This study began with the idea that globalism would develop regional cultural diversity as well as contribute to the field of art. In 2000, the Beijing International Fiber Art Biennale held its first large exhibition, and a total of 10 biennales were held from then until 2018. Get an understanding of the Beijing International fiber art Biennale, and select award-winning works from one to ten times to learn about cultural characteristics and identity. The analysis was based on the works of awards from China and Japan, including Korea, which are the center of East Asian culture. The Beijing International Fiber Art Biennale has steadily increased the number of participating countries, writers and works, and once again opened the stage for the revival of textile art following the Lausanne International Tapestry Biennale. Through the Beijing International Fiber Art Biennale, textile artists hope to promote world harmony in textile art, respect cultural diversity and conduct equal dialogue between East and West cultures.

  • User and media are in close coalition with each other in the 21st century's era of New-Media. The new users exposed to the New-Media environment have a complete understanding of the digital media environment, and are also taking on the role of an active identity in the formation of culture in new media. In the field of spatial design, creative spatial interfaces designed through various methods derived from the New-Media environment and technology that weren't even imaginable in the past ultimately came to exist in a mutual relationship with the user, the people. This study is in the same context as studies looking into the establishment of design in media art and digital media space in the New-Media environment. Media art is an outcome arising from the demand towards new art combined with the attempts towards accepting various media as a means for artistic expression. Media art seizes to being a mere part of art, but more. This study aims to look into the theoretical basis of New-Media and define the design process through the expressional characteristics and triggered thoughts thereof. Lastly, the results of the research will be put together to produce the final results. Such analysis process will be the basis of the creation of a new paradigm and spatial thought, and allow people to be concerned about the various changes in spatial formation.

  • This study aimed at revaluating Frank Gehry's freeform constructions. To this end, the study analyzed the way the space composition and circulation system of general constructions are connected with newly extended parts in the Art Gallery of Ontario and, based on this, comparatively analyzed freeform constructions before and after the art gallery, finding out what changes were made in the exterior and interior spaces of freeform constructions built after the art gallery. The results of the study are as follows. First, starting from extending the Art Gallery of Ontario, Gehry came to use glass instead of metal as main material of freeform constructions. In order to create the circulation connecting the existing building and the extended mass, Gehry applied continuing circulation for the first time to the gallery. Third, in addition to design motives, such as the woodblock print depicting a carp by Hiroshige, still life depicting a glass bottle by Morandi and the crease of the shawl in Vermeer's paintings, which Gehry applied to freeform constructions, the design motif which was recently acquired from Pyrenees rock was added. Fourth, the trend of mall construction appeared before and after the Art Gallery of Ontario. Finally, Gary used the shape of fish as a design motif for his work at an important turning point in his Freeform Architecture.

  • Art of today is expressed in various images incorporated in industrial development and visible in industrial parks, modern cities. Avant garde art and modernism brought abstract and conceptual art into conflict in the early 20th century and they absorbed elements of each other and grew into post modernism, which emerged in the 1960s and is still current. The avant garde challenged what was lofty and sometimes opposed modernism and sometimes fed it in cycles until post modernism was established. 'Trans avant garde', which, unlike modernism asserted individual expression, also appeared in the 1970s. Trans avant garde is spiritual art in which the artist's conversation with his soul returns. This study examines the readjustments the trans avant garde is making in its relationship with the dominant ethos of different values and offers the world art with important spiritual beauty. Trans avant garde art takes many forms, from thing to huge, which are manifested every where in architecture, interior design and everyday life.
