A novel non-linear logical torque sharing function (TSF) is presented. To improve efficiency and to reduce torque ripple in commutation region, only a phase torque under commutation is regulated to produce a uniform torque. And the torque developed by the other phase remains with the previous state under a current limit of the motor and drive. If the minimum change of a phase torque reference can not satisfy the total reference torque, two-phase changing mode is used. Since a phase torque is constant and the other phase torque is changed at each rotor position, total torque error can be reduced within a phase torque error limit. And the total torque error is dependent on the change of phase torque. To consider non-linear torque characteristics and to suppress a tail current at the end of commutation region, the incoming phase current is changed to torque increasing direction, but the outgoing phase current is changed to torque decreasing direction. So, the torque sharing of the outgoing phase and incoming phase can be smoothly changed with a minimum current cross over. The proposed control scheme is verified by some computer simulations and experimental results.
The use of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method was described using two sets of primers based on the ceuN gene (JEJ 1 and JEJ 2) which encodes a protein involved in siderophore transport and 16S rRNA gene (pA and pB) for the sensitive and specific detection of enteropathogen Campylobacter jejuni. Six oligonucleotides were utilized in an amplification experiment and PCR products of predicted sizes were generated from whole cells and boiled cell lysates at the same intensity. Two sets of the primer pairs, JEJ and pAB, were specific enough for all C. jejuni strains tested for the direct use of whole cells without DNA extraction or lysis steps. In the PCR using the pAB primer pair, the detection limit, as determined by the ethidium bromide staining of the amplification products on agarose gels, was at the level of $10^1$ bacteria cells or less in both the pure culture and artificially inoculated milk and chicken enrichment samples, whereas the detection limit with the JEJ primer pair was relatively low, i.e. $10^3$ cells or more in the same PCR samples. The PCR method using either a primer JEJ or pAB was both repeatable and specific for the detection of C. jejuni in food. This method is simply completed within 4 h.
In thrust bearings, the thrust collar and bearing surface need to be parallel to each other to ensure that all pads share the same load. In rotating machines, the shaft system cannot achieve perfect alignment. Misalignment of the thrust collar results in some pads supporting a higher load than others and excessive loads being placed on some pads. Consequently, high loads and high temperatures may occur in the bearing. Thus, in this study, we aim to analytically evaluate the performance of a misaligned non-equalizing direct lubricated tilting pad thrust bearing. We define the oil film thickness of the misaligned thrust bearing using the Byrant angle. Additionally, we calculate the pressure distribution and temperature distribution of the thrust bearing using the generalized Reynolds equation and energy equation. The design limit of the thrust bearing is defined by the load and temperature. Therefore, we evaluate the allowable misalignment angle as the limit of the maximum load and temperature. The analysis results demonstrate that an increase in the speed and load corresponds to a smaller allowable misalignment angle. However, as this is not the same for all thrust bearings, evaluating the allowable misalignment angle at each thrust bearing is essential.
Distribution patern of 30 species that are occurring predominantly in the mantle communities (Mantelgesellschaften) in South Korea was studied. The study was arried out by geographic and bioclimatic analysis on 368 releves obtained from the Zurich-Montpellier School's method, which involves direct analysis on the latitude, altitude, annual mean temperature and the lowest temperature of the site. Rosa multiflora and Pueraria thunbergiana which are regarded as repersentative pioneer species to the mantle community has the highest frequency, 70.1% and 60.3%, respectively. Three distribution patterns were recognized, i.e. northern type, central type and southern type, and each type was characterized by horizontal and altitudinal amplitude. Their concetrate distribution ranges on the annual mean temperature were 8~11℃, 9~12℃ and 10~13℃, respectively. It was recognized that tendencies of overlapping and continuous distribution pattern of the types and species exist. Geographically, the souther limit f the northern type is 35.5。N and the northern limit of the southern type 37.0。N. The central type is located at an coincided with the previous study in which cool-temperate forests were synchorologically indentified into northern/altimontane, certral/montane and southern/submontane type. The subsidiary knowledges from this study will provide practical information on the constructuin of the fence plant community for environmental conservation.

