소셜 네트워크에서 행위 분석을 통한 사용자 영향력 판별 기법 (User Influence Discrimination Scheme Using Activity Analysis in Social Networks)

  • 소셜 네트워크에서 발생하는 방대한 데이터를 이용해 사용자 영향력을 판별하기 위한 기법이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 소셜 네트워크에서 신뢰성을 고려한 사용자 영향력 판별 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 사용자의 소셜 행위를 통해 신뢰성 점수를 측정하고 신뢰할 수 있는 사용자들만을 모아 네트워크를 간소화한다. 또한, 사용자간의 연결정도에 따라 직-간접적인 영향력을 반영하여 사용자 영향력을 도출한다. 이를 통해 사용자 영향력 판별함으로써 사용자 영향력의 확산성을 향상시킨다. 제안하는 기법의 우수성을 보이기 위해 제안하는 기법과 기존 기법을 신뢰성과 사용자 영향력 확산성 측면에서 성능평가를 수행한다.

  • Near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) was applied for discrimination according to geographical origin (Korea, China) of herb drugs. Herbal medicine has an important role in clinical therapy in Asian countries such as Korea and China. The objective of this study is to provide a convenient and accurate method to determinate geographical origin (Korea, China) of herbal medicine for quality control whose quality is generally different according to geographical origin. A rapid, nondestructive and accurate discrimination was achieved by NIRS. Second derivative spectra of herb drugs were subjected to discriminant analysis. Herbal medicine drugs such as Cassia Semen, Ganoderma and Smilacis Rhizoma was discriminated accurately according to geographical origin using PLS regression method.

Sensitivity studies on a novel nuclear forensics methodology for source reactor-type discrimination of separated weapons grade plutonium

  • A recently published nuclear forensics methodology for source discrimination of separated weapons-grade plutonium utilizes intra-element isotope ratios and a maximum likelihood formulation to identify the most likely source reactor-type, fuel burnup and time since irradiation of unknown material. Sensitivity studies performed here on the effects of random measurement error and the uncertainty in intra-element isotope ratio values show that different intra-element isotope ratios have disproportionate contributions to the determination of the reactor parameters. The methodology is robust to individual errors in measured intra-element isotope ratio values and even more so for uniform systematic errors due to competing effects on the predictions from the selected intra-element isotope ratios suite. For a unique sample-model pair, simulation uncertainties of up to 28% are acceptable without impeding successful source-reactor discrimination. However, for a generic sample with multiple plausible sources within the reactor library, uncertainties of 7% or less may be required. The results confirm the critical role of accurate reactor core physics, fuel burnup simulations and experimental measurements in the proposed methodology where increased simulation uncertainty is found to significantly affect the capability to discriminate between the reactors in the library.

Study of n/γ discrimination using 3He proportional chamber in high gamma-ray fields

  • The $^3He$ proportional chamber is widely used for neutron measurement owing to its high neutron detection efficiency and simplicity for gamma-ray rejection. In general, the neutron and gamma-ray signals obtained from the $^3He$ proportional chamber can be easily separated by the difference in the pulse heights. However, for a high gamma-ray field, the gamma-ray signal cannot be precisely eliminated by the pulse height due to gamma-ray pulse pileup which causes the pulse height of gamma-ray pulse to increase and making the pulses due to neutrons and gamma rays indistinguishable. In this study, an improved algorithm for $n/{\gamma}$ discrimination using a parameter, which is the ratio of the rise time to the pulse height, is proposed. The $n/{\gamma}$ discrimination performance of the algorithm is evaluated by applying it to $^{252}Cf$ neutron signal separation from various gamma-ray exposure rate levels ranging 0.1-5 R/h. The performance is compared to that of the conventional pulse-height analysis method in terms of the gamma elimination ratio. The suggested algorithm shows better performance than the conventional one by 1.7% (at 0.1 R/h) to 70% (at 5 R/h) for gamma elimination.

