Low Temperature Magnetization and Spin Wave Excitations in Amorphous Fe67 Co18B14Si1

  • The temperature dependent saturation magnetization curve of amorphous Fe67 Co18B14Si1, alloy was measured using a SQUID magnetometer and vibrating sample magnetometer from 5 K up to 800 K. Inelastic neutron neutron scattering measurements also have been used to study the long wavelength spin dynamics of this high Tc amorphous ferromagnetic alloy. The magnon dispersion curve exhibit the conventional quadratic relationship E = D (T) q2 + $\Delta$, typical of an iso=obtained from a low temperature magnetization curve, which was consistent with the value obtained from the analysis oif inelastic neutron scattering data after consideration of its temperature dependence.

Tunable Slow Light with Large Bandwidth and Low-dispersion in Photonic Crystal Waveguide Infiltrated with Magnetic Fluids

  • Two kinds of magnetic fluids with different volume fractions are symmetrically filled into the W0.9 photonic crystal waveguide structure. The 2D plane-wave expansion method is used to investigate the slow light properties numerically. The constant group index criterion is employed to evaluate the slow light performance. The wavelength bandwidth ${\Delta}{\lambda}$ centering at ${\lambda}_0=1550nm$ varies from 32.4 to 44.2 nm when the magnetic field factor ${\alpha}_{\parallel}$ changes from 0 to 1. And the corresponding normalized delay bandwidth product can be tuned from 0.221 to 0.258. For comparison and optimization, two infiltration cases are investigated and the more advantageous infiltration scheme is found.

  • In this paper, we simulated a radiation pattern directivity of microstrip patch antenna for 9[GHz] using the computer. It is analyzed and compared the directivity of field characteristics at two different aspects. One is that of 1-dimension and 2-dimension array, the other is that of a linear and planar array antenna. We tried the constants for the simulation of teflon substrate, dielectric constant ${\varepsilon}r=2.50$, ground plane conductor thickness t=0.03556, substrate height h=0.72188, dielectric loss degree $tan{\delta}$=0.00085, characteristics impedence of line $Zo=50({\Omega})$. The major advantage of microstrip patch antenna is that the arrangement of antenna is associated with the directivity and effectiveness. We have been studied the difference of the radiation pattern of antenna with wave variety through computer simulation.

  • Optical and quadratic electrooptic properties were studied for some compositions(BLN/PZ/PT=9.0/70/30,9.0/65/35,8.5/70/30,8.5/65/35) of the two-stage sintered BLN-PZT ceramics. Effective birefringences(${\Delta}n$), quadratic electrooptic coefficients(R) and half-wave voltages($V_{\pi}$) were measured with electric field and temperature. Also, switching times and contrast ratios were measured.

  • This work presents a study on development of a practical and quantitative technique for assessment of the structural health condition by piezoelectric impedance-based technique associated with longitudinal wave propagation method. The bolt fastening condition is adjusted by torque wrench. In order to estimate the damage condition numerically, three damage indices, impedance peak frequency shift ${\Delta}F$ is proposed in this paper. Furthermore, an assessment method is described for estimation of the damage by using these three damage indices.

Model test and numerical simulation of OC3 spar type floating offshore wind turbine

  • Nowadays, the study on Floating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWTs) is being performed globally. Dozens of numerical simulation tools have been developed for designing FOWTs and simulating their performances in combined wave and wind environments. On the other hand, model tests are still required to verify the results obtained from numerical simulation tools. To predict seakeeping performance of the OC3-Hywind platform, a OC3 spar model moored by a 3-leg catenary spread mooring system with a delta connection was built with a 1/128 scale ratio. The model tests were carried out for various sea states, including rotating rotor effect with wind in the Ocean Engineering Wide Tank, University Of Ulsan (UOU). The model test results are compared with the numerical simulations by UOU in-house code and FAST.

방향성 있는 음원이 적용된 음향 포물선 방정식 모델 (Acoustic parabolic equation model with a directional source)

  • 해양에서 음향 포물선 방정식은 거리 의존 환경에서 단일 음원으로부터 음장을 계산하는데 효율적인 방법이다. 그렇지만 실제 문제에서는 종종 방향성 있는 음원을 사용해야하는 필요성이 있다. 본 논문에서는 포물선 방정식 모델에 손쉽게 방향성 있는 음원을 적용할 수 있는 두 가지 방법을 제안한다. 첫 번째 방법은 전 방향음원의 수학적 모델인 Delta 함수를 필터링 하는 것이다. 두 번째 방법은 포물선 방정식의 self-starter 해에 유리함수 필터를 적용하는 방법이다. 후자의 방법은 깊이 방향에 대해 상향 및 하향 음파를 분리하지 못한다는 단점이 있으나 모드 전파를 구현하는데는 유용하다. 검증을 위한 수치 예제가 Pekeris 환경과 심해 환경에서 주어졌다.

백회(百會)(GV20).신회(顖會)(GV22) 자침이 뇌파에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Acupuncture at the GV20 and GV22 on the Electroencephalogram(EEG))

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to examine the effects of Acupuncture at the GV20 and GV22 on normal human beings using power spectrum analysis. Methods : Electroencephalogram(EEG) power spectrum exhibits site-specific and state-related differences in various frequency bands. 8 channels Background Electroencephalogram (EEG) was carried out in 30 subjects(24 females and 4 males). Results : In ${\delta}$(theta) band, the power values decreased significantly at the 8-channel average value(p=0.03) and especially at T3(p=0.02), T4(p=0.001) and P3(p=0.03). In ${\alpha}$(alpha) band, the power values have no significant changes. In ${\beta}$(beta)band, the power values increased significantly at the 8-channel average value (p=0.02) and especially at T4(p=0.003), P3 (p= 0.03) and P4(0.02). In ${\beta}/{\delta}$(beta/theta) ratio, the value increased significantly at the 8-channel average value(p=0.002) and especially at Fp2(p=0.05), F4(p=0.007), T3(0.012), T4(0.005), P3 (0.007) and P4(0.03) Conclusions : Through this data, we conclude that acupuncture at the GV20 and GV22 on normal human beings could have possibility to awake the cerebral cortex by the functional mechanism.

게임콘텐츠의 시청행위와 게임행위의 사용자 경험과 뇌파반응특성 (An Experiment of User Experience and Neurophysiological Patterns during Watching and Playing a Video Game)

  • 실재감, 몰입, 각성은 비디오가 제공하는 흥미로운 사용자 경험이다. 사용자들은 개인의 관심에 응해줄 수 있는 미디어에 대한 요구가 강해지고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 사용자의 요구를 바탕으로 설문조사방법과 뇌파측정을 결합하여 비디오 시청과 게임을 비교한 연구이다. 연구결과, 비디오 게임이 비디오 시청에 비해 실재감, 몰입, 각성이 높은 수준으로 확인되었으며, 몰입의 상태와 관련이 있다고 알려진 뇌파 역시 높은 수준으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로 게임몰입에 영향을 주는 요인으로 실재감, 각성, 뇌파(${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$, ${\delta}$)변인이 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 이 연구는 자기보고와 더불어 뇌파측정을 통해 실증적으로 분석하고 관련분야의 이론적, 방법론적 발전에 기여하고자 하였다.