Diesel engines have high thermal efficiency, and they have less CO & HC emissions than another engines. while NOx & Soot emissions are very much. compared with exhaust emission standards. However, the limit level is more and more strengthened yearly due to the importance of environmental protection. So, the optimal countermeasures for the reduction of NOx & Soot emissions below limit level are required. Therefore. the author has investigated the effects of emulsified fuel on the characteristics of exhaust emissions. using an four-cycle, four-cylinder and direct injection diesel engine because the using of emulsified fuel among various methods for reducing NOx & Soot emissions is simple in installation low in cost and high in efficiency. The results of investigation according to various operating conditions are as follows : 1) Specific fuel consumption increase maximum 19.8% at low load. but is not affected at full load. 2) In case of emulsion ratio 25%, NOx emission decrease 32% at 75% load. 30% at full load. 3) In case of emulsion ratio 25%, Soot emission decrease 84% at 75% load, 59% at full load.

Recently, Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) drives are widely used for industrial applications due to its high efficiency and high power factor control strategy. PMSM generally have two classifications such as the SPMSM(Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) and IPMSM(Inter Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors). IPMSA has economical merits over SPMSM in higher speed range, mechanical robustness, and higher power rate by the geometric difference. The maximum torque operation in IPMSM is realized by the current angle control which is to utilize additional reluctance torque due to a rotor saliency. In traction, spindle and compressor drives, constant power operation with higher speed range are desirable. This is simply achieved in the DC motor drives by the reduction of the field current as the speed is increased. However, in the PMSM, direct control of the magnet flux is not available. The airgap flux can be weakened by the appropriate current angle control to demagnetize. In this paper, the control method of optimal current vector in IPMSM is described in order to obtain the maximum torque or maximum output with the speed and load variations. The applied algorithm is realized by the proto system with torque and speed control Experimental results show this approach is satisfied for the high performance servo applications. Recently, much attention has been paid to problems which is concerned with voltage instability phenomena and much works on these phenomena have been made. In this paper, by substituting d $P_{k}$ d $e_{k}$ ( $v^{\rarw}$= e +j f) for $P_{k}$ in conventional load flow, direct method for finging the limit of voltage stability is proposed. Here, by using the fact that taylor se- ries expansion in .DELTA. $P_{k}$ and .DELTA. $Q_{k}$ is terminated at the second-order terms, constraint equation (d $P_{k}$ d $e_{k}$ =0) and power flow equations are formulated with new variables .DSLTA. e and .DELTA.f, so partial differentiations for constraint equation are precisely calculated. The fact that iteratively calculated equations are reformulated with new variables .DELTA.e and .DELTA.f means that limit of voltage stability can be traced precisely through recalculation of jacobian matrix at e+.DELTA.e and f+.DELTA.f state. Then, during iterative process divergence may be avoid. Also, as elements of Hessian mat rix are constant, its computations are required only once during iterative process. Results of application of the proposed method to sample systems are presented. (author). 13 refs., 11 figs., 4 tab.
A modified model combining Kriging and Monte Carlo method (MC) is proposed for probabilistic estimation of tunnel face stability in this paper. In the model, a novel uniform design is adopted to train the Kriging, instead of the existing active learning function. It has advantage of avoiding addition of new training points iteratively, and greatly saves the computational time in model training. The kinematic approach of limit analysis is employed to define the deterministic computational model of face failure, in which the Hoek-Brown failure criterion is introduced to account for the nonlinear behaviors of rock mass. The trained Kriging is used as a surrogate model to perform MC with dramatic reduction of calls to actual limit state function. The parameters in Hoek-Brown failure criterion are considered as random variables in the analysis. The failure probability is estimated by direct MC to test the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed probabilistic model. The influences of uncertainty level, correlation relationship and distribution type of random variables are further discussed using the proposed approach. In summary, the probabilistic model is an accurate and economical alternative to perform probabilistic stability analysis of tunnel face excavated in spatially random Hoek- Brown media.
Purpose: This study aimed to explore the rationality for and countermeasures against the use of prehospital patient restraint (PPR) techniques in efforts to limit violent behavior toward 119 emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Methods: Previous countermeasures to limit violent behavior toward 119 EMTs and medical personnel were focused on strict reactive and passive proactive responses. However, those in support of the countermeasures do not believe that violent and criminal behavior can be limited or extinguished by strengthening the punishment unconditionally. Results: When it comes to the far-reaching effects of stigmatization on people who engage in violent and criminal behavior, it is possible that unconditional punishment leads to more crime, increases the costs of imprisonment, and consequently, adds to the financial burden of the government. Conclusion: Thus, we are faced with an urgent need to prepare legal grounds for the use of PPR techniques by 119 EMTs for agitated or combative patients only, with direct medical oversight. Moreover, the legal foundation for the use of PPR techniques also needs to be established for emergency medical personnel. The use of PPR techniques not only ensures the safety of emergency medical services personnel, but also protects patients from injuring themselves and others.
