전동형 진동식 압축기 토출밸브의 동적해석 (Dynamic Analysis of a Discharge Valve for Electrodynamic Oscillating Compressor)

  • Discharge valve mechanism for an electrodynamic-oscillating compressor is different from that of a conventional reciprocating compressor. It has a larger discharge port area, heavier valve mass and stiffer valve spring comparing with the reciprocating one. Since the motion of piston is not kinematically restricted as in conventional reciprocating compressors, the stroke of the piston can change sensitively with supplied boltage and load. Thus piston can impact with discharge valve occasionally. This work deals on dynamic analysis of discharge valve considering all of those different characteristics. Impact is considered by a spring-mass model, and the pressure fluctuation at the both sides of the valve is also included considering the discharge port area and valve spring preload. It is assumed that piston moves in the region of between top and bottom dead center not by calculating piston motion from an electrodynamic equation but by getting values through experiment. Discharge pressure fluctuation is calculated using Helmholtz modeling. Finally, dynamic model for a discharge valve is constructed. In order to validate the model analysis results, the valve motion is experimentally measured and compared with analysis.

한반도 중부권 지각물질의 구조와 물성연구(4) : 충남도 지하수 개발 현황과 지질특성 (Structure and Physical Properties of Earth Crust Material in the Middle of Korean Peninsula(4) : Development Status of Groundwater and Geological Characteristics in Chungnam Province)

  • 지하수 개발을 위한 한국 농어촌진흥공사 충남지사의 축적 자료로부터 충청남도 지역의 지하수 개발 현황을 각 군별 지역에 따라 지질특성과 비교, 검토하였다. 조사관정 212개의 관측자료로부터는 집수면적과 양수량의 관계를 살펴보고, 개발판정 344개 관측자료로부터는 시추공 심도와 양수량 관계, 케이싱 심도와 양수량 관계, 암석종류와 양수량 관계, 그리고 선구조 분포와의 관계들을 검토하였다. 집수면적과 양수량의 관계는 일정한 관련성을 보이지 않으며, 이는 충적층보다 암반층 지하수가 많을 때는 지표의 집수면적의 영향이 작음을 의미한다. 시추공 심도와 양수량의 관계는 충적층 지하수의 경우에는 충적층이 깊을수록 지하수량이 많으나, 암반층 지하수의 경우에는 선형적으로 약간씩 증가하는 경향이 있으며, 풍화대 심도는 케이싱 심도로 추정할 수 있다. 암석 종류의 영향은 별 차이가 없으나 결정질 암석인 화강암과 편마암이 퇴적암과 편암에서보다 평균 양수량이 약간 많은 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 파쇄대 효과가 크다는 것을 의미한다. 암석종류, 케이싱 심도등이 비슷하면서도 양수량의 차이가 큰 홍성군과 부여군에서는 선구조 분포를 비교하였으며, 선구조의 교차점 밀도나 길이 밀도가 높은 홍성군의 양수량이 더 크게 나타났다. 따라서 심층 지하수 개발 방향은 집수면적이나 암석종류에 착안하기 보다는 선구조, 파쇄대 등을 파악하기 위하여 미지형 분석을 수행하고, 물리탐사 자료를 참고하여 추진함이 바람직하다고 판단된다.

도농복합지역 지하수 함양과 배출에 대한 연구 (Groundwater Recharge and Discharge in the Urban-rural Composite Area)

  • This study was conducted to identify groundwater recharge and discharge amounts of a representative urban-rural composite area located in Yongin city, Kyounggi-do, Korea. Groundwater recharge would be affected by mainly two processes in the study area: rainfall and leakage from public water pipelines including water-supply and sewage system. Groundwater recharge rate was estimated to be 13.5% by applying annual groundwater level data from two National Groundwater Monitoring Stations to the master regression curve method. Subsequently, the recharge amounts were determined to be $13,253{\times}10^3m^3/yr$. Leakage amounts from water-supply and sewage system were estimated to be $3,218{\times}10^3$ and $5,696{\times}10^3m^3/yr$, respectively. On the whole, a total of the recharge amounts was $22,167{\times}10^3m^3/yr$, of which 60% covers rainfall recharge and 40% pipeline leakage. Groundwater discharge occurred through three processes in the composite area: baseflow, well pumping, and discharge from urban infrastructure including groundwater infiltration into sewage pipeline and artificial extraction of groundwater to protect underground facilities from submergence. Discharge amounts by baseflow flowing to the Kiheung agricultural reservoir and well pumping were estimated to be $382{\times}10^3$ and $1,323{\times}10^3m^3/yr$, respectively. Occurrence of groundwater infiltration into sewage pipeline was rarely identified. Groundwater extraction amounts from the Bundang subway line as an underground facility were identified as $714{\times}10^3m^3/yr$. Overall, a total of the discharge amounts was determined to be $2,419{\times}10^3m^3/yr$, which was contributed by 29% of artificial discharge. Even though groundwater budget of the composite area was identified to be a surplus, it should be managed for a sound groundwater environment by changing deteriorated pipelines and controlling artificial discharge amounts.

