The objective of the study is to propose diverse knitwear designs by expanding the scope of the use and application of knit fabric. The study looked into diversifying the knitwear designs by using different types of zippers and with the combination of the diversity given by the zipper used in attachable and detachable method and the traditional North European knit patterns. One way of contributing to the diversity of fashion design is to use the zipper, as it can be implemented as an attachable and detachable fastening system. Also, the combination of North European traditional knit patterns with knit fabric can create a new and unique knit styling. The content of the research focuses on the history and definition of North European traditional knitwear based on the analysis of theoretical background, types, and characteristics of the knit patterns. Case studies were observed to show the application of knit patterns. The methods of the study used are preceding research along with research, collection, analysis of data, information from Korean and foreign literature, and Internet websites. During knitwear production, the two types of zippers were used in combination with four traditional Northern European knitwear Aran, Fair Isle, Nordic, and Ropy. The knitting techniques applied in the process were cable fisherman (5GG, SES 124CS) and Tubular Jacquard (3GG, 7GG, SES 122CS) for knitting machinery, and the technique of whole garment for hand knitting.

The purpose of this research is to industrialize and to localize traditional culture resources of Andong by developing festival costumes related to 'Andong Mask Dance Festival'. We tried several methods to deliver meanings and images of festival costumes, as followings. Frist, from April, 2009 to October, 2012, we created the new design of the festival costumes after consulting with 7 festival experts about the conditions and characteristics of 'Andong Mask Dance Festival'. The festival costume design is characterized by the detachable parts of clothing based on Han-bok style, the front and back of bodice, right and left side of both sleeves, and pockets, which can be tied up with strings. Therefore the consumers can choose and attach the part they want. Secondly, the newly created festival costumes were evaluated appropriately to the consumer's satisfaction, implementation, practicality, and long-term development possibility according to the survey of 85 participants who were, in fact, wearing the festival costumes in the festival. The results are as follows: Frist, festival costumes are based on Korean traditional costumes, and it appears wearing object as festival costumes. Secondly, traditional beauty and modern beauty are well matched up, so men and women of all ages are possible to wear. Thirdly, size of costume can be controlled, so it's easy to wear. Finally, construction method is very simple. The possibility of long-term development by various material development is needed.

One of trend of portable devices is convergence with other devices, especially with navigation system. This converged system is generally called PND (Personal Navigation Device). This detachable device is developed for personal entertainment in everyday life and navigation system when deriving, so it should meet the specification of vehicle thermal environment, anti-vibration as well as the anti-shock by sudden drop. In this paper, the way to design the hard disk drive damper with CAE, is introduced to get a reliable system from the beginning of the design step.

Application the pile group foundation to reduce overall settlement of the foundation and also avoid a very fruitful settlement of foundations, inconsistent was carried out. In such a case, in event that the Foundation, not as a mere pile group, which as a system consisting of a broad foundation with pile Group, economic design criteria will be provided in spite of high safety. A new approach in the design of the Foundation can be introduced as the piles are just a tool to improve the parameters of soil hardness; that it can work with detachable piles from raft. Centralized arrangement of piles as the most optimal layout of piles in reducing inconsistent settlement, which is the lowest value of resulting layout in this differential settlement. Using the combination of piles connected and disconnected to form the raft, bending moment created in the raft is reduced. It also concentrated arrangements have greatest effect in reducing amount of moment applied to the raft.

Most tasks of the large vertical or ceiling structures have been carried out by human power. Those tasks require us much operation costs and times, safety devices, etc. So the need of automation for those tasks have been rising. That automation needs a wall-climbing mobile vehicle. Most former researches are things about attachment devices and moving mechanisms. A wall-climbing mobile vehicle must be designed by a method different from the case of the vehicle of the horizontal environment. That is because gravity acts as a negative role on the stability of a wall-climbing vehicle. In this thesis, the particular shape characteristics of a wall-climbing mobile vehicle are derived by the wall-environment modeling. In addition, some design constraints of the permanent magnetic wheel as an attachment device was studied. According to those requirements and constraints, one specific wall-climbing mobile vehicle was designed and some experiments were made on the attachment ability of that vehicle.

