A medical information management system for small to medium sized clinics and hospitals is developed. The system is designed to process, analyze and manage each patient's clinical record using database technique. The structure of the database was determined and implemented through careful and rigorous study of medical practices in Korea and, therefore, reflects the needs of information management in Korean medical community. Furthermore, a sophisticated inference engine that can deduce possible diseases from the result of medical examination is added to the system to provide doctors with a guideline in medical diagnoses.

Alpha value of each Pattern-Identification than appears more highly the item which it will be able to consider an elimination in the item which decreases a reliability. In that phlegm-retention syndrome is bigger alpha coefficient 0.784 than 'meal quantity is few'(0.787) a possibility of seeing in the item which decreases a reliability to the place where it diagnoses it puts in phlegm-retention syndrome.

This paper deals with an application of an expert system to transmission line fault diagnosis using alarm information line possible solution can be obtained even in case that the cause of alarms is due to relays, circuit breakers or alarm systems. The expert system diagnoses not only any possible fault element, but also normal or abnormal misoperations. Also, this system can give any possible answers only when the sum of appropriate error indices assigned to false operation of devices is less than the appropriate criterion specified in advance. This paper is written in Official Projection System-Version 5 (OPS-5) which is one of the AI languages.

This study focuses on the identity establishment of library and information science. It suggests, as a way of establishing the identity, the necessity of promoting of business environment in library and information science. For this purpose, the study examines Korean cases that have damaged the identity, and analyzes why such damage has been done and how it affects the fostering of business environment in library and information. It also diagnoses the possibility of identity establishment such as, for example, professionalism of the librarian and creation of jobs through the fostering of business environment in library and information science.

From March 1986 to June 1990, the percutaneous Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy[FNAB] of 102 thoracic lesions were performed with Westcott needle [slotted 20G or 22G thin needle], for the purpose of identifying and diagnosing thoracic lesions. There were 94 lung lesions [67 malignant tumors, 27 benign lesions] and 8 mediastinal and chest wall lesions. The results of FNAB were compared with sputum cytology and bronchoscopic examinations. The sputum cytologic examinations were performed in 54 cases of malignant lung tumor and the malignant cell was found at the 18 cases [33%]. We bronchoscopic examinations were performed in 24 cases and the malignant cell was found at the 12 cases [55%]. The positive diagnostic rate of malignancy was 100% by FNAB. Among them, 55 cases [82%] were diagnosed by cytologic examinations and 43 cases[64%] by both. The specific diagnoses for benign lung lesions in 15 cases[55%] and for mediastinal and chest well lesions in 5 cases[62%]. The 7 patients[6.9%] developed the pneumothorax and 5 of them required the treatment. Therefore, the FNAB of thoracic lesions may be a preferred diagnostic method because of its safety, simplicity and accuracy.

A taxonomic review of the Korean Agyrtidae is presented. Two species are recognized, one a which is reported for the first time in Korea(Pteroloma Koebelei Von Dyke). The diagnoses, illustrations of male genitalia, habitus photos, and a key to the species of Korean Agyrtidae are presented.

An examination of caddisfly materials from the field trips in Vietnam during 2002-2003 resulted in the recognition of the male adult of Tinodes reuse Malicky & Chantaramongkol(new Vietnamese record) and four undetermined species of larvae (Psychomyia VL1, Psychomyia VL2, Paduniella VL1, and Tinodes VL1) in the family Psychomyiidae Genera Psychomyia and Paduniella are recorded from Vietnam for the first time. Material data, descriptions, diagnoses, distributions, and taxonomic remarks are provided.

Hypsicera has been reported six species from South Korea. In this study, we reviewed 13 species of South Korean Hypsicera including seven newly recorded species from South Korea. Female of H. brevicornis and H. nigribasis are reported for the first time from South Korea since first record. Additionally, H. incarinata and H. yoshimoboi are reported new to China. We provide diagnoses of six newly recorded species and descriptions of two new females. We also provide photographs of key characters of seven newly recorded species and a key to 13 species of South Korean Hypsicera.

We reviewed Korean species of the genus Pimpla and confirmed 12 species. In this genus, 36 species have been reported from the Eastern Palaearctic region, eight species were from Korea. Also, we report four species, Pimpla albociliata Kasparyan, 1974, Pimpla femorella Kasparyan, 1974, Pimpla kaszabi (Momoi, 1973) and Pimpla melanacrias Perkins, 1941, which were newly recorded for the first time from Korea. Among them, Pimpla nipponica Uchida, 1928 is recorded from United States and the Nearctic region for the first time. A key to Korean species of the genus Pimpla, diagnoses and illustrations of adult external structures are provided.

Korean species of the subfamily Lycorininae Cushman & Rohwer are reviewed. This subfamily along with three species, Lycorina triangulifera Holmgren, 1859, L. spilonotae Chao, 1980, and L. ruficornis Kasparyan, 2007, are reported for the first time from Korea. In this genus, five species have been reported from the Eastern Palaearctic region, six species from China and two species from Japan. Some species of this subfamily is known as parasitoids of Crambidae and Tortricidae. We report three newly recorded species from Korea, Lycorina triangulifera, L. spilonotae, and L. ruficornis, and provide diagnoses with photographs of lycorinine species and a key to the Korean species.
