편측 성대마비와 성대폴립 환자의 수술 전후 음성검사와 이미지 화상분석의 상관관계에 대한 객관적 비교연구 (Comparative Study of Pre and Postoperative Voice and Image Analysis in Unilateral Vocal Cord Paralysis and Vocal Polyp)

  • To determine what is the change of pre and postoperative voice and image analysis parameters and correlations between them, videostroboscopy was analyzed in each 18 patients with unilateral vocal cord paralyses or vocal polyps before and after the surgery from November, 1996 to April, 1999. The correlation between acoustic and aerodynamic parameters was investigated. The software-Videolink and $\pi$-View(Mediface Co, Seoul, Korea)-was used in a quantitative analysis. In unilateral vocal cord paralysis, the glottic angle is well correlated with maximum phonation time, jitter and shimmer preoperatively. The postoperative glottic angle is also correlated with preoperative maximum phonation time. In patients with the vocal polyp, the chink is postoperatively decreased, but the size of the chink and the polyp is not correlated with pre and postoperative voice analysis parameters. These findings reveal that glottic an and vocal fold angle are good indicators of e postoperative glottic configuration in unilateral vocal cord paralysis. Vocal fold ratio is also a useful indicator that represents the length of vocal folds. We consider that the computerized analysis through videostroboscopy is one of objective diagnostic methods in many voice disorders if we can measure a distance between the telelaryngoscope and vocal folds.

  • V2X 카 융합서비스 환경에서, 인포테인먼트 서비스와 운전자 관리 서비스 가운데 주요 서비스는 드라이버, 유지보수 관리자, 고객, 익명의 사용자의 중요한 정보를 중심으로 지원되어야 한다. 많은 소프트웨어 어플리케이션들이 운전 관리 프로그램과 계획의 특정 요구조건을 만족하기 위해 솔루션을 고려해오고 있다. 본 논문에서는 V2X 융합서비스 환경에서 클리닉 환경설정, 클리닉, 클리닉 페이지, 맴버십, 클리닉 요청 처리, 운전자 프로파일 데이터, 클리닉 맴버십 데이터 그리고 클리닉 인증을 포함한 운전자용 차량 진단을 위한 안전한 관리 시스템의 Data flow diagram을 설명하였다. STRIDE 모델 가운데 스푸핑, 탬퍼링, 부인방지, 노출, 서비스 거부, 권한 관리와 같은, ITS 진단 시스템의 보안 위협 이슈를 중심으로 고찰하였다.

단일추진시스템의 ACM 설계 및 사례연구 (A Design of Automated Contingency Management and Case Study for Monopropellant Propulsion System)

  • Increasing demand for improved reliability and survivability of mission-critical systems is driving the development of health monitoring and Automated Contingency Management (ACM) systems. An ACM system is expected to adapt autonomously to fault conditions with the goal of still achieving mission objectives by allowing some degradation in system performance within permissible limits. ACM performance depends on supporting technologies like sensors and anomaly detection, diagnostic/prognostic and reasoning algorithms. This paper presents the development of a generic prototype test bench software framework for developing and validating ACM systems for advanced propulsion systems called the Propulsion ACM (PACM) Test Bench. The architecture has been implemented for a Monopropellant Propulsion System (MPS) to demonstrate the validity of the approach. A Simulink model of the MPS has been developed along with a fault injection module. It has been shown that the ACM system is capable of mitigating the failures by searching for an optimal strategy. Furthermore, the concepts of Validation and Verification (V&V) of such systems are introduced with relevant examples.

완맥(緩脈)의 동서의학적(東西醫學的) 해석 -맥율(脈率)을 중심으로- (Detection and interpretation of wan-maeck by the pulse diagnostic apparatus -on the pulse/respiration rate-)

  • This report was conducted to quantify the pulse/respiration ratio and set up the normal range of wan-maeck(緩脈). In order to objectify the pulse diagnosis and use as basic clinical index of Cold-Hot diagnosis, we developed the hardware and software for detection and interpretation of pulse/respiration ratio, pulse/expiration ratio, pulse/respiration ratio, inspiration time, expiration time, respiration frequency, respiration time, duration of one pulse and pulse and pulse rate per minute, The results were as follows; pulse/respiration ratio is $4.30{\pm}1.03$ times, pulse/respiration ratio is $1.60{\pm}0.32$ times, pulse/respiration ratio is $2.37{\pm}0.75$ times, inspiration time is $1.35{\pm}0.20$ sec, expiration time is $1.89{\pm}0.39$ sec, respiration frequency is $17.16{\pm}3.49$ times/min, total respiration time is $3.63{\pm}0.71$ sec, duration of a pulse is $0.86{\pm}0.15$ sec, pulse rate is $71.51{\pm}12.30$ times/min.

