According to Gerschenkron (1962), the industrialization of relative backward countries was characterized in a systematically varying fashion by sudden spurts. With respect to the technological loaming, its globalization, and the subsequent development of technological capability, Korea, a catching-up nation had some experiences of identifiable discontinuities in her technological development in various industries. This study examines a developmental path of technological catching-up in Korean mobile telecommunication, especially CDMA industry and argues that investment and networking capability play an infrastructural role in accumulating her technological capability. Note that the technological experiences in high-tech industries have made Korea take a different technological path with respect to the previous industrialization. For this purpose, it proposes an analytical framework for examining a developmental path of Korean catching-up players. In addition, it analyzes the case of the Korean mobile telecommunication industry on the basis of the framework, and identifies a developmental path from the case analysis.

본 연구에서는 개방경제체제로 전환되는 과정에서 울산이 가질 수 있는 시스템 전환의 가능성에 기초해서 울산 자동차클러스터의 발전방향을 탐색하고 바람직한 전략적 개입의 방향을 제시하고자 했다. 울산의 자동차 클러스터의 조건을 탐색하기 위해 생산 및 연구개발 네트워크의 글로벌 차원, 국가 차원, 지역 차원의 공간적 특성에 대하여 분석하였다. 그리고 현대자동차가 울산공장을 설립하면서 시작된 울산의 자동차 산업의 집적과정의 특징과 그 동안 축적한 역량에 대한 분석에 기초해서 대안적 발전경로를 탐색하고 정책적 시사점을 도출하였다.

Recently, emergence of smart-phones and Social Networking Service(SNS) would offer the market environment changes and the opportunities for new business. For the case analysis comprehensive survey were implemented. And those data were analyzed along the research framework. The late-comer firms offered differential services, maintained creative and opened corporate culture, shoed learning capabilities which means absorption and organization of external knowledge, innovative efforts to control the insurgents than early-mover firms. When we analyze these phenomena along the developmental stages of late-comer, we can perceive that the stage of late-comers firms were moving from the "tracing the path" stage to "jumping the path" stage which means the creating capabilities were more or less enhanced and the firms become more stable in terms of business operation. In business model, early-mover firms showed clear definition for each business element, especially the revenue structure, while late-mover firms seemed unstable or unclear revenue structure.

불법도박의 확산은 물론 도박의 합법화 및 사행산업 규모의 증가로 인해 우리 국민의 도박에의 접근성은 매우 용이하다. 실제로 한국인의 문제도박율은 높은 수준이며, 도박으로 인한 개인적, 가족적, 사회경제적 폐해 또한 심각하다. 선행연구에서는 심리사회적 발달단계의 특성 등으로 인해 대학생 집단이 청소년과 성인에 비해 도박참여 및 문제도박율이 높다고 보고한다. 본 연구에서는 대학생의 문제도박 발달경로를 탐색하려는 목적으로 Jacob의 중독의 일반이론을 적용하여 연구모형을 설정한 후, 변인간의 관계를 구조방정식 방법으로 분석하였다. 연구대상자는 전국 5개 권역에서 조사한 대학생 870명 중 도박경험이 있다고 응답한 남학생 366명이었다. 주요 발견으로는 첫째, 남자 대학생의 문제도 박률은 14%로 나타나 동일척도를 사용한 기존 연구와 유사하거나 더 높았다. 둘째, 구조분석 결과 남자 대학생의 심리적 취약성은 현재 상태에서 벗어나고자 하는 탈출욕구를 증진시켜 문제도박을 초래하는 경로가 유의미한 반면, 신체적 취약성이 탈출욕구를 통해 문제도박에 이르는 경로는 유의미하지 않았다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 대학생 문제도박의 예방 및 치유재활과 관련된 사회복지 개입전략이 논의 되었다.

This paper describes the evolution of the infinitive in terms of its progressive formal and semantic grammaticization, using the German infinitive as an example. It is shown that the infinitive has its diachronic origin in a nominal purposive form and that the grammaticization of a purposive form to an infinitive is a widespread phenomenon in the languages of the world. This original function of the infinitive is important for understanding its nature, and the most interesting syntactic property of infinitive, the absence of an explicit subject, can be shown to follow from it. Finally, this paper shows that the diachronic process of the grammaticization of a purposive form is even more general, occurring also in the case of purposive markers in finite clauses.

We present novel methods to generate a sequence of shapes that represents the pattern of morphological development or transformation of Bezier curves. The presented methods utilize the intrinsic geometric structures of a Bezier curve that are derived from rib and fan decomposition (RFD). Morphological development based on RFD shows a characteristic pattern of structural growth of a Bezier curve, which is the direct consequence of development path defined by fans. Morphological transformation based RFD utilizes development patterns of source and target curves to mimic the theory of evolutionary developmental biology: although the source and target curves are quite different in shapes, we can easily find similarities in their younger shapes, which makes it easier to set up feature correspondences for blending them. We also show that further controls on base transformation for intensity of feature blending, and extrapolation can compensate the immaturity of blended curves. We demonstrate the experimental results where transformation patterns are smoother and have unique geometric style that cannot be generated using conventional methods based on multi-linear blending.

A palato-radicular groove (PRG) is a developmental anomaly primarily found in the maxillary lateral incisors. It is a potential communication path between the root canal and the periodontium that decreases the survival prognosis of the affected tooth, therefore compromising the stability of the dental structure in the oral cavity. The aim of this case report is to present an original technique where a PRG was treated by means of intracanal disinfection, PRG sealing with glass ionomer, replantation with intentional horizontal 180 degree rotation of the tooth, and an aesthetic veneer placed to provide adequate tooth morphology. The clinical and biological benefits of this novel technique are presented and discussed.

