Jeonse is a unique property rental system in Korea in which a tenant pays a part of the price of a leased property as a fixed amount security deposit and gets back the entire deposit when the tenant moves out at the end of the tenancy. Jeonse deposit is very important in the Korean real estate market since it is directly related to the residential property sales price and it is a key indicator to predict future real estate market trend. Jeonse deposit data shows a skewed and heteroscedastic distribution and the commonly used mean regression model may be inappropriate for the analysis of Jeonse deposit data. In this paper, we apply a Bayesian quantile regression model to analyze Jeonse deposit data, which is non-parametric and does not require any distributional assumptions. Analysis results show that the quantile regression coefficients of most explanatory variables change dramatically for different quantiles. The regression coefficients of some variables have different signs for different quantiles, implying that even the same variable may affect the Jeonse deposit in the opposite direction depending on the amount of deposit.
Measurement of spray deposit is necessary for evaluation of a chemical application technology. However it is not easy and time consuming. A simple method for measuring the deposition amount of spray using a tracer and a spectrophotometer was developed. Various materials were tested to determine an adequate tracer. Food dye was selected as a tracer, because it was cheep and easily treatable. Using NIRS(Near Infrared Reflection Spectrophotometer), a regression curves between maximum absorbance of a solution and concentration of the tracer were obtained. Yellow food dye solution showed a peak of spectrum at 452 nm, and absorbance of peak showed a tendency to increase as concentration increased. Green or pink food dye were tested and judged to be good tracers. However, tracer concentration should not exceed certain limits in order to measure maximum absorption. Using spraying liquid with known tracer concentration and known amount of washing liquid, spray deposit amount on real targets on leaves could be estimated at less than 13% error level.
Ogbang scheelite deposit imbedded in amphibolite of unknown age was believed, by the previous workers, to be of pegmatite vein. The vein material is composed mainly of plagioclase (albite and oligoclase) and minor amount (less than 5 to 10% each) of hornblende, biotite and quartz. Orthoclose and tourmaline are accompanied in few places and scheelite and minor amount of fluorite, are the ore minerals. On the basis of mineralogical constituents of the vein, vein structures, mode of occurrence of the vein and gradational contact between veins and amphibolite, the present writer conclude that the deposit was formed by segregation from the parent basic igneous rock of amphibolite. The main portions of the deposit were formed by intrusion of ore solution into already solidified amphibolite after being segregated in deeper horizone, whereas the minor portion by segregation of ore solution in situ.

This study was conducted to analyze the actual utilization rate of the deposit for defect repair of apartment complexes and its influential factors. We analyzed the data on enforced defect deposit cases by using one-sample t-test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and simple linear regression analysis. The difference between the deposit amount specified and the enforcement amount actually disbursed was found to about 0.51%. The change rates for short-term costs amounted approximately to $839KRW/m^2$ and 130,000 KRW/household per year, and those for long-term costs were $647KRW/m^2$ and 123,207 KRW/household per year. The results warrant the need for further research on establishing a deposit amount based on actual statistical data.

During the period from December, 1990 to November, 1991, dustfall samples were collected by deposit jar at 28 sites in Seoul area and the amount of deposits of seven dissolved components$(SO_4^{2-}, NO_3^-, NH_4^+, Na^+, Ca^{2+}, Mg^{2+})$ were measured. The total amount of deposit was in order of Spring > Fall > Winter > Summer, and the amount of soluble components were high in the northeast region (Sanggae and Jangwe) and southwest region (Sangdo, Kuro, Siheung and Oryu). Total amount of major soluble components highly depended on regional air flow rather than emission source characteristic, and showed the regional trend-Residential > Iidustrial > Commercial > Rural, and the seasonal trend-Winter > Fall > Spring > Summer.