부모-영아 놀이 상호작용 관찰척도 개발을 위한 연구 (Developing the Parent Play Interaction Observation Scale (PPIOS) for Toddlers)

  • Objective: This study aimed to develop a parent play interaction observation scale (PPIOS-Toddler) and analyze it in terms of item discrimination, reliability, and validity. Methods: The subjects of the study were 97 toddlers and mothers. This scale consisted of three categories, six domains and 22 items on a 5-point scale. For the item discrimination of the observation scale, an independent standard t-test was conducted to analyze the significant difference in average between the upper and lower groups for each item. The reliability of the observation scale was calculated by Cronbach's α, the intra-item agreement, and the validity was examined through content validity, the correlation between subdomains and total scores, and official validity using PICCOLO. Results: In item discrimination analysis, all items exhibited differences between upper and lower groups. The overall internal agreement for the observation scale was 0.95, with factor-specific internal agreement ranging from 0.83 to 0.95. The observation scale demonstrated notable correlations between total scores and sub-factors (0.45 to 0.93) and significant correlations with PICCOLO total scores (0.66 to 0.86). Conclusion/Implications: The study successfully verified the item discrimination, reliability, and validity of the Parent Play Interaction Observation Scale (PPIOS-Toddler).

  • This paper adopts the psychoacoustical methodology to evaluate the acoustical qualities of rooms and describes some of the results of an attempt to develop such a test. In order to investigate the effect of hall response to subjects, a subjective experiment was performed in artificially simulated sound fields. Pairs of sounds having differences in duration/frequency were presented to a subject and the subject's responses were recorded. The stimuli were varied through an auralization system that simulates three different rooms. It was found that duration/frequency discrimination is influenced by the room conditions and that these discrimination procedures may form the basis for assessment of room acoustics.

의료영상진단기의 현황과 전망

  • A new method of digital image analysis technique for discrimination of cancer cell was presented in this paper. The object image was the Thyroid eland cells image that was diagnosed as normal and abnormal (two types of abnormal: follicular neoplastic cell, and papillary neoplastic cell), respectively. By using the proposed region segmentation algorithm, the cells were segmented into nucleus. The 16 feature parameters were used to calculate the features of each nucleus. A9 a consequence of using dominant feature parameters method proposed in this paper, discrimination rate of 91.11% was obtained for Thyroid Gland cells.

  • Human visual emotion were investigated by analyzing HRV from ECG signals, which were varied by the visual stimuli. In this paper, twelve university students experienced visual emotion by pictures from IAPS. ECG and subjective rating were obtained for human emotion evaluation. For determination of HRV, ECG was extracted into HF and LF via power spectrum analysis. The results showed that HRV is good for discrimination between positive and negative emotions.

  • This study was performed to analyze the item characteristics of competency inventory for designer (CID), which Gil (2011) developed for measurement of design competency. To accomplish the purpose of this study, general partial credit (GPC) model based on polytomous item response theory was applied. The findings were as follows: First, CID is a reliable instrument for measuring design competency. Second, most items of CID have low item discrimination and average item difficulty according to the GPC model. Especially, there are some problems to have low item discrimination in view of validation. To improve the goodness of CID, we will need to examine why CID has low item discrimination.

실험에 의한 음성·음악 분류 특징의 비교 분석 (Comparison & Analysis of Speech/Music Discrimination Features through Experiments)

  • 본 논문에서는 각 특징 파라미터 조합의 음성/음악 분류 성능을 비교 분석하였다. 음향신호는 3가지(음성, 음악, 음성+음악)로 분류하였다. 본 실험에서는 분류 특징으로 멜캡스트럼, 에너지, 영교차 3가지 형태가 사용되었다. 음성/음악 분류 성능이 가장 좋은 특징간의 상호 조합을 비교 분석하였다. 실험결과 멜캡스트럼, 영교차 조합이 가장 좋은 결과(음성: 95.1%, 음악: 61.9%, 음성+음악: 55.5%)를 보인다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
