤도상 시험 이후 별도의 달 영상을 촬영하는 것은 권장되지 않는다. 별도의 관측을 수행할 경우 해당 기간 동안 기상 영상 획득이 불가능하기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 달이 지구 근처에 있을 때 전구촬영을 통해 달의 영상을 획득하는 방법을 고려하였다. 이 경우도 달 영상을 얻는 것이 쉽지 않은데 그 이유는 기상탑재체는 스캐닝 형태의 센서인 반면 달은 계속 이동하기 때문이다. 또한 기상탑재체의 관측영역 내에 있지 않거나 지구 뒤에 위치한 경우 이미지를 얻을 수 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 전구촬영을 통해 달 영상을 얼마나 효과적으로 얻을 수 있는 지에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 달 영상 획득시간을 예측하기 위한 방법론을 기술하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 얻어진 결과들을 정리하였다.

상대 재료의 경도를 고려한 DLC필름의 트라이볼로지 특성 (A Study on Tribological Characteristics of DLC Films Considering Hardness of Mating Materials)

  • DLC films were deposited on Si wafer by RF plasma assisted CVD using CH4 gas. Tribological tests were conducted using rotating type ball on disk friction tester in dry air. Four kinds of mating balls were used. The mating balls were made with stainless steel but apply different annealing conditions to achieve different hardness conditions. Testing results in all load conditions showed that the harder the mating materials, the lower the friction coefficient among the three kind of martensite mating balls. In case of austenite balls, the friction coefficients were lower than fully annealed martensite ball. The high friction coefficient in soft martensite balls seems to be caused by the larger contact area between DLC film and ball. The wear tracks of DLC films and mating balls could have proven that effect. Measuring the wear track of both DLC films and mating balls have similar tendency comparing to the results of friction coefficients. Wear rate of austenite balls were also smaller than that of fully annealed martensite ball. The results of effect of applying load showed, the friction coefficients were become decrease when the applying loads exceed critical load conditions. The wear track of mating balls showed that some material transfer occurs from DLC film to mating ball during the high friction process. Raman spectra analysis showed that transferred material was a kind of graphite and contact surface of DLC film seems to undergo phase transition from carbon to graphite during the high friction process.

효율적인 병렬 고차원 색인구조 설계 (Design of an Efficient Parallel High-Dimensional Index Structure)

  • 일반적으로 이미지나 공간 데이터베이스와 같은 다차원의 특징을 갖는 데이터들은 대용량의 저장공간을 요구한다. 이 대량의 데이터를 하나의 워크스테이션에 저장하고 검색을 수행하는 데는 한계가 있다. 최근 활발히 연구되고 있는 병렬 컴퓨팅 환경에서 이들에 대한 저장 및 검색을 수행한다면 훨씬 더 높은 성능 향상을 가져 올 수 있을 것이다. 이 논문에서는 기존에 존재하는 병렬 컴퓨팅 환경의 장점을 최대한 이용하는 병렬 고차원 색인구조를 제안한다. 제안하는 색인구조는 nP(프로세서)-nD(디스크)와 lP-nD의 결합 형태인 nP-n$\times$mD의 구조라고 볼 수 있다. 노드 구조는 팬-아웃을 증가시키고 트리의 높이를 줄일 수 있도록 설계되었다. 또한 I/O의 별렬성을 최대화하는 범위 탐색 알고리즘을 제안하고 이것을 K-최근접 탐색 알고리즘에 적용하여 탐색 성능향상을 꾀한다. 마지막으로, 다양한 환경에서의 실험을 통해 제안하는 색인구조의 탐색 성능을 테스트하고 기존에 제안된 병렬 다차원 색인구조와의 비교를 통해 제안한 방법의 우수함을 보인다.

