  • The introduction of digital technologies affects most socio-economic processes and activities in the economy, from agriculture to public services. Even though the world is currently only in the early stages of digital transformation, the digital economy is growing rapidly, especially in developing countries. Shortly, digital platforms will be able to replace the "invisible hand" of the market and turn it into digital. Some digital platforms have already reached global reach in some sectors of the economy. The growing value of data and artificial intelligence is reflected in the high capitalization of these enterprises. Their growing role has far-reaching consequences for the organization of economic activity and integration into the field of e-business. However, their importance and level of development in different countries differ significantly. The main purpose of this article is an assessment of the level and trends of the digital economy in the world and the identification of homogeneous groups of states following the main trends in the development of its components from among the EU countries. The methodology of the conducted research is based on the use of general scientific research methods in the analysis of secondary sources and the application of statistical methods of correlation-regression and cluster analysis. Macroeconomic indicators and components of DESI (Digital Economy and Society Index) were used for the analysis. Results. Based on the analysis established that most developed countries have a medium level of digitalization of the business environment and a high level of digitalization of socially oriented public services, while countries with lower GDP focus their policies on building digital infrastructure and training qualified personnel. The study summarizes and analyzes current trends in digital technology, analyzes the level and dynamics of integration of digital technologies of the studied EU countries, the level of development of e-business and e-commerce. The conceptualization of mechanisms of creation of added value in the digital economy is offered and the possible consequences of digitalization of the economy of developing countries are generalized.

  • In the classical research, technological forecasting was used in the field of substitution of a new technology product for a old in the developed countries. But in the developing or underdeveloped countries, more interested in the forecasting of technological level in certain industry than technological forecasting in certain product. This article shows the forecasting method of technological level by using a procedure of AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process). With the historical data of the technological levels in the Korean Civil Aerospace(KCA) industry using AHP questionaire, the Gompertz curve was used to forecast the technological levels of KCA industry.

  • Recently, Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) has been attempting to modernize the review processes for generic drug products. Obviously, the modernization effort will lead to harmonize the guidelines in the process to the internationally acceptable level. In general, the Korean version of abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) consisted of similarly to those in developed countries (viz, specifications for bulk drug/preparation, bioequivalence, and stability); However, there exists a significant gap in the sophistication of the guidelines between the Korean version and those in the other countries. • Dental caries has been widely prevalent with presence of cavitation on teeth. For the last several decades, the prevalence of dental caries in developed countries has rapidly decreased so there has been needed a new and detailed diagnostic guideline to differentiate the severity of dental caries, especially for early status of caries. The cariology specifically requires the development of an integrated definition of dental caries and uniform systems for measuring the caries process in the fields of clinical diagnosis and treatment, epidemiological researches, and dental education and so forth. The international Caries Detection and Assessment System (ICDAS) optically measures the enamel surface changes and potential histological depth of carious lesions by relying on surface characteristics of teeth. ICDAS is a visual classification system that was developed to diagnose the subtle changes of enamel surface, predict the progress direction of early caries, allow standardized data collection in relation to caries in different settings, and to enable better comparison of oral health between countries worldwide and research studies.

  • This article aims to examine the achievement and limitation of adaptation of supply chain management (SCM) to IT human resource development (HRD) in Korea and to derive the implication of the Korean experience to other countries. In late 1990s, the IT New Deal Policy and the quantitative expansion of IT HR were introduced. Since mid-2000s, there has been much innovation in IT products as well as increased demand of highly qualified IT experts. The SCM in IT HRD was introduced in 2004 and continuously developed more. Since the late 2000s, IT convergence expanded to traditional industries and the new IT-based-industries were created in Korea. In this regard, Korea established the Seoul Accord as an international IT engineering education accreditation system in 2008. In response to the paradigm change, in 2011, the Korean government developed TOPCIT, which is a kind of competency test for evaluating IT competency.