The effects of the composition and additives on the blackening and deposition rate of electroless Ni-Zn plating have been examined. Hydrazine resulted in lower sheet resistance of the deposit than sodium hypophosphite. Zinc concentration more than 15 wt% and small amount of ammonium sulfate in the deposits were needed in obtaining Ni-Zn deposit with a black color. An optimum condition was obtained for the black Ni-Zn deposit at an appreciable deposition rate.

As discarded fishing gear settles or floats on the seabed, it destroys the spawning and habitat of fisheries resources that causes various safety accidents and adverse effects on the environment, such as generating microplastics and causing ship accidents. In order to solve this problem, this study is intended to present an implementation plan for establishing a fishing gear deposit system in order to use it as basic data for establishing policies for fishing gear management in Korea. In order to successfully implement the fishing gear deposit system, the deposit system must be established in the form of fishing gear completed at the production stage. It was found that the marking of the object should be easy, and that determining an appropriate deposit amount to motivate the return of waste fishing gear and establishing a convenient return procedure for returned waste fishing gear were important factors. In addition, transparent management of unreturned deposits and mandatory use of fishing gear subject to the deposit system for fishermen will be necessary. The role of a specialized organization to manage and operate all of these procedures is also very important. It is necessary to establish a new mandatory provision in the Fisheries Act to require fishermen who directly use fishing gear to use fishing gear with a deposit refund mark, and to ensure the implementation of the deposit system by linking it with the evaluation items of government policy projects. Since the main purpose of the deposit system is to collect discarded fishing gear, a support plan will be necessary in accordance with the purchase project for fishing waste salvaged by local governments in 2020.
Stellite 12 alloy-powders were overlaid on 410 stainless steel valve seat using plasma transferred arc(PTA) process. Variation of the microstructure, hardness, wear and corrosion of overlaid deposit with current change was investigated. The deposit showed hypoeutectic microstructure, which was consisted of primary cobalt dendrite and networked $M_7C_3$ type eutectic carbides. As current increased, the amount of eutectic carbide decreased and its dendritic secondary arm spacing increased. Hardness of the deposit was decreased with increase of current. Stress relief heat treatment at $600^{\circ}C$ for two hours resulted in slight increase of hardness in the deposit and showed uniform hardness distribution in base metal without any hardened layer in HAZ. Specific wear decreased with increase of sliding distance. The deposit of high hardness with a lot of eutectic carbide showed relatively low specific wear. Initial corrosion current density of the deposit in 0.1N sulfuric acid was lower than those of 410 stainless steel, and showed a little variation with PTA current.

The legal deposit for the national library in all countries is the most important mean for acquiring the country's off-line and on-line publications. Because of many limitations of legal deposit system, however, the National Library of Korea does not properly collect the useful materials produced or manufactured in Korea. In order to solve this problem, the author analyzed the status of collection development by legal deposit and estimated the total amount of domestic publications. Based on the these results, author suggested five plans for strengthening the national collections in terms of the provisional 'deposit law', the further development and complementary of current legal deposit regulations (guidelines and standards), desirable amendments of the legal deposit provisions in library act, reasonable division of the deposit targets, and optimization strategies of acquisition scope by material types.
Undoubtedly, the basic sinking fund formula gives the future value of a series of equal installments. The main underlying assumption for using this formula is that installment and compounding frequency must be in equal interval. But when installment for a deposit scheme or any other savings scheme and compounding frequency do not occur in an equal interval, which is treated as the complex annuity problems in Finance Literature, the basic sinking fund formula does not give the accurate result. As a result, the obtainable amount from different deposit schemes offered by different banks and financial institutions does not match with the amount of future value calculated through the basic sinking fund formula by the investors or savers. This study focuses the concealed facts for such type of mismatches in values and at the same time it provides a solution through developing a new formula by extending the basic formula intended not only to remove those mismatches but also get the accurate future value from a sinking fund provision in case of complex annuity. Besides, since banks and financial institutions calculate the interest on the average amount of equal installments deposited within a period of time due to complex annuity, the study also formulates an arithmetic formula for calculating the average amount of installment.