This paper aims at studying about spatial structures and formative characteristics of Lucy Orta's fashion design. Her works utilizes the thought related on the architectural space that has been revealed sharp change of the paradigm since the late of 20th century. Lucy Orta against individualism of the urban life, and manufactures portable and moving housing and multi-functional fashion that is paved with individual rest unit and give a sense of security through simple combination among the units. Besides, she has development multiple portable clothing and equipments for the rescuethrough exploiting pioneering high technology. The results of this study can be summarized as the following: 1) refuge habitant creates individual space for physical and mental protection from the urban surrounding, 2) nomadic dwelling shows multi-functional fashion space fit for digital nomads' life style aims at continuous movement, 3) connective nexus and urban life guard are comprise of detachable individual unit in public space for remaking of the bonds, affinity, and relationship, and the complex of rescue clothing and equipments for meeting a challenge of the threat about human existence from uncertain environmental change in the future.

This study develops a cool-touch functional Dancesport top for middle-aged women by using cool-touch materials in areas where surface temperature becomes high after exercise. The post-exercise surface temperature of the developed research product was compared and analyzed. In addition, subjective evaluation of cool-touch as well as appearance and movement evaluations were performed. The results are as follows. In designing the research product, a detachable neckband was made using highly-preferred hydrated polymer crystals. A material with high moisture absorption speed was also used in F1, S1, under arm and B5, while a material with good thermal conductivity was used in other parts of the bodice. Deodorant tape with antibacterial and deodorant effects was incorporated in the armpit for additional comfort. As for wear evaluation of the research product, significant differences were found in 10 areas using a material with high moisture absorption speed to compare and analyze the post-exercise surface temperatures of the clothing. The temperature difference between the compared top and the research product in the neckband area was 9.16℃, demonstrating clear cool-touch function in using cool-touch material. In the subjective evaluation of cool-touch function, the results showed high scores when asked about the efficiency of the detachable neckband and the ease of movement when wearing the product. In the appearance evaluation, significant differences were found in 11 items, including redundant folds, tightfit, fit, and design line. The overall mean score of the movement evaluation was 4.6, indicating excellent function for movement.

This study had researched purchase trend and preference of jacket design in order to develop a prototype of an outdoor wear jacket that can be worn for a light outdoor activity targeting middle-aged men and women. An outdoor wear was purchased mostly in a permanent discount store and functionality such as activity and material was considered as important in addition to design. There was difference in ages for the jacket style, but in general, people preferred a wind protection jacket and men preferred black colors and women preferred red colors. For the design of jacket, both men and women had preferred a jacket that has moderate fitness with detachable hat and a zipper, and it was applied to the prototype. The jacket had applied different color in the armhole line that is connected to sleeve in order to make waist look slimmer and stretchable material was used to improve functionality in the armpit part.

The purpose of this study is the improvement of the senior patients' life quality by providing aesthetic and emotional stability by creating and providing a newly designed patient wear for them. Empirical research and analysis were done for the research. Survey from advanced research and clothing design for the senior citizens in Japan and German are analyzed. The result of this research extracted characteristics, which applied to the production of a severe senior patient wear. And the following characteristics emerged: affordability, comfort, aesthetics, and ease of putting on the clothes. To meet these conditions by the details of the clothing design, using fasteners like zippers and Velcro is useful. It is able to solve the problem of affordability making the vertically integrated overalls to be able being separated by zippers in order to reduce the volume of laundry. It was able to overcome the discomfort due to contamination of the feces through the use of the fasteners even though the importance of choosing the comfort material related closely to the comfort. Using material mixed with multiple colors, plaid or bright pink, instead of using neutral colors fulfilled the aesthetic requirement. In Particular, utilizing detachable function fasteners contributed great services.

The purpose of this study was to provide basic information for developing a smart taekwondo uniform with enhanced functionality for children by investigating the wearing condition and satisfaction of taekwondo uniform among taekwondo training children. The data were collected from 162 children living in Seoul and Daegu. For data analysis were performed descriptive statistics, ${\chi}2$ -test and t-test using SPSS Ver. 12. The results of the analysis are as follows. The results revealed that respondents wearing the general training uniform during their training period were the most. The dissatisfaction for the general training uniform was a high price, lack of symbolic, lack of functionality in textiles, lack of variety in design and unfittness of size in order. The developed uniform can adjust the length using a zipper type fastener, and can be used in all seasons as the lining is detachable. It also uses nano-silver material, and soil release finish. It enhances the functionality of movement by treating with raglan sleeve and sleeve hem velcro tape, and designs the upper garment in the draping. Safety is improved through attaching GPS, and elastic material is mixed in the neckline for putting on and off easily. Piece of cloth is added inside the closing of the upper garment. Rings are made for fixing the taekwondo uniform belt. Pocket is designed in the lower garment and colors are multiplied.
