Defense software test procedure improvement measure reflecting the TMMi (TMMi를 반영한 국방 소프트웨어 테스트 절차 발전방안)

  • As the portion of modern weapons systems equipped with electronic components increases, the presence of embedded software has also increased, subsequently drawing interest in quality management and development methods. Unlike mechanical systems, software is logically intangible, hard to troubleshoot, and hard to reuse, making it hard to utilize limited resources when exposed to failures. The United States had successful results in establishing the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) by studying and applying separate processes for development and quality management of defense software. South Korea has also established, and utilizes, a standard of development and quality management for defense software based on international standards. However, some say those standards still remain at a basic level, and should be modified along with the progress in software. If the standard stays at a basic level, compared to software progression, the cost to reuse and restore resources will increase exponentially. This paper discusses improvement in the test processes for defense software through the Test Maturity Model-integration (TMMi)-derived from the CMM-and presents a blueprint for defense software quality management.

Unified Model for Performance Analysis of IEEE 802.11 Ad Hoc Networks in Unsaturated Conditions

  • IEEE 802.11 standard has achieved huge success in the past decade and is still under development to provide higher physical data rate and better quality of service (QoS). An important problem for the development and optimization of IEEE 802.11 networks is the modeling of the MAC layer channel access protocol. Although there are already many theoretic analysis for the 802.11 MAC protocol in the literature, most of the models focus on the saturated traffic and assume infinite buffer at the MAC layer. In this paper we develop a unified analytical model for IEEE 802.11 MAC protocol in ad hoc networks. The impacts of channel access parameters, traffic rate and buffer size at the MAC layer are modeled with the assistance of a generalized Markov chain and an M/G/1/K queue model. The performance of throughput, packet delivery delay and dropping probability can be achieved. Extensive simulations show the analytical model is highly accurate. From the analytical model it is shown that for practical buffer configuration (e.g. buffer size larger than one), we can maximize the total throughput and reduce the packet blocking probability (due to limited buffer size) and the average queuing delay to zero by effectively controlling the offered load. The average MAC layer service delay as well as its standard deviation, is also much lower than that in saturated conditions and has an upper bound. It is also observed that the optimal load is very close to the maximum achievable throughput regardless of the number of stations or buffer size. Moreover, the model is scalable for performance analysis of 802.11e in unsaturated conditions and 802.11 ad hoc networks with heterogenous traffic flows.

  • This study aims to develop the records management standard table of the college of education through mapping transaction and records folder based on identifying the problems of the college of education. For these purpose, the study analyzed the records classification system of the all college of education. And then, drew out the business transaction items for records management standard table of the college of education based on the records management standard table of the local governments. Consequently, based on analysis, this study developed the records management standard table and suggested efficient management plan to apply Business Reference Model(BRM) to the college of education in 2017.

A Study on the Development and the Uncertainty Analysis of Oil Flow Standard System (기름 유량표준장치의 개발 및 측정 불확도에 관한 연구)

  • A national standard system was developed in order to calibrate and test the oil flowmeters for the petroleum field. A stop valve and a gyroscopic weighing scale were employed for the primary standard of the flow quantity. It is operated by the standing start and finish mode and the static weighing method. The model equation for uncertainty evaluation was based on the calibration principle of standard system. The sources of the uncertainties were quantified and combined according to the GUM(Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement). It was found that the standard system had the relative expanded uncertainty of 0.04 % in the range of 18 - 350 ㎥/h. According to the uncertainty budget, the uncertainties of the fluid density and the volume of pipeline, which were temperature dependent, contributed 92% of final uncertainty in the oil flow standard system.

  • This purpose of research is to offer basic materials for analyzing organizational structure in an effort to develop a standardized model that considers regional characteristics with the ultimate goal being the establishment of a National Health and Family Support Center. Research methods include aliterature survey data. The research target is 94 centers run by the National Health Family Support Center training. These are assessed in terms of their regional characteristics. The objectives of this paper are as follows: 1. To look at the present National Healthy Family Support Center's yearly conditions investigate the regional characteristics. 2. To analyze the National Healthy Family Support Center's annual organizational managements and operations characteristics. 3. To analyze the National Healthy Family Support Center's regional characteristics (Urban-only-, Urban-Rural Integration, Rural-only-) in terms of its organizational management and operations. First, at the national, county, and ward levels, Health and Family Support Center can have family intervention purpose. Regional Center should be operated to keep pace with custom of different regions. Standardization can also be beneficial, including considerations such as agricultural needs and a type center. Effective center operations should also ensured. Second, standardized development model I had to insert this here because you mention one in the following paragraph. Original did not make sense. A WWMBERT-based Method for Improving Chinese Text Classification Task (중국어 텍스트 분류 작업의 개선을 위한 WWMBERT 기반 방식)

