Scoring Methods for Improvement of Speech Recognizer Detecting Mispronunciation of Foreign Language (외국어 발화오류 검출 음성인식기의 성능 개선을 위한 스코어링 기법)

  • An automatic pronunciation correction system provides learners with correction guidelines for each mispronunciation. For this purpose we develope a speech recognizer which automatically classifies pronunciation errors when Koreans speak a foreign language. In order to develope the methods for automatic assessment of pronunciation quality, we propose a language model based score as a machine score in the speech recognizer. Experimental results show that the language model based score had higher correlation with human scores than that obtained using the conventional log-likelihood based score.

  • This study is to develope positioning strategy of fashion underwear market through the perceptual map which can analyze the psychological positioning of the existing fashion underwear brand. A positive study has been made on 176 women in their teens and twenties who live in the Seoul area through questionaire. The collected data was analyzed with Multidimensional Scaling Method, Conjoint Analysis and Cluster Analysis and so on. The results of analyzing the competitive relationships for attributes and the ideal points are as follows: The consumers groups are divided into three market segments on the basis of the ideal points about fashion underwear attributes. $\ulcorner$calvin Klein$\lrcorner$ evaluated excellent in design and color, brand and function attributes, and also appealed well to the segment market 2. $\ulcorner$calvin Klein$\lrcorner$ has good positioning at the fashion underwear market, and as well as the possibility of growth. $\ulcorner$Body Guard$\lrcorner$ appealed well in segment market 1 which highly valued the material and price attributes and $\ulcorner$Body Guard$\lrcorner$ competes with $\ulcorner$Benetton Undercolor$\lrcorner$ in this market. $\ulcorner$Hunt Innerwear$\lrcorner$ has possibilitiy to be appealed in segment market 3. Finally, it is necessary for each fashion underwear company to analyze and develope the segment market 3. Each company has to develope the brand that can appeal in the segment market 3 in which function was highly valued, and has better to make strategies that develope more functional products like sports underwear, bodysuit and bodywear and so on.

  • The main aim of this study is to develope the 'Heung' archive related with Chelonian Hung Ta Rung. Hung archive helps to revitalization of festival 'Hung Ta Rung' and Hung archive is the alleviation for development of contents to record, to maintain, to popularization of dance for displaying in museum. Therefore, this paper develope ways to deploy systematically Hung archive to cope with the needs of integration of various types of dance.

  • In this study, we propose an integrated CAD(Computer Aided Design) library database in a heterogeneous commercial ECAD(Electronic CAD) environment. To effectively solve engineering problems focused on BOM data extraction we use a software system called schematic capture and company-wide standard electronic part information loaded on different commercial ECADs. We unify many commercial ECADs into one schematic capture and a variety of PCB(Printed Circuit Board) design tools. For this purpose we develope a model for linking CAD symbol library with company-wide standard part information. We also develope a schematic design data conversion scheme and show how to extract PBA level BOM data using our customized schematic capture. This system is being operated in an X-Window based engineering work station and commercial RDBMS base.

  • In this study, to develope the ultrasonic transducer element, the extrusion method which is the processing technique of the piezoelectric composite materials is introduced, the connectivity of the piezoelectric composite materials is the 1-3 type, and we study the properties of the materials. The electromechanical coupling factor(kt) of the materials is above 0.6, the resonance property(fr) is the thickness mode in the frequency range of 0.5 to 2 [MHz] and the acoustic impedance(Zac) is about 5 to 7 [Maryl]. From these results, it is known that the piezoelectric composite materials manufactured byt he extrusion method will be able to develope the ultrasonic transducer elements.

  • It is a time since sustainable architecture become a main issue of design concept in 21C. However, it is necessary to develope the tool estimating energy loads and uses in our architectural conditions for energy saving design. This study aims to develope the E-Load program to predict heat and cooling loads of houses. The program is developed by modified bin methods derived from ASHRAE TC 4.7. It consists of 4 divisions such as files, data inputs, energy load estimations and output options. The main processes of energy load estimations are based on ASHRAE fundamentals. The developed E-Load program is a easy and valid tool to predict heat and cooling loads of buildings.

  • The worldwide economy has been changing to global and it's going to be put together as one market day by day. In addition the issue of industry has been advanced to automatic and unmanned systems by integration. Thus it is absolutely necessary to be develope and possess high-end technologies to survive in an age of unlimited competition. This development is the core technology of ship unmanned operating system that is very useful and applicable in many fields in addition to ship equipments. Thus it is required to design and develope our own systems which are more reliable compared with foreign products and easy to use and maintenance. We will make an progress of international competitive and contribute to the state economy.

  • This study was conducted to develope the gripper of a robotic transplanter for bedding plants. Specific objectives of this study were 1) to develope the gripper for plug tray seedlings and 2) to find the suitable finger type for transplanting. The performance of gripper was tested and compared by two different transplanting methods, which were to consider the leaf position of seedlings and not to consider. The results of this study are summarized as follows. (1) The gripper of a robotic transplanter was developed and tested with 4 different finger type. (2) The shovel type finger was suitable for transplanting with the least percent of damaged seedlings.