  • Electrical properties such as surface flashover discharge and discharge degradations of insulating materials for superconducting cable have been investigated. It is found that the surface voltage is proportional to /$\^$0.7/(/: discharge length) in LHe(Liquid Helium). V-t characteristic LHe were a n=5.5 that was less than liquid N$_2$. After applied AC voltage, the surface condition of polymer films were observed non-eroded area and eroded area. The eroded area is depending on the applied voltage. In case of LHe, the crack was observed.

  • It is essential to obtain accurate and highly reliable streamflow data for water resources planning, evaluation and management as well as design of hydraulic structures. A new discharge estimation method, which is named 'non-dimensional velocity distribution and index-velocity method,' was proposed in this research. This method showed very close channel discharges which were calculated with the exiting velocity-area method. When velocity-area method is used to estimate channel discharge, it is required to observe point velocities at every desired point and vertical using a current meter like Price-AA. However 'non-dimensional velocity distribution and index-velocity method' is used, it become optional to observe point velocities at every desired point and vertical. But this method can not be applied for the cases of very complex and strongly asymmetric channel cross-sections because non-dimensional velocity distribution by entropy concept may be quite biased from that of natural rivers.

Swimming behavior analysis of small box jellyfish (Carybdea brevipedalia)

  • In this study, the swimming behavior of a small box jellyfish (Carybdea brevipedalia), which consists of inhaling external seawater and expelling it through its mouth to generate forward thrust, was characterized using particle image velocimetry (PIV). The flow rate and structure during the suction and discharge process were quantitatively analyzed. During swimming, there was a change in the ratio of the internal area during inhalation and expulsion. Specifically, there was a 1.10-fold difference between the maximum area after inhalation and the minimum area after discharge. The maximum distance traveled after discharge was inversely proportional to the size of the inner area, with a 2.48-fold difference in the minimum distance traveled after suction. Depending on the propulsion stage, the inner area decreased and then increased in proportion to the moving distance and speed. The moving distance of the small box jellyfish was measured for each period. The speed for each swimming stage increased and then decreased at intervals of 0.15 to 0.2 seconds, and the suction and discharge cycle period was measured at approximately 0.5 seconds. Collectively, our findings provide a methodological basis for studying the swimming behavior of small and highly active trailing jet jellyfish, as well as the biological mechanisms that determine this behavior.

  • In this paper, the ozonizer is equipped with three electrodes ( two external electrodes, central electrode ), and AC high voltage which has 180[$180^{circ}C$] phase difference is applied to two H V. Ozone discharge and generation charactristics have been investigated in accordance with output voltage of power supply, flow-rate, discharge power. Ozone concentration, generation and yield were proportionally increased with increasing discharge area size.

  • Carbon nitride films were grown on Si (100) substrate by a laser-electric discharge method with/without a magnetic field assistance. The magnetic field leads to vapor plume plasma expending upon the ambient arc discharge plasma area. Influence of the magnetic field has resulted in increased of a crystallite size int he films due to bombardment (heating) of Si substrates by energetic carbon and nitrogen species generated during cyclotron motion of electrons in the discharge zone. The surface morphology of the films with a deposition time of 2 hours was studied using a scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In order to determine the structural crystalline parameters, X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to analysis the grown films.

  • Discharge characteristics of pollutant loadings from domestic systems were estimated in the catchment of a reclaimed area, Saemankeum. Pollutant loadings was estimated according to the discharge pattern of small treatment facilities. Recycled-fertilizer system was dominant in this area.

  • As one of the phil-environmental alternative plan of Saemankeum project, gradual development is recommended. The procedure of the Saemankeum project start with the completion of 32 km long sea-dikes which contains two discharge gates until the year 2004. Second step is pre-development of Mangyoung area permitting temporary intrusion of sea water, i.e. tides, by the opening of discharge gate until the environmental evaluation on the water quality of this area secures permanent meet to government's water quality standard. Therefore this study is to predict the future condition of this tidal flat with the point of view tidal environments, salt, water quality, soil mechanics, etc. of Mangyoung area when the sea water still passed in the inland reservoir through the discharge gate.