  • In the NLP field, the pre-training model BERT launched by the Google team in 2018 has shown amazing results in various tasks in the NLP field. Subsequently, many variant models have been derived based on the original BERT, such as RoBERTa, ERNIEBERT and so on. In this paper, the WWMBERT (Whole Word Masking BERT) model suitable for Chinese text tasks was used as the baseline model of our experiment. The experiment is mainly for "Text-level Chinese text classification tasks" are improved, which mainly combines Tapt (Task-Adaptive Pretraining) and "Multi-Sample Dropout method" to improve the model, and compare the experimental results, experimental data sets and model scoring standards Both are consistent with the official WWMBERT model using Accuracy as the scoring standard. The official WWMBERT model uses the maximum and average values of multiple experimental results as the experimental scores. The development set was 97.70% (97.50%) on the "text-level Chinese text classification task". and 97.70% (97.50%) of the test set. After comparing the results of the experiments in this paper, the development set increased by 0.35% (0.5%) and the test set increased by 0.31% (0.48%). The original baseline model has been significantly improved.

  • The features of modem construction industry can be summarized as specialization, complexity, and large-scale. Therefore, increasing uncertainty of construction project can not be effectively dealt with traditional method used for construction cost management. Cost overrun affects on successful execution of managing construction project in a negative way. Therefore, accurate estimation is a priori for effective cost management. First, this work analyzes the previous cost estimation model for the effective cost management. Then, a standard structure required for developing the cost estimation model for site development was presented. In addition, the cost estimation model which can be used in planning and design phases was introduced by analyzing real site development projects.

  • An international standard for the product model data, STEP, and a standard for the distributed object technology, CORBA, will play a very important role in the future manufacturing environment. These two technologies provide background for the sharing of product data and the integration of applications on the network. This paper describes a prototype CAD/CAE environment that is integrated on the network by STEP and CORBA. Several application servers and client software were developed to verify the proposed concept. The present CAD/CAE environments are composed of several individual software components which are not tightly integrated. They also do not utilize the rapidly expanding network and object technologies for the collaboration in the product design process. In the design process in a large organization, sharing of application resources, design data and analysis data through the network will greatly enhance the productivity. The integration between applications can be supported by two key technologies, CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture) and STEP(Standard for the Exchange of Product Model Bata). The CORBA provides interoperability between applications on different machines in heterogeneous distributed environments and seamlessly interconnects distributed object systems. Moreover, if all the data in the CAD/CAE environment are based on the STEP, then we can exclude all the data conversion problems between the application systems.

  • This study presents the plans to derive quality items for develop the data quality standard for ensuring the quality of 3D building geospatial data in NDT(National Digital Twin). This paper is organized as follows. The first section briefly examines various factors that impact the quality of 3D geospatial data, and proposes the role and necessity of the data quality standard as a means of addressing the data errors properly and also meeting the minimum requirements of stakeholders. The second section analyzes the relationship between the standards - building data model for NDT and ISO 19157: Geospatial data quality - in order to consider directly relevant standards. Finally, we suggest three plans on developing NDT data quality standard: (1) the scope for evaluating data quality, (2) additional quality elements(geometric integrity, geometric fidelity, positional accuracy and semantic classification accuracy), and (3) NDT data quality items model based on ISO 19157. The plans reveled through the study would contribute to establish a way for the national standard on NDT data quality as well as the other standards associated with NDT over the coming years.

  • Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. (KHNP) has developed and implemented the maintenance effectiveness monitoring (MR) programs for the operating nuclear power plants. The MR program is developed by reflecting design characteristics of the operating nuclear power plants to monitor the plant performance for improving the safety and reliability. Recently, KHNP has built a new nuclear power plant, and developed the MR program to establish the advanced maintenance system by reflecting unique design characteristics based on the OPR1000 standard model. So, the MR program developed in this study has another characteristics in comparison with the OPR1000 standard model, and we will verify the suitability of the MR program through evaluating initial performance of the plant. The safety and reliability of the new plant will be improved by developing and implementing the MR program.