Halogen Light Curing Unit과 Light Emitting Diodes Curing Unit을 이용하여 중합되어진 복합레진의 마멸 특성 비교 (Wear of Resin Composites Polymerized by Conventional Halogen Light Curing and Light Emitting Diodes Curing Units)

  • In this study, the wear characteristics of five different dental composite resins cured by conventional halogen light and LED light sources were investigated. Five different dental composite resins of Surefil, Z100, Dyract AP, Fuji II LC and Compoglass were worn against a zirconia ceramic ball using a pin-on-disk type wear tester with 15N contact force in a reciprocal sliding motion of sliding distance of 10mm/cycle at 1Hz under the room temperature dry condition. The wear variations of dental composite resins were linearly increased as the number of cycles increased. It was observed that the wear resistances of these specimens were in the order of Dyract AP > Surefil > Compoglass > Z100 > Fuji II LC. On the morphological observations by SEM, the large crack formation on the sliding track of Fuji II LC specimen was the greatest among all resin composites. Dyract AP showed less wear with few surface damage. There is no significant difference in wear performance between conventional halogen light curing and light emitting diodes curing sources. It indicates that a light emitting diodes (LED) source can replace a halogen light source as curing unit for composite resin restorations.

경계윤활에서 기계 부품 소재의 트라이볼로지적 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Tribological Characteristics of Machine Component in Boundary Lubrication)

  • The friction and wear between machine components directly influence the energy loss and failure in various machines. Therefore, there is always a demand for finding methods to reduce friction and wear. Of the possible methods, lubrication is a widely used method for reducing friction and wear. In the case of lubrication, it is important to analyze the tribological behavior in the boundary lubrication because most of friction and wear occurs in the boundary lubrication regime. Cast iron has been regarded as a good material for industrial applications due to the excellent mechanical properties and high productivity. Especially, nodular cast iron is a material that shows better mechanical properties and wear-resistance compared with cast iron due to inclusion of spheroidal graphite. In this work, we investigated the tribological characteristics of nodular cast iron with respect to different counter parts in boundary lubrication regime. Sliding tests were conducted with SUJ2, ZrO2, Si3N4 balls as counter parts using a pin-on-disk type tribotester. The results showed different friction and wear behaviors with different counter parts. The case of ZrO2 showed the lowest wear rate in specimen and no significant ball wear. In case of SUJ2, it showed similar wear rate with ZrO2 case in specimen and the highest friction coefficient. The case of Si3N4 showed the lowest friction coefficient, 33% lower than the case of SUJ2. It showed 16.9 times larger wear rate in specimen and 43% larger wear rate in ball compared to that of the SUJ2 case.

Imipenem 비감수성 Carbapenemase 생성 Pseudomonas aeruginosa에 의한 항생제 내성유형과 분자생물학적인 특성 (Patterns of Antimicrobial Resistance and Genotyping of Carbapenemase-producing Imipenem-nonsusceptible Pseudomonas aeruginosa)

  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa are important nosocomial pathogens. Their resistance to carbapenem is increasing and causing concerns in Korea. An increasing prevalence of carbapenem resistance mediated by acquired carbapenemase is being reported. Over a 10 month-period from July 2007 to April 2008, 32 strains of imipenem-nonsusceptible P. auruginosa were isolated from Kangwon National University Hospital. To determine the prevalence and genotypes of the carbapenemase-producing clinical isolates, the antibiotic susceptibility was determined by Microscan Walkaway 96 SI System and the carbapenem activity was detected by the modified Hodge test and the imipenem-EDTA-SMA double-disk synergy test. The metallo-${\beta}$-lactamase gene and OXA-type ${\beta}$-lactamase gene reported in Korea were detected by PCR. As for the result of PCR, 30 isolates of P. aeruginosa were found to have $bla_{IMP-1}$-like and 1 isolate was found to have $bla_{IMP-1}$-like and $bla_{IMP-2}$. No clinical isolates were found to have $bla_{SIM-1}$, $bla_{OXA-23}$-like and $bla_{OXA-24}$-like. Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD)-PCR and dendrogram for genetical similarity to band patterns of each clinical isolates were examined. P. aeruginosa were grouped into 7 clusters of up to 50% of similarity index. In the P. aeruginosa group, PS3 was resistant to the most antibiotics, PS1 was susceptible to the most antibiotics. PS7 was resistant to aztreonam unlike other groups. This is the first report of prevalence of carbapenemase in Chuncheon.

