We investigate the long-term effect of servitization strategy on firm value. Manufacturing companies recognize servitization as their competitive strategies. While most of existing literature have focused on developing theory, presenting framework, or cases, only a few papers examine effects of servitization strategy empirically. We aims to empirically test the long-term relationship between servitization strategy and firm value. Service ratio and Tobin's q are used to measure the degree of servitization and firm performance, respectively. Data set covers 130 manufacturing companies for 12 years from 1998 to 2009.

This study quantifies the dynamic interrelationship between the KOSPI index return and search query data derived from the Naver DataLab. The empirical estimation using a bivariate GARCH model reveals that negative contemporaneous correlations between the stock return and the search frequency prevail during the sample period. Meanwhile, the search frequency has a negative association with the one-week- ahead stock return but not vice versa. In addition to identifying dynamic correlations, the paper also aims to serve as a test bed in which the existence of profitable trading strategies based on big data is explored. Specifically, the strategy interpreting the heightened investor attention as a negative signal for future returns appears to have been superior to the benchmark strategy in terms of the expected utility over wealth. This paper also demonstrates that the big data-based option trading strategy might be able to beat the market under certain conditions. These results highlight the possibility of big data as a potential source-which has been left largely untapped-for establishing profitable trading strategies as well as developing insights on stock market dynamics.

Value of rural amenity resources scattered in rural area is difficult to be assessed isolatedly. Rural Amenity Resources Map (RARM) is developed for assessing rural resources based on specific territory. In the developing process, knowledge based system is oriented because rural amenity is differed from personal feeling. Possible decision trees in RARM are developed in reviewing process of previous GIS based decision support systems, and information strategy planning is constructed for achieving goals such as rural tourism, down shifting, and rural investment.

This aim of the study is to show the necessity of implementing an industrial innovation strategy with consideration given to characteristics of the industrial technology. The relationship between industrial technological characteristics and innovation performance is analyzed by using an innovation survey as well as a human capital corporate panel (HCCP). The time-lag effect is also examined. Findings of the analysis show that high-tech industries have entered the post catch-up technology innovation stage in the mid-2000s, but low-tech industries still seem to stay in the catch-up stage. In terms of technology policy, the additional technology innovation support policy should focus on enhancing the innovation capability of the middle and low technology industries, since high technology industries are already developing their own innovation capability. It is necessary to strengthen capacity building through technical cooperation with technology consulting, rather than providing technical support through suppliers.

Based on the fact that Qingdao port, Tianjin port and Dalian port of the economic circle around Bohai have been the three islands of stability through long-term competition, this paper conducts a system study on the competitive powers of the three ports through AHP model on the analysis of current status of the three ports, and probes deeply into the outer factors and the inner factors affecting on the competitive advantage, and points out the existing problems in competition. We think that the three ports must compete orderly and collaborate closely, and give the forms and approaches developing strategy collaboration in order to obtain an advantageous position in Northeast Asia and improve the international competitive power.

In order to control the hybrid power system efficiently, the knowledge for the required load of the system is important. The agricultural tractor performs various farm works such as plow, rotary, and baler. When it performs rotary tillage and baler operation, the generated work load is analyzed. To analyze trend of work load, moving average technique is applied to the measurement data. Optimal control inputs for the two works are obtained from simulation using the dynamic programming. The novel fundamental control strategy for parallel hybrid tractor called Max. SOC is proposed.

Cell proliferation is a delicately regulated process that couples growth signals and metabolic demands to produce daughter cells. Interestingly, the proliferation of tumor cells immensely depends on glycolysis, the Warburg effect, to ensure a sufficient amount of metabolic flux and bioenergetics for macromolecule synthesis and cell division. This unique metabolic derangement would provide an opportunity for developing cancer therapeutic strategy, particularly when other diverse anti-cancer treatments have been proved ineffective in achieving durable response, largely due to the emergence of resistance. Recent advances in deeper understanding of cancer metabolism usher in new horizons of the next generation strategy for cancer therapy. Here, we discuss the focused review of cancer energy metabolism, and the therapeutic exploitation of glycolysis and OXPHOS as a novel anti-cancer strategy, with particular emphasis on the promise of this approach, among other cancer metabolism targeted therapies that reveal unexpected complexity and context-dependent metabolic adaptability, complicating the development of effective strategies.

Nation-building comprises activities related to creating good, smart and courageous people, building a system that supports the nation's people to live together in an orderly way and building a context that facilitates the nation's people and the nation's system to undertake its duties to the fullest capacity, under the agreed ideology. The process of nation-building is complex and there are many components that contribute to the success of nation-building. As the world is developing towards the knowledge society in the present time, ICT is one tool that will help make the process of nation-building, easier, faster and more successful. Therefore, this article aims to analyze how ICT is important to nation-building covering all aspects of economics, politics and society and involving, people, systems and contexts of Thai society, to explain the present ICT situation in Thailand; and to recommend Thailand's innovative strategy on ICT for nation-building.

Automated vehicles (AVs) are coming to our roadways. In practice, there are still several challenges that can impede the AV sensors are polluted on various road conditions. In this paper, we propose a strategy for V2E performance assurance technology using Kano model. We are developing the vehicle sensor cleaning system about the three types of commonly used sensors: camera, radar, and LiDAR. Surveys were carried out in 30 AV's experts on quality characteristics about V2E performance assurance technology. As a result, the Kano model developed to verify a major requirement of autonomous vehicle's sensor cleaning system. It is expected that the Kano model will be actively used to verify the importance of V2E development strategy.

BIM could be used for integrating project information through life cycle of building facilities. Also it could improve the accuracy and work efficiency through data interoperability with other disciplines. However, these benefits from adopting BIM could not be attained easily in real project cases. In order to make the most use of BIM and get the maximum benefits from it, the environments such as standards, guidelines and the related technologies are also could be supported. Therefore many countries are developing or already developed the technology roadmap for BIM. In this study, we tried to analyze the BIM technology status and develop the strategy for improve usability of BIM in Korea.