본 연구는 발달장애인의 독립생활 지원을 위한 실천적 지원체제에 있어 핵심 분야라고 할 수 있는 장애인평생 교육과 발달장애재활 간 문화융합을 위한 설계 요소를 개발하는 데 목적를 두었다. 연구 방법은 특수교육, 재활과학을 전공한 교수들을 대상으로 2개의 팀을 구성하여 FGI를 실시한 절차가 적용되었다. 연구 내용은 발달장애재활과 장애인평생교육 간 문화융합을 위해 설계되어야 할 요소들이 크게 세 가지의 상위 범주(보편적 문화융합 요소, 현장 중심 문화융합 요소, 정책 중심 문화융합 요소)로 제시되었다. 그리고 각 상위 범주별로 하위 범주가 구체적으로 구성되었다. 먼저, 보편적 문화융합 요소로는 원리적 차원에서 "개방적 창의융합"이 제시되었고, 이는 발달장애재활과 장애인평생교육 간 문화융합을 위해 유관 분야 간 융합 타당성을 탐구 및 실천하는 원리로 설명될 수 있다. 두 번째로, 현장 중심 문화융합 요소로는 재활과학-특수교육 분야 간 공동 실천 모델 개발, 교과교육 지식 및 기술, 교수·학습방법, 학습 진로 로드맵 구축, 취업·직무경력 개발 로드맵 구축, 독립생활 개발 이력 인증체계 형성이 제시되었다. 세 번째로, 정책 중심 문화융합 요소로는 지역 유관기관 간 교육과정적 통합 구성체계 형성, 코디네이터형-전문교사형 전문인력의 자격개발경로 구축, 학교 유형-센터 유형 간 조직적 체계화가 제시되었다. 연구 결과, 발달장애인의 독립생활 지원은 성인기의 전체 생애 동안 장기적으로 보장되어야 하며, 이에 따라 문화융합을 통하여 장애인평생교육 기반 발달장애재활의 전문적 지원체제가 구축되어야 함을 결론지을 수 있었다.

Bring this analysis down to people-centered development perspective and looking through democratization in the Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia, we find similarities and differences among them related with the intensity of conflicts between development and human rights in the process of democratization in line with global transformation. Civil society in the Philippines criticized the developmental path in the Philippines which failed to implement land reform and eradication of poverty under the transition from 'patrimonial oligarchy' to democracy. In Thailand the coalition of military and the royalists had consolidated its power since Sarit military regime, which later paved the way 'hybrid oligarchy' era. Most Thai civil society organizations has regarded their developmental experience rather as 'maldevelopment' which disregarded economic and social rights. It has been especially believed by Thai localists that the stimulation of local markets and the building of autonomic community society will form the alternative economy without going against the conservative banner of nation, religion and king. Thaksin as a populist successfully took advantage of Thai localist ethos in favour of taking the seat of power. He projected himself as a modernizer focused on economic growth and cleaner politics. However Thaksin's procedural legitimacy was overthrown by counterattacking from military-royalist alliance, pretexting that Thaksin caused internal conflicts and lacked morality. Soeharto's New Order regime which can be called 'administrative oligarchy' had an antipathy towards notions of economic and social rights as well as civil and political rights. In spite of the fact that the fall of Soeharto opened the political space for democratic civil society organizations which had long struggled with development aggression and human rights abuses, there have been continuously a strong political and military reaction against human rights activists, NGOs and ethnic minorities such as Aceh and Papua. Nevertheless, Indonesian democracy is more promising than Philippine's and Thai democracy in terms of comparatively less pre-modern legacies.

This study aimed to investigate the signal transduction of phosphorylation sites at the carboxyl (C)-terminal region of equine luteinizing hormone/chorionic gonadotropin receptor (eLH/CGR). The eLH/CGR has a large extracellular domain of glycoprotein hormone receptors within the G protein-coupled receptors. We constructed a mutant (eLH/CGR-t656) of eLH/CGR, in which the C-terminal cytoplasmic tail was truncated at the Phe656 residue, through polymerase chain reaction. The eLH/CGR-t656 removed 14 potential phosphorylation sites in the intracellular C-terminal region. The plasmids were transfected into Chinese hamster ovary (CHO)-K1 and PathHunter Parental cells expressing β-arrestin, and agonist-induced cAMP responsiveness was analyzed. In CHO-K1 cells, those expressing eLH/CGR-t656 were lower than those expressing eLH/CGR wild-type (eLH/CGR-wt). The EC₅₀ of the eLH/CGR-t656 mutant was approximately 72.2% of the expression observed in eLH/CGR-wt. The maximal response in eLH/CGR-t656 also decreased to approximately 43% of that observed in eLH/CGR-wt. However, in PathHunter Parental cells, cAMP activity and maximal response of the eLH/CGR-t656 mutant were approximately 173.5% and 100.8%, respectively, of that of eLH/CGR-wt. These results provide evidence that the signal transduction of C-terminal phosphorylation in eLH/CGR plays a pivotal role in CHO-K1 cells. The cAMP level was recovered in PathHunter Parental cells expressing β-arrestin. We suggest that the signal transduction of the C-terminal region phosphorylation sites is remarkably different depending on the cells expressing β-arrestin in CHO-K1 cells.