Implementation of an Ultrasound Elasticity Imaging System

  • Recently, active research has been going on to measure the elastic modulus of human soft tissue with medical ultrasound imaging systems for the purpose of diagnosing cancers or tumors which have been difficult to detect with conventional B-mode imaging techniques. In this paper, a real-time ultrasonic elasticity imaging system is implemented in software on a Pentium processor-based ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system. Soft tissue is subjected to external vibration, and the resulting tissue displacements change the phase of received echoes, which is in turn used to estimate tissue elasticity. It was confirmed from experiment with a phantom that the implemented elasticity imaging system could differentiate between soft and hard regions, where the latter is twice harder than the former, while operating at an adequate frame rate of 20 frames/s.

  • In this study, a novel Graphic User Interface (GUI) software development system is suggested so that it can be applied to diagnose breast cancer with utilizing 3~4.2 GHz microwave radiometric data. The estimated inner and surface temperature values on the patient's right and left breast in terms of microwave radiometry are visualized in HSV color mapping space and their relevant contour regions and lines are depicted by Marching Square graphic algorithm. Also the database system is implemented in terms of patient and diagnostic module to support the medical decisions concerning the breast cancer diagnosis.

  • Next-generation sequencing (NGS) is widely used to identify the causative mutations underlying diverse human diseases, including cancers, which can be useful for discovering the diagnostic and therapeutic targets. Currently, a number of single-nucleotide variant (SNV)-calling algorithms are available; however, there is no tool for visualizing the recurrent and phenotype-specific mutations for general researchers. In this study, in order to support defining the recurrent mutations or phenotype-specific mutations from NGS data of a group of cancers with diverse phenotypes, we aimed to develop a user-friendly tool, named mutation arranger for defining phenotype-related SNV (MAP). MAP is a user-friendly program with multiple functions that supports the determination of recurrent or phenotype-specific mutations and provides graphic illustration images to the users. Its operation environment, the Microsoft Windows environment, enables more researchers who cannot operate Linux to define clinically meaningful mutations with NGS data from cancer cohorts.

  • 본 논문은 DSP를 이용한 주상변압기 유전정접($tan\;delta$) 활선 측정기법을 제안하였다. 변압기 내부에 콘덴서를 삽입한 후 센서에 전압을 인가하고, 인가된 전압과 콘덴서에 흐르는 전류를 측정하여 본 논문에서 제안한 상호 상관 함수 기법을 이용하여 유전정접을 구하였다. 측정의 성능 향상을 위해 TMS320C31 DSP 보드를 사용하였으며 상호 상관 함수 기법을 사용하였다. 또한 노이즈 영향을 검토하기 위해 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 검증을 위해 본 논문에서 구현한 측정장치와 Schering bridge을 사용하여 비고 실험을 하였다. 실험 결과 주상 변압기 절연진단에 충분히 활용할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • This paper describes the dissipation factor measuring techniques of insulating oil on the operating transformer by using digital signal processing. After applying voltage to the electrodes which is installed In a transformer, acquiring source voltage and current of electrodes and using cross-correlation techniques. we can check the dissipation factor of insulating oil. To Improve measuring accuracy and the speed of process, we use hardware such as TMS320C31 DSP board and analog filter and software such as cross-correlation techniques, rectangular window, and digital filtering techniques. We simulated the measuring accuracy and the degree of the noise effect of this new measuring techniques by using computer simulation, and compared the simplified measuring devices with schering bridge on degraded insulating oil. The result showed that this measuring technique can be used as diagnostic method on the pole transformers.
