  • Since the 1960s, the Korean Peninsula, which consists of 77.4 of the country's land and mountains, has seen a surge in demand for buildings due to population concentration due to urbanization and industrialization. Since then, the development of slopes has been inevitable due to the concentration and expansion of the city's population. When building a building on a slope, it is important to set the height of the surface. In this case, the means of regulating buildings in construction-related laws, such as the building closure ratio, floor area ratio, number of floors and total floor area of buildings, have an overall effect on buildings through the height of the surface. In the Korean Building Act, the setting of the height of the ground affects the calculation of the building height limit standard and the calculation of the underground floor, and it takes a long time to calculate. Therefore, the time required for attempts to change various design plans of buildings increases. The purpose of this study is to speed up the time required to calculate the weighted average of the surface when constructing buildings on slopes. In addition, the existing calculation process allows various design attempts compared to the same time given.

  • The riverbed areas have exposed to various natural disasters and the private use by neighboring residents have caused many problems. The research objectives are to survey the actual situation of riverbed areas in order to prevent landscape damage and private use. Drone and photogrammetry, orthophoto, DSM(Digital Surface Model), digital topographic map and cadastral information have been integrated by GIS technology. The flood and disaster vulnerable area has been surveyed and the land use and private use has been analyzed using cadastral information. The research results show that the analyzed data can be used for providing foundation data for management of river and also can be used for surveying actual situation of private use on the riverbed areas.

  • We describe a single shot off-axis digital holography based on a Mach-Zehnder interferometic scheme for measuring temperature distribution of a microheater. The proposed scheme has the capability of reconstructing object phase image which is dependent of the temperature distribution in real time. Experimental results shows that there is a moderate linear relationship between the measured phase and temperature in the range of $20^{\circ}C$ to $60^{\circ}C$. We expect that the proposed system can provide a very reliable and fast solution in various surface temperature distribution measurement applications.

  • Digital elevation models(DEM) were generated from SPOT-5 HRG supermode imagery through photogrammetric processing. The reference DEMs were obtained from digital topographic maps of 1/5000 scaleas for analyzing the accuracy of the generated DEMs. The DEMs extracted from HRG stereo image data were compared with digital topograpic map DEMs on several test sections. And digital surface models(DSM) and 3D building model was produced.

  • ELID(ELectrolytic In-process Dressing) grinding is an excellent technique for mirror grinding of various advanced metallic or nonmetallic materials. A polishing process is also required for elimination of scratches present on ELID grinded surfaces. MAP(Magnetic Assisted Polishing) has been used as a polishing method due to its high polishing efficiency and to its resulting in a superior surface quality. This study describes an effective fabrication method combining ELID and MAP of nano-precision mirror grinding for glass-lens molding mould, such as WC-Co, which are extensively used in precision tooling material. And for the optics glass-ceramic named Zerodure, which is extensively used in precision optics components too. The experimental results show that the combined method is very effective in reducing the time required for final polishing. The best surface roughness of the polished glass-ceramic was within 1.7nm Ra in this study.

  • It is so sensitive that the matter of compensation for private possessions caused in the course of public construction planning is very important. Especially, more logical planning is necessary when the dam be constructed, because it is mainly controlled by the surface of water, and if that planning is made public, artificial change is occurred in land use in that area for the purpose of rising the compensation. In this study, the plan for the application of aerial photo based ortho image was drew up for solving these problems and for the rational, rapid compensation. Ortho image was made by aerial photo, used as reading material for the change in land use. The modeling of drainage basin, came under the planning surface of water, and the 3D simulation were performed for the scene analysis, the change understanding in land use for a lot number in a certain period by overlapping the digital image, the digital land registration map, and the digital topography map as well as the analysis of the admitted land followed by the height of reservoir water.

  • Nowadays, digital maps of 1:5,000 scale are used to plan and review far road alignment design. However, the updating and modifying period of digital maps is not so harmonious as topographical changes caused by rapid developments can be reflected in digital maps, the different areas between real surface and digital map can be found easily. This research is aimed to suggest that the use of high resolution satellite image is effective way to get latest topographical information for road alignment design about wide region. IKONOS satellite images were geometrically corrected, and the road alignment data previously designed by traditional procedure were overlapped on the satellite images. As a result, the satellite image maps clearly described wrong road alignment, and modification of road alignment could be accomplished adequately By these procedures, road alignment design was Improved in quality, and could be reasonable and economic design to prevent modification that would be happened in the next step of practical plan. For the geometric correction method of IKONOS images, Thin Plate Spline(TPS) transformation with large number of ground control points, as well as ortho rectification, was effective.

  • This Paper Presents a Rational Function Model (RFM)-based image matching technique for IKONOS satellite imagery. This algorithm adopts the object-space approach and reduces the search space within the confined line-shaped area called the Piecewise Matching Line (PLM). Also, the detailed procedure of generating 3-D surface information using the Rational Function model Coefficients (RFCs) is introduced as an end-user point of view. As a result, the final generated Digital Elevation Model (DEM) using the proposed scheme shows a mean error of 2$\cdot$2 m and RMSE of 3$\cdot$8 m compared with that from 1:5000 digital map.

  • In this study we generated digital orthophoto from LIDAR data. To generate digital orthophoto, we make TIN from raw laser scanning data(XYZ point data) and compiled DSM from this TIN. In this procedure much noise appeared along the break lines in DSM and this can give bad effect to the quality of digital orthophoto. Therefore, we applied various techniques which can refine the break line. In the result, we concluded that the fusion of LIDAR DEM of lowland and extracted buildings was adequate to generating DSM. So we generated the digital orthophoto from DSM generated from this technique. In the result of quality test, the positional accuracy of this digital orthophoto was better than the positional accuracy of 1:5,000 map.

  • Electric transmission towers are facilities to transport electrical power from a plant to an electrical substation. The towers are connected using wires considering the wire tension and the clearance from the ground or nearby objects. The wires are installed on a rights-of-way that is a strip of land used by electrical utilities to maintain the transmission line facilities. Trees and plants around transmission lines must be managed to keep the operation of these lines safe and reliable. This study proposed the use of a low-cost drone photogrammetry for the transmission line rights-of-way mapping. Aerial photogrammetry is carried out to generate a dense point cloud around the transmission lines from which a DSM (Digital Surface Model) and DTM (Digital Terrain Model) are created. The lines and nearby objects are separated using nDSM (normalized Digital Surface Model) and the noises are suppressed in the multiple image space for the geospatial analysis. The experimental result with drone images over two spans of transmission lines on a mountain area showed that the proposed method successfully generate the rights-of-way map with hazard nearby objects.