슬러지 저감을 위한 혐기성 소화조 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Improvement in an Anaerobic Digester for Sludge Reduction)

  • 국내에서 운영중인 혐기성 소화조의 가장 큰 문제점은 낮은 소화효율이며, 이에 대한 원인은 낮은 유기물 투입농도, 소화조내의 낮은 교반 효율, 잉여슬러지의 난분해성 등이다. 본 연구에서는 혐기성 소화설비의 효율성을 높이기 위하여 기존의 혐기성 소화 시스템에 농축 및 교반, 오존 가용화 설비를 설치하고, 기존의 2단 소화조에서 단단소화조로 개선함으로서 소화효율 및 바이오가스의 발생량을 증대 시키고자 하였다. 이러한 개선을 통하여 농축시스템의 슬러지 농도는 2.6배 향상되었음을 확인하였으며, 농축효율은 3.0배 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 기계식 교반으로 사공간이 줄어들었음을 확인하였으며, 혐기성 소화조 내 소화가스 발생량도 평균 $193.8m^3$/일에서 평균 $386.0m^3$/일로 향상된 것을 확인하였다. 소화효율은 평균 47.6%에서 54.6%로 향상되어진 것으로 나타났으며, VS제거당 소화가스 발생량은 평균 $0.30Nm^3/kg$ VS removal에서 $0.42Nm^3/kg$ VS removal로 증대되어진 것으로 나타났다.

기구학적 운동이 돼지 무릎 관절연골의 마찰계수 변화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Kinematic Motion on Changes in Coefficients of Friction of Porcine Knee Joint Cartilage)

  • In this study, the frictional behaviors of articular cartilage against a Co-Cr alloy in two types of kinematic motions were compared. Cartilage pins were punched from the femoral condyles of porcine knee joints, and Co-Cr alloy disks were machined from orthopedic-grade rods and polished to a surface roughness ($R_a$) of 0.002. Friction tests were conducted by using a pin-on-disk-type tribotester in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) under pressures of 0.5, 1, and 2 MPa. All tests were performed in the repeat pass rotational (ROT) and the linear reciprocal (RCP) sliding motions with the same sliding distance and speed of 50 mm/s. The coefficients of friction of the cartilage against the Co-Cr alloy increased with the sliding time in both kinematic motions for all contact pressures. The maximum coefficients of friction in RCP motion were 1.08, 2.82, and 1.96 times those in ROT motion for contact pressures of 0.5, 1, and 2 MPa, respectively. As the contact pressure increased, the coefficients of friction gradually increased in RCP motion, whereas they decrease and then increased in ROT motion. The interaction between the directional change of the shear stress and the orientation of collagen fiber in the superficial layer of the cartilage could affect the change in the frictional behaviors of the cartilage. A large difference in the coefficients of friction between the two kinematic motions could be interpreted as differences in the directional change of shear stress at the contact surface.

LiF:Mg,Cu,Na,Si Teflon TLD의 열처리 특성 (Anneal Characteristics of LiF:Mg,Cu,Na,Si Teflon TLDs)

  • 열처리 특성의 연구는 열형광선량계를 재 사용하는데 있어서 중요하다. 최근 개발된 디스크 형태 (직경 4.5 mm, 두께 약 $90mg/cm^2$)의 LiF:Mg,Cu,Na,Si Teflon TLD의 열처리 조건을 구하기 위하여 조사전열처리, 판독과정 및 판독 후 열처리의 순서로 연구하였다. Teflon TLD의 감마선 조사는 $^{60}Co$ 0.1 Gy로 하였다. LiF:Mg,Cu,Na,Si Teflon TLD의 열처리 특성의 연구는 전기로와 판독장치를 이용하여 열처리 온도와 열처리 시간을 변화시키면서, 측정반복횟수에 따른 열형광강도 변화를 관찰하는 방법으로 수행하였다. LiF:Mg,Cu,Na,Si Teflon TLD의 열처리 조건은 조사전 열처리를 $80^{\circ}C$에서 1 시간 한 후 $280^{\circ}C$까지 판독하고 판독 후 열처리를 $270^{\circ}C$에서 20 초간 하는 것으로 결정되었고, 이 조건에서 10 회 반복측정시 원래의 열형광강도는 5%의 감소를 보였다.
