  • The characteristics of the sustain-driving circuit were examined in this paper. The sustain-driving circuit is in charge of the most important part of PDP driving because it manages most of the power consumption in the PDP. A couple of gatedriving circuits for the sustain-driving circuit were introduced in this paper, and a new driving circuit was also proposed. This new circuit is more cost-effective and has a simpler PCB layout compared to the conventional one. Some additional driving advantages were noted as well.

  • In this paper, we propose the assistance method to enable safe driving through analysis of dangerous driving behavior using real-time alarm by vehicle speed, azimuth data and smartphone. For this method, smartphone is receiving driving data from digital tachograph using communication. Safe driving habit is a very important issue to commercial vehicle because that driver's long time driving than other vehicle type driver. Existing methods are very inefficient to improve immediately dangerous driving habits during driving because proceed driving behavior analysis after the vehicle operation. We propose the new safe driving assistance method that can prevent traffic accidents by real-time and improve the driver's wrong driving habits through real-time dangerous driving behavior analysis and notification the result to the driver. We have confirmed that the method in this paper will help to improve driving habits and can be applied through the proposed method implementation and simulation experiment.

Driving Method for Dimming of LED Lamps using Selectively Charged Charge Pump (선택적 충전방식 전하펌프를 사용한 LED 램프 조광구동 기술)

  • A new LED lamp driving technology with a charge pump instead of a conventional DC-DC converter is proposed. The proposed driving technology is used to control the LED lamp with digital dimming. The power loss in the zener diodes is reduced because the charging process of the capacitors is selectively controlled according to the digital control signal. From the experimental results, when dimming four LED lamps simultaneously, the average driving circuit efficiency of 89% is obtained, regardless of the dimming level. White light with color temperature over a range of 2800~7200K was produced by dimming control of red, green, blue and amber LED lamps with the proposed driving circuit. The characteristics of the driving circuits can be changed depending on the characteristics of the R, G, B, and A LED lamps. The efficiency of the driving circuits up to a maximum 89% can also be obtained depending on the combination of LED lamps. The driving technology with digital dimming control for LED lamps proposed in this paper would be effective for obtaining high efficiency in LED driving circuits and remote control of LED lamps using digital communications.

  • We have developed a new driving method named TROPHY(Talented Role-playing Technology with Dual Polarity sustainer in Hybrid Mono board). In this method, the sustain voltage is partially compared to the conventional method and the number of power sources is reduced by voltage level unification during the reset, address and sustain period. The hybrid mono board was especially developed to implement those technologies. Through this, we can lower the cost with the TROPHY compared to the conventional one. It is a suitable technology to improve the reliability of circuit and image sticking problem. We can also reduce the number of driving boards and the EMI problem compared with those of the conventional method.

  • In this paper, we proposed the method that enabling warning through real-time analysis of dangerous driving behavior, improving driving habits and safe driving using the digital tachograph. Most of traffic accidents and green drive are closely related of driving habits. These wrong driving habits need to be improved by the real-time analysis, warning and automated method of driving habits. We confirmed the proposed that the method will help support eco-driving, safe driving through real-time analysis of driving behavior and warning through the method implementation and experiment.

  • of the road would be a key index judged for a safety at the vehicle driving on the road. In Korea, as seen through a lot of documents, the vehicle driving speed is much faster compared with the design speed. The vehicle driving speed is an important element to get to know the vehicle driving characteristics. However, it is not easy to obtain the vehicle driving speed relating to vehicles' consecutive movements just merely through the presently used methods of vehicle driving speed. In consequence, this study has conducted photographing vehicle movements by use of digital moving images. Based on digital moving Images pictured, we have obtained a certain time interval frame and extracted out vehicles' coordinates and calculated vehicle speed from the firstly rectified image and the secondly rectified image. We could obtain comparatively exact results in the calculation of vehicle driving speed as errors of about 4%, as a result of comparison and verification of vehicle speed calculated from the digital moving images and the speed obtained from DGPS.

  • This Study is about driving simulation after road design by 3D-GIS in digital elevation model from digital aerial photogrammetry. For designing roads efficiently it's very important to consider geographical features before design when analyze the view. Nevertheless, existing studies is mainly restricted in the mountainous, despite of using digital map or aerial photogrammetry and the study which used aerial photo in the area where the road designing is made really is not get executed. Therefore, this study will do 3D-road design and driving simulation by appling really road design data to topography, on the basis of digital elevation generated from aerial photogrammetry.

  • This paper has been studied driving circuits in electrical valves. Also in this paper, opto-couplers of driving circuit are replaced with digital one chip of Altera company. Designs in order to realization of one chip are carried out with Altera Max Plus II. For compact size and light weight, the realization with one chip is necessary in the electrical valves. This paper has designed and presented the digital schemetic circuits, finally the driving circuits are sucessfully operated with the designed chip and showed the saving of area in the driving circuits of electric valves.

  • In this paper Vehicle driving simulator have been used in the development and modification of models. A real-time simulation system and washout algorithm for an excavator have been developed for a driving simulator with six degrees of freedom. An interesting question, "how the 6 DOF Driving Simulator can be controlled optimally for the various tasks?" is not easy to be answered. This paper presents the hardware and software developed for a driving simulator of construction vehicle. A simulator can reduce cost and time a variety of driving simulations in the laboratory. Using its 6 DOF Simulator can move in various modes, and perform dexterous tasks. Driving simulators have begun to proliferate in the automotive industry and the associated research community. This effort involves the real-time dynamic of wheel-type excavator the design and manufacturing of the Stewart platform an integrated control system of the platform and three-dimensional graphic modeling of the driving environments.
